@@RetroTuna sorry buddy 😣, but your a god send. So many mini tunas out there will be inspired to bite the bulliet and taito it up! Thanks to you! Inspiration! 💪
I love your Vewlix F and how you have it setup! I was wondering about the Dreamcast. Does your Seimitsu work with the Brook UFB? I'm using the Brook wingman but it doesn't work through my KMV switch. I set the controls to PS3. Just wanted to know if you use the regular controller or your Seimitsu on the cab! Thanks and great work!
I am using the cabs stick and buttons through the brook for everything, the problem you get with the kvm is that the brook auto sets it’s input say if it’s connector to a ps4 then when you switch it’s still in ps4 mode you need to pull the cable out and put it back in for it to auto set again, and depending on the console you might need to hold some buttons down to assign that console, Saturn you hold weak punch and kick when plugging the usb in bench way I fitted a switch. When I finish work I will check the button combo for Dreamcast and let you know.
Thank you, I was going to buy the Retro board and link the Brook UFB. I would have to buy two because I have 2 Brook UFB 2 player panel. That is too crazy for cable management. I would also have to buy a 2 RJ45 to connect it. I already have two Brook wingman Dreamcast/Saturn adapters. I'll try it and see if that works. I have a Mister FPGA as well and a NUC Ghost Canyon with and Xbox One X . Similar setup as yours. My 6 year old son has taken over my Xbox series X lol. Thanks again for your help. Love that Vewlix!
@@Whashappening Thanks mate yours sounds like a sweet setup as well, with the saturn hold weak punch and kick when you plug it in and i think switch was weak and medium kick. them NUC's do the job in a cab mine has played everything i have thrown at it very happy with it, thanks for the sub as well.
Do you have any tips for adding usbs for controllers. I see some of the links, but I don't quite understand which were used to make the USB ports. And I should double check that will work if I'm trying to run original arcade hardware
Idk, if it's connecting directly to the brooks board. I assume you connect it to the brooks board. I don't know if you have it set to a switch so it goes to the panel by default and a switch for the USB port or if it's all running through the brook
i used this and added it to the panal, you get 2 usb cables on the other end to plug in to say a console or pc, then you can just plug a controler in to the panel. as for original arcade hardware you will be using the control panal on the cab, plus original hardware normaly will use JVS or Fast IO that connects to the control panel.
Dumb question, but how do you plug in the sub board buttons to your brook adapter? The labeling on the brook doesn’t make any sense and I’m not sure where things like the touchpad etc would be mapped to.
Right what you need to do is the playstation setup, so looking at the cab top row of buttons from left to right are going to be button 1,2,3,4 now look on the brook board and run the button to 1p,2p,3p,4p so they go to the same numbers, now do the same with the bottom row button 5,6,7,8 got to 5k,6k,7k,8k. the touch pad, home, l3,r3 are going to be new buttons and you will have to mod one of the panels to fit them. turbo button will be extra as well if needed and you can add a ltaching button to select DP mode or LS mode super handy at times that is. Quick note 1P stands for punch one or weak punch so think street fighter and 1K stands for kick one or weak kick hope that helps.
I'm looking to add a volume adjust/potentiometer to my F cabinet. Would I be able to keep my existing amp? My current setup is a taito type x3 with stock speakers and amp. I have a subpanel with a space for the potentiometer and everything, just don't know how to wire it up. Would you mind sharing where you found the guide to do this mod? I haven't had any luck searching forums.
hello, yes you use the cabs amp, what you do is audio come out of the type x to to the volume pot then from the pot to the cabs amp you then turn the cab s amp up near full and use the new volume pot to adjust the volume. there is no guides but its pretty simple, you need to buy theses www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133558196511 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384702505501 and 2 of theses www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181864517028?hash=item2a57f84da4:g:MUoAAOSwfW9iwprE&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwCJX2kBugX33s%2FYq%2FOR%2Bu%2Fb4huwEh59xIbN4RB1x4rQNfmebinNk85O2ViGmWKSbZyNpt73ARK6S9sxzLsjjXaMMnNDo1p1JvGSaY4zsOSmr7U93AhgNNUFTVDzLI2xo9xJqR86284coBcsanN78rxH11PIElfkSh6VEyBcNws6Q7HDGJXPRwuzvNLW4J5GfL9zLLc1k55ZiucWYG5GF6qJ4mJlZmlfJqiRr73nArJVC6Xp8osOjNPO7fjCvA3JRQw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9TpktzaYQ you then cut the female end off and solder the speaker + and - leads to the board that the pot has and twist the both ground leads together and solder them to the ground on the board do that for both sides. dont cheap out on the volume pot as you run into issues i has were if wont tuen the volume right off hope that helps
@@michaelsaffron364 if you get stuck gibe me a shout, one other thing you will need to do if cut the volume stork down a bit so the volume know fits flush a small hacksaw will do that easy
