Watched this video and a light bulb went off!! My 2018 500s has been having odd random starting issues where it take a few presses of the button before it actually turns over. Months ago I did a load test on the battery and it passed. Just went out to check my machines harness and it was in very similar condition (black plastic wasn't as deformed). Electric contact spray, wire brush and douched the crap out of it with dielectric grease. Also the 30amp fuse has seen better days as well. The green plastic was deformed from heat which sadly caused it to break when I pulled it out and one side of the fuse stayed put while the other side came out with the plastic. Again electric contact spray, dielectric grease and new 30amp fuse. Big thanks for posting these types of videos and helping out this brands community!!
Having issue with my '21 600 touring, jiggle the ignitions switch to get dash to light up, sometimes just clicks, somtimes will start. However now it's becoming more difficult to start. First thought is to replace the ignition switch, now after watching this I will check this wiring connection.
Great tips! A boot could also be add! For the DIY’er - best to disconnect the NEGATIVE- terminal 1st as the solenoid is live! This also applies to adding the wires winch remote.
My 2020 cforce 500s solenoid just ticks really fast/ vibrates. Just put a new solenoid on it today and it still does the same thing. If I jump the solenoid it starts right up. Any help would be great. Thanks!
We are having issues with my 21 and my dad's 17 both just click when cold. Tried new solenoids and still does it.. not a battery issue because when we jump solenoids out they fire right up. Wondering if the plug is our issue
Having same issue with mine, jiggle the ignitions switch and would start and dash would light up, now finding that it is becoming more difficult and often clicks with no start.
Thank you for the video. I'm having a problem with my 20 Cforce 600 touring. When starting, I get one click, and it doesn't turn over. If I continue to try and start it will do the same after multiple times then start. Now it doesn't click or turn over. All the wires and connections are clean and seem to be in good condition. Would it be the solenoid went bad or the starter? The battery is ready 12.6
I have a 2019 cfmoto 400 and mine quit starting. I found that if I kinda wiggled the ignition switch it would start but that soon stopped working also so I replaced the switch and now the dash lights up but I can't hear the fan or pump come on and when I push the start button I get nothing. Please help!!! It has a error code on it. Something like a bulb symbol but I have no way of checking it
I had a problem today on my 2021 cforce 800xc. Turned off while driving, then it wouldnt turn on, only crank and fuel pump wouldnt turn on. Only thing I could hear was the relay. And fuses next to the battery are all good. Have you had this problem before?
My CForce 600 is only 10 months old and just quit running while driving down the driveway. When I turn the key, I don't hear the fuel injection system turn on and the machine will not even start. I have 300 miles on the dash, this stinks. Any ideas as to what could possibly be the problem? The ATV was running fine then just stopped for no reason and won't start.
It turns out I had two issues. The first issue was a bad fuse connection to the fuel injection. You know how you can hear the system turn on when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position. Nothing happened at all. So that was just a bad connection and easy fix. The second issue was not good at all. The crank had a casting flaw during the manufacturing process. CF Moto is aware of this issue. During the "pandemic," many companies suffered in QA and had a bad batch of castings. Through casting numbers, CF Moto confirmed my block was part of that bad batch. So the dealership installed a new "long block" and I have a new motor I'm currently breaking in again. Once I reach 100 miles, I have to bring the C Force 600 back to have the valves adjusted. So far things a going great with the new motor. The service manager showed me a pic of the sheared crank. The crank had "rust" about a 3rd of the way across the surface area showing it had a "air bubble" during the casting process. I hope this helps and you have a fuse issue. I have the C Force 800 too. I have had zero issues and love the machine. My son rides the C Force 600. Other than those two issues, the machine is running fine and seems to be solid after the repairs. Good luck
Where is the fuse connection located? I’m having him this issue with a 21 Cforce 500. Sometimes the fuel pump comes in with key, sometimes it doesn’t. Or can randomly kill while driving. Flick kill switch until you hear the fuel pumps come on and it starts right back up. Very frustrated with bike and especially the dealer. Been to shop 4-5 times and they can’t find anything wrong (clearly lying because they don’t want to have to deal with it). I’m about to call CF Moto and see if they’ll help.
Both times from water getting in, simply from washing the bike or heavy rain maybe couple puddles, so this time after I replaced the plug And solenoid I added a bunch of rubber in there to try and stop water getting into that compartment as much, Australia 🇦🇺
My CFORCE 600 2021 has the rubber boot on it but I still stuffed mind full of dialective grease when I 1st brought it. Any connector like that that water could get into I stuffed with dialective Greece as soon as I got it home witch every buddy should do after all they do spend a lot of time in muddy conditions and some people even think they are submarines.
this happened to us, not the dirty connector but the solenoid quit on us. we had no clue what was wrong but we did it. cluster stopped coming on completely
I got a 2019 500 and plug is good red light on dash blinks constantly some times it will start but die other times you just run the battery down any ideas
Yep. Mine has random starting issues. All of it stemming from a fuel pump/ electrical Issue. Been to dealer 4 or 5 times. They say nothing is wrong because it doesn’t do it while there. Key switch turn on, fuel pump is sometimes audible. Does this while driving too. Randomly kills when going uphill or slowing down to a stop. Have to flick kill switch multiple times to get the fuel pump to work. I was at my deer lease and the EFI light turned on. I let sit for a minute and started back up with no issues. All it’s going to take is to leave me stranded in the woods 1 time and I’m setting it on fire and going buy a Honda.

Glad we can help brother!! Thanks for sharing your story too!! It could help others
Should pack that plug with dielectric gel that would really help after that repair! Nice video guys!
Yes absolutely! I agree.. and thank you.
We just were showing how to restore it to the factory setup
I've had this very bit fail together on my 2019 800xc, it was a horrible job getting it fixed... This would have been a beautiful thing to have.
Same
This plug is a money saving upgrade. Lot cheaper than having to buy a wiring harness.
Should look at adding the rubber boot the plug for future prevention and use dioelectrod grease just a thought
That is a great tip and even better thing to know how to repair thank you for the great video
Thank you!! We appreciate you

What was a the symptoms of this not working? I have a 2021 cforce 500s and it won’t crank. I tested the fuse box and they all work

Can you provide a link to where I could order this ? My 2019 just did this today. I haven’t torn into it but I’m pretty certain it’s the issue.
www.mainstreetcycle.com/shopping/item/1988/STARTERSOLENOIDREPLACEMENTPLUG
Liquid electrical tape on backside of plug will seal it , and Dielectric grease on connections

Know what else keeps it from corroding like that? Don't use your atv as a boat or submarine.🤣
Once I got my machine I die electric greased every plug possible.
👍
Where can i get this plug
