1. Freezer got the buff he needed, now freezer is better tower and people actually use it for hardcore mode.
2. Electroshocker is also good, i admit the thing that he stun on lvl 4 is kinda bad and the fact that he doesn't have hidden detection anymore, but he have flying detection that is also cool when you play hardcore.
3. Rocketeer is kinda forgotten tower but he's a good tower and he have hidden detection on lvl 2 now and it's cheap compared to before when he had on lvl 3 for almost 6k money but he deals good dmg and have pretty big range so the dead zone is not excuse for this tower being bad.
4. Trapper is kinda mid but useful his mines and bear traps can shred tanky enemies like tank, i also used trapper on infernal abyss to get the slayer shotgunner skin, and it worked so good, i placed 7 trappers in the back with bear traps and fallen king literally died with ease.
5. With hunter i can agree, because hunter is mid tower but have better dps than sniper but he is kinda forgotten tower but i still remember when he got reworked on solar eclipse event and people used him on night 3 and i still have this vampire slayer skin, but yea hunter is mid and forgotten. (Geez i never typed that much in my comment before)

Rocketeer just makes you think where to place him, not just spamming him and rely on his range buffed with dj.

The rest of the list is terrible, most of the reasonings for why you thought the tower is bad can apply to other towers that are both statistically worse and serve less important niches compared to most of the towers in the list.

Also yeah there are currently an abundance of hunter fans in this comment section out of nowhere who say hunter is good. No, he is just terrible across the board, the only redeeming factor is his range. They all praise hunter for having fd and they say there are every few "ground" towers who have fd, if they can take their time and check the tower list once, they would realise that militant, ace, engineer and gso exists who does hunter's role better. But then they give excuses like how militant should not have been buffed, ace is not a "ground" tower, engineer is expensive and they even asked what a gso is. When i told them what gso is, they said soldier needs the gold perk to be good. They basically admitted that militant and gso are just better at hunter's role. Normal soldier isn't bad at all as well, he can clear molten way faster when compared to the towers in the rest of his class, allowing you to get coins faster, therefore allowing you to start saving for intermediate towers like militant and ace. He is also pretty decent in fallen early game which hunter already struggles on.
Why waste 300 coins on a bad tower when you can save just 100 more for an actually decent tower?
Ngl the only tower on this list which is suck are hunter.

paintballer used to be so good until it didnt just get hit with a nerf, it got hit with a goddamn nuke

Paintballer back then was supposed to be a demoman but faster and weaker i guess? He didn't even change at all, his stats are the same, his animations are the same, and the only thing he ever got was a default skin change (and i guess green paintballer but that skin buggy a hell)

I actually think Freezer is an amazing tower in some circumstances, and probably the most underrated Tower in the game right now.
Freezer can slow bosses. Bosses. An insanely valuable asset, yes, other Freezing towers are better, but Freezer has the accessibility, every player can get him.
Sometimes, he can replace Commander, let me explain. If your loadout has towers that barely benefit from Commander, like Engineer, Brawler, Merc Base, Accel, etc, then Freezer can benefit much better compared to Commander, there's also a synergy with Brawler where you can permastall almost any enemy with Brawler+Freezer that isn't a boss and Freeze immunity.
I still prefer freezer than sledger ngl

@Brazil0987 it original came from a code, but was added in the shop during the solar eclipse event which was my personal favorite event and is a reason why I never forget hunter, according to WikiaColors, using hunter and crook boss was useful for night 1, also hunter was buffed some time after it came back in the shop

Freezer is really good with ace pilot hidden detection stunning almost everything!
Electro shocker is really good with stuns and flying detection!
Rocketeer is just too underrated! It does amazing damage, has lead detection and hidden detection on lvl 2!
Trapper is op! It is used in many hardcore strategies and it does many damage, has hidden detection and lead detection with it's mines!
Hunter isn't that good since even sniper has more damage compared in max lvl but at least it has more dps. But the main thing it is known for is that it has flying detection and used by many players in night 3 solar eclipse event!
I know paintballer isn't in this list but I feel like paintballer should be in here because of how bad it is even though it is used in PvP by eggrypted when it first came out.
But in conclusion basically all of these towers has their own uses, weaknesses and strength and they are just underrated since many people don't use it and they just deserves more recognition!

@@CarterLam1014Sorry but I meant for example at lucille strat it uses only 2 lvl 1 freezer, a dps and ace pilots and one that is lvl 4 to give hidden detection to kill the mega slow! That just shows how underrated freezer is even at lvl 1! And yep freezer has the hidden detection in lvl 4 and the ability frost grenade :)
@@CollectorBlox i actually tried using ace+sledger instead of freezer, but it worked pretty well just for the slowing, freeze would probably do better a better job in that aspect.

