It doesn't really make that much of a difference if you use Helium or Hydrogen. The biggest desaster in airship history by death toll actually happened in a Helium-filled one. Airships are just too fragile. The weather WILL break them apart. Just check out what happened to the R-101, the Shannondoah, and Akron and the Macon.
Good morning! Amazing march, like all German marches. As I already said in a comment to an of your posts related to Zeppelin, this march reminds me Bodensee, Lake Constance, Meersburg, Zeppelin Museum, that those passionate about the history of Germany should definitely visit. Thank you and have a wonderful day! 💓❤💗💖♥🎼🎶🎵💐😍

What do you mean by Souza flavour? Sorry. While i'm quite into marches, im not a big Souza listener and I dont really know the trademarks of his works.

Love this tune and the picture 🖼️ rearranges my thinking over again and again what if there were a way to bring these Zeppelins back and make them safe to once again navigate the skies. Celebrate the accomplishment of such a marvel! 🎼🎵🎶🎺🥁🤗🇩🇪♥️❗
Three things: 1. The trio is in G-flat Major! 2. Meine Omi studied at Columbia Teachers College 1928-1932 and saw the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin fly over NYC and land at Lakehurst NAS several times. All of New York would take time off of work to see her pass. 3. Contrary to British propaganda, the WW1 Zeppelin service did NOT suffer heavy combat losses and aircrew did NOT have to be marched into their ships at gunpoint! Most of the airships survived the war and were set alight by their own crews after the armistice, so as to avoid them being captured as war trophies. Thanks Dr. Ludwig!
She was one of the most successful aircraft ever built. And, all things considered... it's time for airships to make a comeback.... My "Grossi" was a student at Columbia and NYU in 1929 and saw the Graf fly over NYC on her 'round the world trip that year. Two things I envy my grandparents' generation: they saw the age of steam railroads, and they saw the mighty German airships of the 1920s. Pity that we Yanks were never able to get that technology to work as well as Germany did, even when US airships flew on helium.
The Graf Zeppelin set several distance records on that flight - she flew from Friedrichshafen non-stop to Tokyo, then made (IIRC) the first non-stop flight across the Pacific - both unheard-of in 1929. "Gruss Gott und ganz gut", airship men!
Das war immer der Hausmarsch vom Hafenkonzert in Friedrichshafen Aber die Tradition geht leider den Bach runter Es ist wichtig das die Tradition nicht den Bach runtergeht
bring back zeppelin air travel
I am terrified of flying but somehow the thought of traveling by zeppelin brings me comfort
just use helium this time
There are quite good substitutes indeed, just a little more expensive
(Hindenburg Disaster)
There is still Zeppelin Travel (in south Germany at the Lake of Constance where Graf Zeppelin lived)... I live there
(Yes, they fly with helium)

Love the emperor of Prussia
Imagine this things flying above Berlin today ;-;
@cristopher wong because those vehicles were out of production after the Hiddenburg disaster in 1936 and the "oh the humanity" biz
A lovely march for a lovely mode of transportation championed by one of Germany’s most intelligent nobles.
This is glorious.
Embrace the never finished Aircraft Carrier
In our hearts she is finished
Thanks to Göring
At least Japan gave second Life for her... What?
Graf Zeppelin wäre sie doch fertig geworden :(
Aircraft carrier.
Noble.
And the Airship.
All in our hearts

Yeah, German marches pretty much cover everything and make you feel across most of the emotional spectrum...
Sure, they are of an older time, but for some reason Zeppelins amongst other late Imperial innovations give this almost futuristic appeal.

Ferdinand von Zeppelin literally had a full ass song named in his honor, what a man he was
A military march for Zeppelins that's gotta be epic
Ein super Marsch und sehr gut gespielt und eine sehr gute Millitärkapelle
I love big balloons since the age of 4 years old and never get bored of them.
But i love Big balloon (Zeppelin) flying in the skies... 🥰🤗🥳
Epic march, but onr question: Why does this sound like a Souza march?
What do you mean by Souza flavour? Sorry. While i'm quite into marches, im not a big Souza listener and I dont really know the trademarks of his works.
I think when Souza was in Germany, he picked up a bunch of the old Prussian marches, and sure enough now they are a part of American culture
They made a song about blimps
what madlads
Not blimps, ZEPPELINS!!!
this song was inspired me to write and draw my first original novel and manga. but I haven't finished yet...

What zeppelins lacked in practicality they made up for in whimsical elegance.
Real shame that, imagine a world where these Zeppelins function like modern day cruise ships just in the air.
