There is this thing about Ruth Kadiri that I can't explain. She is interesting to watch, the way she speaks, carries herself, laughs, everything about her is interesting to watch. I also love her movies. She interpreters her role so well at all times. Ruth is an amazing actor.
I’m going to be honest with you, I actually don’t know what exactly kept me glued to this movie. But one thing I know for sure is that I watched it without wanting to miss even a single scene. From the first scene to the last, I was completely locked in. I didn’t want to skip anything. And you know what? It was an amazing movie. This is not even the type of storyline you sit there fantasizing about. It’s just one of those movies where you suddenly realize you’ve watched everything without even noticing how time passed. Something about it keeps pulling you in. Maybe it’s the video quality, because damn, this movie is quality. Or maybe it’s the actors and the entire crew. Everyone delivered perfectly. No crumbs left. They ate their roles and even outdid themselves. And honestly, Ruth Kadiri has proven countless times that she is one of the best producers out there. This movie is definitely one of her best works. I loved it. Now to my review. I didn’t even know where to start from. Should I start from the boss? His father? The couple? Or the office colleagues? Let me start with the couple. Their situation is what people call, and I hate to use this phrase -true love never dies. But in this case, it fits. When two people genuinely love each other and they separate because of circumstances, not because the love died, something dangerous happens. Years later, if those feelings were never truly buried, the day they meet again it can reignite like nothing ever ended. That was exactly the situation in this movie. When two people fall in love and never truly fall out of love, separation doesn’t always kill the feelings. Sometimes it only pauses them. And when they meet again, the emotions can come back as if they never left each other. That is why they say true love never dies. And that right there is also why it can be dangerous. So if you are about to start a relationship with someone who just left a relationship, be careful. Make sure they are truly healed. Make sure they are actually done with their ex. If not, you might become the rebound. And mind you, being a rebound is dangerous. You could be with someone for years, and the day they meet their ex again, it’s like magnets pulling them together. Suddenly you become the third person standing there wondering where you belong. In some cases, they reunite and you are left behind as if you never existed. Whether the person is divorced or just coming out of a relationship, before you entangle yourself, make sure they have healed. Now let me talk about the guy’s father. To be honest with you, even after watching the movie, I still don’t understand his reason for doing what he did. Was it just to frustrate the girl? She already left your son because of you. That should have been enough. But no, you had to compensate her. And that is where the twist of this movie becomes beautiful. You tried to frustrate her, but your own father ended up placing her in a position where she could frustrate you even more than you planned for her. And then you started crying? Why didn’t you laugh like before? After all, that was the same pain you wanted to give her. The table turning in this movie was satisfying to watch. But in the end, they still found their way back to each other, and that part was beautiful. Now let me talk about the colleagues in the office; especially that woman. Office gossip is a terrible thing. When you are in a workplace, stop joining people to hate your bosses or judge people whose stories you don’t even know. If someone hasn’t done anything to you personally, sometimes the best thing to do is keep quiet. Stop assuming. Assumptions create unnecessary problems. People build entire narratives in their heads and spread them like facts. Whether in the office, in public spaces, or even in families, sometimes the best thing to do is drink enough water, mind your business, and sleep well at night. Stop gossiping. Stop assuming. It causes more damage than people realize. Now let me come to the cousin. Sometimes in life, you are lucky to have that one family member who sticks with you through everything. Because the truth is, not every family member stands with you in every stage of life. Some family members are as useless as strangers. In fact, some strangers can even be more helpful than family. But this cousin showed loyalty. He stood by him through thick and thin, and I’m glad their bond didn’t break even after everything that happened. That was beautiful to watch. As for the boyfriend, I feel like he was deeply hurt, and that pain turned into bitterness. But even in his bitterness, he still couldn’t completely hate the woman he loved. And that alone says a lot. I don’t even know where to place the core message of this movie because every angle of the story carries its own lesson: love, pain, timing, family, gossip, assumptions, and how life can twist situations in unexpected ways. All I can say is this: The movie is genuinely good. Kudos to the production, the actors, and every member of the crew. You all did an amazing job. I loved it. First, the theme of this movie is so timely. The music is chef’s kiss as always, but this time it really brings out the main points of the story in such a powerful way. Oh my God, Ruth Kadiri, Ruth Kadiri-how many times have I called your name! This movie is another banger and banger 10,000 times over. The actors and actresses-oh my goodness-what an amazing job by everyone involved. And I have to give it up for the design as well: the clothing, the makeup, the shoes, the accessories-everything was put together so beautifully. The scenery was lovely too. It showed Africa in such a natural and authentic way, especially for someone who has never been there before. It felt real and rich with culture. The Bible says the rich rule over the poor, and this movie highlighted that message very well. Many of us have experienced family or friends interfering in our relationships because it is not what they desire for us. But it is so refreshing to see love stand the test of time, remain strong, and even rebound again. That message gives hope. Ruth and the entire team, please take a bow again and again. First, the theme of this movie is so timely. The music is chef’s kiss as always, but this time it really brings out the main points of the story in such a powerful way. Oh my God, Ruth Kadiri, Ruth Kadiri-how many times have I called your name! This movie is another banger and banger 10,000 times over.
The actors and actresses-oh my goodness-what an amazing job by everyone involved. And I have to give it up for the design as well: the clothing, the makeup, the shoes, the accessories-everything was put together so beautifully.
The scenery was lovely too. It showed Africa in such a natural and authentic way, especially for someone who has never been there before. It felt real and rich with culture.
The Bible says the rich rule over the poor, and this movie highlighted that message very well. Many of us have experienced family or friends interfering in our relationships because it is not what they desire for us. But it is so refreshing to see love stand the test of time, remain strong, and even rebound again. That message gives hope.
Ruth and the entire team, please take a bow again and again. I absolutely loved the movie.

It’s been 5 years since I haven’t seen my supposed ex husband and I’m not gonna lie I still miss him till this day and when we got married I was 20 and so young he was 21 at the time and we both made alot of mistakes and we married never ended living together because we was in the separate state so now he has a family of his own and I’m still trying to find happiness and find him in every men that comes my way but I haven’t gotten so lucky yet
