The best in the world going at the jokes like it's nobody's business! I love it! Thank you all for what you provide to the world of horn playing; your contributions will forever be remembered and appreciated.
I enjoy watching this tough I'm a string player, it feels so good when the partner still having some happy interaction with each other offstage. And also, I just wish that the violin section can make something like this too. Bravo the Berlin Horn section!
What Stephan said: listen to good players and try to emulate the sound. Valves with strings don't need to be restrung very often. I restrung some of mine after maybe five years but they really didn't need it! I'm sure one could go ten years with good string.
Are they all playing Alex 103? Is consistency in manufacturing good enough now that it's ok to order one on-line through a dealer? Most dealers don't carry more than one or two in the states. How can you make sure you get the right one?
what is the right breathing technique? and how do you get such a clear beautiful sound? i just bought a brand new yamaha 668 for 4000 dollars and i get a better sound but not like that :/
I wonder if someone has the transposition of the four Wagner tubas in The Walkirie to Horns in F due to a lack of the original tubas !!! Thanks in advance for the help Manuel
Practice, practice, practice... If you buy an Alexander 103 or another professional horn you have the same problem. Buzzing, breathing's exercises, spyrometer, embouchure. That's all the 90% of the work. Well, I'm thinks that. I'm play on a Kalison Conservatory, Lusardi, Crott models and now I'm on a Hans Hoyer full double with detachable bell...I obatin a new kind of sound, a better sound only with practice.
Fergus's warmup is the best
I'm a tuba player, but Fergus is my spirit animal.
Ten years later this video is still hilarious, and every bit of it is still true. These guys are the best!

"The audience doesn't pay to hear you try." Thank you, Sarah! Good advice for any performer.

I wonder if any of these artists have recorded Schubert’s Auf dem Strom? If so, could you post it? Thank you so much.

Very late, but it's the first horn part to Bach's Brandenburg concerto, and Sarah joins in with the 2nd part.
