Zebegeny - Hungarian Village near Budapest, Hungary

Zebeheny is a picturesque historic village in Pest County, Hungary. It is located 60 km north of Budapest, in the Danube Bend, next to the Duna-Ipolia National Park. This is a favorite place for tourists who love silence and fresh air.

I was born in Zebegény ages ago and passed there the most free, happy and beautiful childhood I could desire. I recognise all the places, there are new edifices but the village did not change too much. Received the video from my son and will keep it like a treasure. Thank you very much.

I love Zebegény, I've been here many times in the summer to create and relax at the amateur art camp. Bathing in the Danube was also an experience. A real holiday village, the painter István Szőnyi and others are also connected to Zebegény. I have also been to the beautiful Art Nouveau church of Károly Kós many times. I love you Zebegény! 🌹❤🙏❤🌹

I think I went to this village by mistake in 2004. Got on the wrong train for Vienna. Jumped off here & tried to ask locals for directions but couldn't find anyone who spoke English & Magyar is such a unique language, I couldn't muddle my way through. In the end I just jumped on the next train heading back to Budapest.
It was a shame I was so hungover that day & was trying to get somewhere as this village looks very pretty!

I've been to Hungary on two occasions and it's a nice/ quaint country. Meat was delicious but the language impossible to master 😅😅😅😅 I would go back any time