Trapper is used in strategies, freezer is used for solo hc, electro is good for amal and rushers in pw2, and Rocketeer is a replacement for accelerator in NST hc. The comparisons also don't make much sense. Comparing trapper for crook boss makes no sense at all. Sledger and cryo are also event towers and locked out of people who didnt complete the events.
but doesnt hunter bassically deal more dps for not that hugely hike of a price and range 26 for a ground tower is op NO
You see unlike sniper which are immune to stuns, hunter getting stunned gets screwed hard considering it has high range and no substances over other and lets not forget to mention that it is EXTREMELY expensive for a 4 level starter tower like level 3 cost 1.9k which is overpriced as hell level 2 cost 800 which keep in mind is more expensive than archer and level 4 is more expensive than level 3 minigunner for less than half of the dps

Dead zone doesn't really matter you can just place him far enough from path.
When both Mortar and Rocketeer were garbage in 2021, Rocketeer was still worse and basically clown.
Cherry on top, you can find a lot of videos from 2021 about which tower is the worst in tds. Rocketeer is guaranteed to be there.
@handleislol Well, it can be stunned and had dead zone, unlike mortar. But mortar has no hd and you also can't place him everywhere.
@handleislol i can see a case for both,
Rocketeer has better single target dps(the one in the wiki for mortar is wrong), cheaper to max by quite a bit, quite better cost efficiency, higher placement limit, is a ground tower and has hidden detect.
Mortar has better splash damage potential with the clusters and a higher splash radius, higher range, stun immunity and no dead zone.
They are kinda equal in terms of pure stats and 1 on 1 comparison, but i get why most people value mortar more since they like him for the better cc.

So a little bit of fun facts, the Hunter, was actually an exclusive tower where you had to put a limited time code BACK IN 2019/20 before his rework andd back then, the Hunter was actually pretty decent because back then, towers weren't as powerfuls (expect some cases) as they are now, but since his rework, he hasn't got any better or bad, it's just ehh, mid i guess, also the Rocketeer can solo molten but that isn't much of a reward due to CoUgH cOuGh it's a joke CUulgs ciPCiUOUG
also Hunter was a flex to have, not much of a game changed but his stats were not if better than sniper's, he was basically the same popularity as the militant back then, now he's mid like a said
I remember putting in the code and getting hunter and thinking I was cool because all the little kids without twitter were like "HOW DID YOU GET THAT ARE YOU A DEV?????????"
Rocketeer is very useful. Specifically in pvp- it carried me to a 2v1 win (my teammate was afk) by killing all of the sent breakers and bosses nearly instantly with the one-time high damage shot. It's just the best for splash damage.

or you could place this secret tower called mortar. Or minigunner. Or golden minigunner. Or accelerator. Or engineer. Or brawler. Or literally anything else
@CementMixEater, none of the towers you mentioned can stun, detect flying, be used for early, and have strong crowd detection together.
@@laisksjjsjs566 mortar can detect flying and leads and it great for crowds, g mini lvl 2 spam can shred mid game crowds, accelerator is incredibly useful for dps, and has hidden and lead detection, plus can shred both crowds and single high health enemies, engineer can be used for early, has flying, lead, and hidden detection, plus at max lvl it’s war machine sentries do explosions so are good for crowds, and brawler can be used for early, can stun plus knock enemies back, gets lead and hidden detection, and can hit flying enemies with its reposition ability and can offer incredible crowd control with its reposition.

I grew up with my Sibling & Cousins playing Zombies on Cod 1 - 3 & still do play it to this day, but as for content - That's really not going to happen especially when Treyarch's decisions are disintegrating the fanbase

Freezer is good for its lretty decent versatility, like a evergreen version of toxic gunner. But without a minigun.
Electroshocker does do what it is described to do, but the description is outdated, and tbh electroshocker is not bad either
Rocketeer literally got a massive buff and is good now yet you still call it bad. Its not bad, but probably outclassed .
Hunter, is good for a starter tower tbh. And really, the cons you gave him can technically also apply to sniper as hunter is a sniper that dishes out more damage but can get stunned
And trapper... is not that bad but its pretty mid. But you need good setup with it
But this list kinda sucks tbh. The listed towers are more of underrated than bad.

