My daughter works for Hershey. The reason that it was super busy was that everyone had to use their vouchers, that they were given because of the pandemic, before June 30.
The whole vibe of this video reminded me of the 70's home movies with kids waving to the camera! Nobody waves to the camera anymore!! I loved it! And sweet Meredith's face on that ride that whips you around the corner... so adorable!! And as enjoyable as your vacation was (was it 3 years you were gone? 😉) I'm sure you're happy to be home!
I’m loving this wholesome family vacay. I love how you live in Florida, practically next door to some of the best theme parks in the world but yet you make time to visit these little campy/roadside attraction type parks. I love it!!!
I'm right with ya on that one. I live in Ohio with Cedar Point and King's Island. Cedar Point has been rated the top amusement park in the world with also the most coasters of any park. Went to the Florida parks. We'll keep our parks any day. Love roadside tourist attractions. Better than any theme park. I usually recommend our parks for older kids in love with thrill rides.
Gosh, this reminds me so much of trips we took when our kids were a lot younger. It was hot and tiring and stressful and no one slept well, but now that they’re older and vacation kinda FEELS like a vacation and they’re more independent and sleep and eat well and it’s not as stressful ... watching this makes me miss the smaller days. 🥺 This was sweet to watch. Thanks for taking us along. ❤️
There is a scene in the movie 9to5 (Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda) where they wait in line to use the time clock I guess I didn’t realize how old I really am?? 👀
39:06 they used to have “Lemans Cars” like those at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA when I was a kid. They have since removed them for a coaster. Brings me back to riding them with my dad. Great memory. We had season passes to BG for several years when I was young (mid/late 80s). Man, I’m old…. Thank you for taking us along &sharing your vacation with us. It looked amazing & tiring. It’s nice to get away but always nice to come home too🏡
your 18 summers will go by in the blink of an eye. enjoy them while you can and you will have some beautiful memories when they all come back after they’ve grown
My great Uncle was a Park Ranger, and we had a doe (female baby deer) he rescued and raised on his farm. Her name was “Banjo”. She had the run of his 150 acre farm!!
I’d give ANYTHING to endure another TRIP!! Mine is 22 yrs old, and thankfully making a very successful, happy life for himself- but VACATIONS just aren’t the same. Enjoy the hustle and bustle! It leaves you in an instant. ❤️
So cool, we love Dutch Wonderland! Our daughter is a Labor Day baby and wanted to celebrate her 4th birthday at Dutch a Wonderland. It coincided with the Santa festivities where a bunch of Santa’s come to DW. The one Santa saw our daughter’s birthday shirt in the gift shop and wished her a happy birthday. She was on cloud 9 then we went to use the bathroom and came out to the gift shop filled with Santas singing happy birthday. It was such a memorable magical thing.
I so enjoyed watching this! Sweet Meridith was Everything! She had such a great time. What a beautiful vacation. The kids will definitely have those beautiful memories for the future. Thank you for sharing with us 🥰
I remember going to Hershey in the late 80s with my parents when I was a kid. It has changed SO much. They did have a ride through showing the making of their chocolate, it looked a lot different back then. I remember being amazed. Always been a chocolate lover! Lol 😂
@@blondieb6946 I was surprised to see it had a tram. I mean to me it wasn't a very high tram. I grew up in southern California. I remember riding the tram at Disney Land thinking it was a million miles off the ground. I remember being upset that they took it down. I'm glad there is a park with a tram somewhere.
It will be over WAY too soon!!!!! Enjoy every minute, I know you get tired and all, but you will have YEARS to rest later. You are refreshing and a delight!
I have 1 of the tulip bowls from the antique store. My 2 sisters have the others. They were given to my grandparents as a free gift when they bought their first set of furniture in the 1920's. The color on mine has faded because she used them a lot through the years. She had 8 children including my Mom. I remember seeing those bowls on her table as a child growing up. I'm 63.
Kim!!! You are such an amazing mom 😌 and Alex is an amazing Dad.. the love in your voice alone when talking to them and about them is precious. And that is sad but true we only get 18 summers with them before they are grown but only about 12 summers that they want to actually go and spend family summers with us.. they grow fast my oldest is going to be 15 next month and it's such a sad time for me lol but also happy and proud. I admire you and learn a lot from you. Thank you for sharing your family vacation with us. You are amazing and blessed
Loved the videos of your vacation. Giving me great ideas for future trips with my kids (m19 & m16). I keep saying that as long as they are willing to travel with me, then I will keep planning trips. Thanks for sharing, especially the antique shops.
