The Chaotic SteamRail Glen Waverley Shuttles 2024

Today I went and watched the 2024 SteamRail Victoria Glen Waverley shuttles which ended up being pretty chaotic.
Being hauled by K class locomotives K183 and K190, On the first run to Glen Waverley K183 was making a squealing sound which wasn’t normal. Turns out the air compressor and the injectors were having a lot of issues on that day so the train ended up stalling near the Darling area, this caused major delays for Metro services like for example when I was on my way from Flinders Street to Glen Waverley my train ended up terminating at Darling station and became a Flinders Street service. Later the issues were fixed and K183, K190 and the whole train were on the move again. When the next Metro service to Glen Waverley arrived at Darling everything was fine until when I was on board the train and the driver was blasting the horn a lot, looking outside I saw a lot of people trespassing and standing right next to the railway tracks to watch the steamer. One idiot was sitting on the concrete base of an overhead stanchion that was really really close to the railway tracks. Throughout the whole day many people were trespassing and being blasted by horns, these were all called in to Metrol by the drivers of the trains to report this idiotic behaviour.
Then at Mount Waverley a certain someone’s tripod leg falls off the platform onto the tracks while a train was approaching, luckily there were some AOs there who told the driver to go really slow since there was a chance that the train will run over the tripod but lucky it didn’t. The AOs then got a grab stick from a storage room near the station and grabbed the tripod leg from the tracks.
Due to the issues with K183 the shuttles were delayed by a long time, but other than that it was a fun and chaotic day chasing the shuttles around.

Well done mate. I got a good clip of it going over Blackburn rd bridge heading toward mt Wav. Surprised me how fast it was going