5. Crook boss: i know that begginers will say he is good but he is only good in the mid game which can just be covered by high DPS towers like accel, engine and pursuit and also he is very unreliable
4. Scout (g scout doesn't count): it is a starter tower, ofc i have to place him here
3. Trapper: not recommended for bosses but can be very good if used correctly
2. Hunter: sniper but worse
1. Paintballer: WHERE IS HIS REWORK?????

Elec is better than the freezer. 100% freezer, and all other freeze towers are useless in molten. Also, electo can hit more than a freezer im pretty sure. It also melts defense. Next, the trapper can reach the final wave molten and minigunner cant, and its traps are supper reliable, considering just one trap can handle wave 1 molten. Rocketeer was meant for range dont put it near the path. Then you should be good. it's also so much better than mortar because you can have 8, and it can get hd super early. And putting hunter in there is like comparing an infant to a tiger 1 tank. You might as well put all of the other starter towers in there. Tds content creators make the game look bad.

5. Rocketeer is the best tower in the entire tds, one simple nerf didn’t stop them, it’s just that there is a OP accelerator and rangers, but back then rocketeers were meta always, and i still use rocketeers up to today
4. Hunter is not bad, it’s all about placement, he can be extremely useful on early waves *PLUS* he has air detection which makes him useful for any situation, i used him a lot lately.
3. Freezer is the best stun tower in game, he can freeze everything, he isn’t the worst.

1. I have enforcer as well, and pairs a lot well with commando and the rocketeer, i love this combo
1. frost blaster is far superior for stalling as it has lead and hidden detection, plus it can hit multiple enemies at once
2. Rocketeer is not the best tower in tds. For the high placement cost, you could get 2 lvl 2 mortars instead which would do similar damage, don't have a deadzone, have more range, and don't clog up space for towers that aren't shit.
3. There is literally no point in using hunter when golden soldier and ace pilot exist

Hunter only exists because it used to be a code exclusive tower. It still sucked when it was.

This tower has the exact same issue with mine layer in tdx, why spend money to catch leaks when you can just upgrade defences in the front to not leak. Also military base and crook boss spawns can catch stuff in the back and push their way to the front to support their as well

Freezer is very good at his job, being able to freeze multiple enemies with his grenades and goes crazy on random targetting. He actually has insane potential and for intermediate players, hes really good. "Erm, according to my calculations he's outclassed by Sledger and Cryomancer 🤓👆." Bro Sledger and Cryomancer is an exclusive tower. MATTER OF FACT, ALL THE OTHER FREEZING TOWERS BESIDES FREEZER ARE EXCLUSIVE. OBVIOUSLY THEY'RE GOING TO BE BETTER THAN THE CHEAP ASS INTERMEDIATE TOWER! I can talk about Electroshocker and Rocketeer too, but my lazy ass needs more sleep, so part 2 soon ig.

100% disagreed. Freezer is amazing for solo-hc. Electroshocker is amazing in pizza party especially lost souls (also op when paired with mortar). Rocketeer is amazing for crowd control is just a solid option especially in the regular modes. Trapper is good for leaks and is a great choice for newer players. Hunter is the only tower worth being in this list but is far from the worst tower. This ranking is the result of using nothing but the "meta" and never experimenting with anything else and just skimming over the wiki so you can go "yeah i can throw that in the video" This is closer to "top 5 unused towers" or "top 5 forgotten towers" than "top 5 worst towers" In which world is paintballer, commando, slasher, swarmer, archer and sniper better than rocketeer or electroshocker. I cant imagine how badly a video like this will mess with the heads of newer players.

@@okgoose3305 ok i used both freezer and sledger in separate molten matches, and i admit, sledger is better than i thought, but still worse than freezer, this is because of how expensive sledger is, ur are paying 35K+ for a tower that is heavily reliant on other freezing towers or more sledgers for damage, sure it freezes a good amount but its range is ass.
freezer is cheap (less than 8k to max in total) but stupidly effective tower, its got decent range, good fire rate, ass dps (cause its support tower), great ability. get like 5 freezers or smth and set them to diff targets, and its better than sledger.

Dps cost efficiency is nearly 0, his range is as good as a gladiator if you count deadzone, and after the rebalance his splash became smaller than paintballer post nerf.

Rocketeer does not have more dps than a maxed out minigunner, he only does if splash damage is involved. And even then, any tower with splash damage can reach dps higher than that of the top tiers with enough enemies. And don't even get me started on placement limit and cost efficiency.

Sniper is a starter tower, and i think it is pretty decent for one, hunter is unfortunately between sniper and soldier, but sniper is free and soldier is only slightly more expensive, there isn't really a reason to get hunter.