Thank you so much for sharing your family vacation..my children are grown up and it's so nice to relive it all again through your children's happiness and love. I appreciate seeing all the different places that I won't be able to ever see..you filmed them fantastic and very informatively and I feel like I've been there! Your amazing! Blessings to you and yours❤🦋
Thanks for taking me on vacation with you!! The awkward pose in front of the Reese's Cup Fusion is to die for!!!!!! I'll have to remember that for some fun family pictures. lol!
Thanks for taking the time to include us on this fun trip Kim. The kids are all so adorable especially Meredith. Her smile just steals the show. Can't believe that she has grown up so much that she can go on the rides. Wentworth is a little man now n is fearless. Love it.
oh my goodness Kim!!! This is bringing me back!!! I grew up in Maryland! I went to elementary and middle school there! Currently living in South America! But that Hershey Park section of the vlog!! OMG!! My entire childhood! We used to road trip a lot in that region and we went to Hershey Park a couple of times!! We also visited Amish little towns! These travel vlogs have been so fun!!
We used to take our kids on the same vacation and been to Dutch Wonderland several times. Nice thing about that park, is that the little ones can do almost everything there!
Aww.. this video is so sweet! Thanks for taking us with you on vacay! This is actually my vacation watching your vacation! :D This takes me back about 25 years with my kids and you are giving your kids such a gift of recording all of your adventures because when they're older, they won't remember all the fun little things you have captured. So glad you guys had a great time and the weather was perfect!
The best thing is make happy memories they will always remember when they are older. My family had good memories growing up. That’s what life is about family.
Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. I've seen places I would have never seen before and I really appreciate that a lot. Somehow I never Hersey had a park and never heard of the other places either but because of you I will look them up. Thanks for sharing.
This was so fun to watch! I love looking through vintage stores. I live in a town in Virginia named Fredericksburg and our downtown has tons and tons of vintage stores, and they're set up like a little "mall" where individual sellers have "storefronts" ... you would LOVE it! Thanks for sharing this with us Kim! So so fun!
Wow so much has change at Hershey park...of course it's been a long time since I been there... my 10 month old was watch your vacation with me and at times was clasping to music or laughter 😃 Something to look forward to...look like alot of fun. Wow only 18 summers time goes fast. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for bringing us on your trip and spreading the happy around. I know how good it must have been to see family after so long and It really looks like a lot of fun while oma was resting! I really hope you enjoyed every moment. Your whole family is beautiful. Have a great one, Kim! xoxo
Hershey park looks so fun. That clock thing you saw at the antique store was a timecard punch clock. Each employee had a card that they’d put into the slot to “punch” in & out so the company knew how many hours they worked each day….they’d get turned in each week so they’d get paid the number of hours they worked.
Thank you for taking us along on this vacation. My mom, sister, and I are all working this summer so we can't take an actual vacation somewhere this year.
Turkey hill ice cream was a staple in our house growing up and still to this day at my parents!!! Awesome to see you were close to where we are! Hope you enjoyed PA!
so much fun! loved the vid! it is so much fun to visit the theme parks with your children! we live in missouri and we used to go to silver dollar city every year, usually several times a year because of season passes anyway, just keeping up with your kids is admirable, and seeing all the new stuff and going to the shows! anyway! thanks so much for sharing your families experience! xoxo
That antique shop gives me Dutch farmhouse vibes. So many items where I was like “Oh yes so Dutch” and things my oma would have in her home (not farmhouse)…
thank you for sharing your trip with us! love that Alex caught one of us meeting you:) also the deer was beautiful...we see them in our backyard all the time (live in Michigan). if you ever come to Michigan, you have to go to Bronner's...the world's largest Christmas store!!
allthose fun places you went to in pensylvania who knew they all were looking so much fun never saw hershey town before i have seen those cows they are cute and singand the turkey hill looked very fun and dutch town looked so fun you and the kids had lots of fun
I couldn't get over the phones. The phones!!! I wish I still had some of those for my landline. These days the phones for landlines are *all* battery-operated and they go *bust* in a couple years due to the battery no longer wanting to charge right when it's on its holder. If I find a "regular" phone, I jump on it. Don't care if it's a phone with extra big digits for the elderly. If it's not battery operated? It's mine! LOL These "old" phones you had no issues with... I mean for those of us still having a landline. Man, I'd snag them all up. :)
Love Love this video adventure! I grew up outside of Philadelphia and had family from Philly to Johnstown. We traveled the “ Old Lincoln Hwy.” , Route 30 many times. The Pennsylvania Dutch community was where we often spent time. As a child I went to The Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park and Factory. The Factory was actually the tour not at the Park. It is so much fun to watch your family.
