I got a standard street tournament set from Yellow Mountain Imports with weighted, magnetic, plastic French Lardy pieces including extra queens and vinyl roll-up notated board with green and white squares to which I added a digital clock from Chess Armory. Then I gradually got my first "dresser" tournament set from Royal Chess Mall India. It's the French Henri Chavet Staunton, Kasparov vs. Karpov set in antiqued and ebonized boxwood with 3.9 inch (98 mm) kings. The board is their printed 21 incher in antiqued boxwood and ebony with 2.2 inch (55 mm) squares. I got the black leatherette coffer box for the pieces and the padded carrying bag for the board. It ran more than $600.00 USD, but it was worth it!!

i found a nice wood set on royal chess mall for around $130. There are some good deals sometimes. I'm not a fan of the german knight.