So close and yet so far Dutch Wonderland Amish Community is about an hour from me. I love me some Turkey Hill they make the BEST ice Tea and Ice Cream my favorite being Butter Pecan have fun enjoy.
What a fun family video. I loved every minute. All the places and the kids poked Ike they had a blast. Thanks for sharing. You did a fantastic job. I appreciate you and the vlog.
Sweet memories for your kiddos. I can imagine how exhausted you can be. But, pat yourself on the back & shake out your Mom cape bc many choose to send their kids off to camp, not realizing you only get 18 Summers & they could be gone. Enjoy them while they are yours. Blessings. Hope you get some much needed rest too.
Oh Kim, Thank you for taking us along on your vacation. I live in Harrisburg just minutes near all of your destinations. I was at Chocolate World last month with my Great Grandchildren and I haven't been to Hersheypark for over 30 years. I didn't know anything about Turkey Hill Experience. I also forgot about Dutch Wonderland. I told my daughter to find you on RUclips and you can show her all of the things to do near me. Lol.
The week you guys were in Pennsylvania, it was as high as 118°F in the Kootenay mountains of Canada! It was a heat wave on this side of the planet. Craziness! Your whole vacation looked exhausting! I think Meredith may have had too much heat and humidity. Awesome to see those memories made
We have been considering going up to Hershey Park .. tickets are fairly inexpensive. I'm glad you all had a great time! It's certainly more inspiration for us to make our way there.
Such a great day and sure hope you bought the chocolates and other offerings as Reese’s pb bars my fave yum 😋 I love love love this shared vacation you took us on and the adventures always fun, happy, and just love the Wads so always excited to watch the vlogs!,🤗❤️👍👍
It was great Kim to see you and your family having such a wonderful time! Your kids just live spending time with you undivided attention. I’m disabled so I don’t have these times with my 10 y/o be grateful for these wonderful times you are the best momma ever!!
So cute that lady scared the crap out of you saying your name so loud lol !! so nice to meet fans of you what a great video so many adventures and memories to last a life time!! so fun Kim and family maybe one year you can take a road trip there so you can bring more things home

Hey Kim sorry for scaring you but it was definitely nice meeting you in person and your family🥰
Lucky you, Renata, for being able to meet the Wads in person.
Renata, I played that part of the vlog over for my husband. So FUN!!! I'll bet you were just as startled as Kim when you saw her.
That’s awesome. I’m sure it was starling on both sides. For Kim of course & for you noticing someone we watch and adore. I would have been nervous.
Omg I would have been to star struck and crying to introduce myself!! Lol
@@CindyKinney I agree with you I am lucky Wads are very beautiful family
It amazes me how brave Wentworth is for his age!!!
I have a son his age and this boy is scared of his own shadow
Kim this put a lot of happy in my heart. Beautiful from beginning to end. Thank you for the time you spent in including us!
I'm honestly so jealous of this just whole vacation. Props to you for organizing I bet all of your kids will remember this summer in the future.
For their whole lives!!

Ohhh & in the antique store that “clock” is how people used to clock in for work! You slide your time card in & it stamps the time & date!
I remember standing in front of the time clock and staring at it for the last few minutes of my shift. The longest few minutes of my LIFE!!
We used time clocks when I worked at the Post Office.
OMG I worked for the State of Florida just a few years ago and we used them 😂
I still use a timeclock at my work! Granted it's not an antique at my job, it's digital, but they're still in use!
There is a scene in the movie 9to5 (Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda) where they wait in line to use the time clock

Aww Kim... running into all the party people on vacay 🥳😂
I don't know why but I love how easily startled you are 😆😆 Cracks me up every time! 🤣
I died when she screamed 😂
My great Uncle was a Park Ranger, and we had a doe (female baby deer) he rescued and raised on his farm. Her name was “Banjo”. She had the run of his 150 acre farm!!
That's a time clock they used to have one where I worked years and years ago!! Showing my age!
Yes! You would clock in and clock out to keep the time you worked!

Oooohhhh I see CDs! My hubby got me a new Ram 2500 and I asked “where’s the CD player” everyone laughed at me!
Wow, what fun! As a Canadian from Ontario, those huge maskless crowds look like a flash from the past.
