I remember when I first got into FGO 2 years ago during the pandemic and watching the Skadi servant analysis and then a month later seeing Castoria drop into JP and thinking, wow, I dunno if I'm gonna make it another 2 years. Well, seeing this now, I'm really glad I did (though my wallet not so much)

It's crazy how it's been almost 2 years since her release on JP, she still feels fresh and new.. she definitely aged better than Skadi.
it’s crazy because skadi was actually really used up until she came out and it just actually completely vanished.
Now even with castoria, there’s more options even with buster teams but it still doesn’t matter, she still shines.
@@Xernitory because the buster and quick options are very limited and have MANY limited servants that never got another banner
Mainly because Skadi was more towards what Quick supports and that was critting. Because of that the NP refund of the attacker had to be good to make use of her battery by themselves. Artoria fixes that NP gain problem herself sadly lol
about the CE recomendations, I can say The one who desires Salvation is probably her best in slot CE, since is a 3 times (4 at MLB) two stages Overcharge increase buff
For long battles yeah, it's a great one. For minturning i'd prefer Golden captures the carp, since it not only offers 20 crit stars, but allows Castoria to use her NP since turn 1.

Kinda surprised you didn't mention One Who Wishes for Salvation in the CE section. Getting a level 3 charge on her NP for the first three times she uses it is beastly for challenge content.
In JP i use the that CE with a Muramasa Alter, it increases arts damage + 2 stages of overcharge one time. It's a good alternative to One Who Wishes for Salvation since it's actually a 4 star

I know when she came out on JP, I rolled for her because she was meta. Now though, LB6 really made her grow on me and that's why I'm gonna roll for her.
Now like with all artorias, chaldeas food supply is in even more danger lol they have shounen protagonists levels of appetites lol

This is honestly kinda a special moment for me, because I got into FGO around the time the 5th anniversary was happening on JP and it all began with the Castoria reveal.
I thought that since it was 2 years away that there was no way I would still be playing by the time she came to the NA server since I would've either dropped the game or gotten bored and moved on, but here we are (now if I manage to get her, then it would be the cherry on top...)
I wish to remind everyone that she doesn't "replace" Tamamo, they work extremely well with each other to an absolutely gamebreaking degree, any 3rd slot that's also Arts focused just rides on their horse for maximum absurdity.
Which is why I’m not removing Tama from my caster slot even if I get castoria.
@@shiranui4512 Neither am I, granted most people probably went for her if they already had Waver, but these two are extremely cheesy in CQs together, the value they offer to each other is pretty disgusting.
2 Castorias with Tamamo is like playing the game on rookie difficulty. I would prefer to switch in Tamamo instead of switch out so I can actually stack NP overcharge on Castoria that will be given extra invincibility.

I've been using Double Castoria + Tamamo to help my Melt looping everything. That NP Strength Up and even more Arts Up really helps.
Just to add: it's not the end of the world if you can't get Castoria since you can use your friends' (well, most of the time) while you may still have alternatives adding to your farming; but if you want to draw her out, remember to do it the first time you can. Once LB6 arrives you WILL break from pulling for all the LB6 cast.
Adding to the team composition: not long after Castoria hits the ground, it'll be Himiko at the new GudaGuda event. Try combine both girls and Merlin/Tamamo.
I'll still try to roll for her a bit, but probably gonna go all out once violet evergarden alter hits NA
yeah, i was able to get the full LB6 cast (except the susman), but only because i had the full power of a newly created account + the goodies of the anniversary so i had a ton of SQ (basically every free SQ, including those from free quests).

While Castoria is VERY MUCH meta defining and is one of the cutest saberfaces I've ever seen, I also love her because her NP theme is just so freaking good! Like it just oozes pure positivity and triumph and I have no shame in saying that I listen to it quite a bit because it's just that beautiful (like her)

For those who are low on quartz and ticket, Castoria will come back on 25M DL as she is currently rerun in JP so you have 2 years of saving to guarantee her. And don't worry if you miss her, just a support Castoria is enough for looping unlike Skadi. I have played in JP for 2 years, with Paracelsus + Waver and support Castoria comp, I can easily clear up to 90 node by np 1 Summer Musashi + starting np ce.
I have to mention that 6 anniversary will be another game changing support and required to use double for looping, and that servant imo is worth to have more than Castoria for looping 90+ node. Anyway, good luck on your rolls.
Just to add to this, on the second LB6 Banner Castoria gets another rate-up.
Its close to 6th anny and LB6 part 3 banner so its a bit riskier, but theres the option too about a year from now!

After witnessing the MEGA meta shift in JP, I am really excited to her release in NA.
The only drawback I think with Castoria is having an influx of Friend requests if you have a Castoria in your support list.

Just played yesterday and i can see that already. Currently have 43 sq which is not bad yet. Gonna save for castoria as a f2p its gonna be hard to resist the banner if not planned.

took me two years to get her on my main account in JP and let me just say that she was worth all the saving, farming free quests, and malding from spooks on her banners. waver's bond 14 wasn't in vain and now he gets some much needed rest! hopefully everyone reading this gets to summon her on NA's 5th anni. if you don't get her though, do remember that it's not going to be the end of the world. depending on your damage dealers and supports, you can still make do with friend support castoria.

Got Castoria yesterday, with 60 SQ and a lot of luck. Got spooked by Altera too (i started JP version yesterday too, so I'm incredibly happy rn!)

Since I got Voyager, my next target is Castoria and Muramasa~ So far saved 544 SQs ✨
The funny thing about Castoria is that while you could maybe say her damage kinda sucks, with all her buffs she's actually capable of going toe to toe with a boss if she has to.
And honestly that looping in the background is absolutely insane. An NP1 Muramasa without even running black grail or having his third skill maxed out manages to clear the wave pretty handily. That's absolutely insane and maybe might mean I can finally wave clear without needing to constantly borrow my friend's NP5 Arjuna Alter just to clear the last wave of a farming node.

Fingers crossed I can get her. Been saving up for a year and a half now, and even though luck with SSRs is generally piss poor, it's also weirdly skewed towards OP supports (the only non-GSSR, non-SSR Ticket 5 stars I have are Merlin, Tam, Waver, and Skadi, lol) so I think I have a pretty good shot.
What's your sq count at I'm @433 trying to grind up to 500+ by the time she comes out.

Great video as always. Your servant guides and tips in figuring out which skills level up have always been helpful, especially for these new servant coming into the NA servers.
With that being said, I'm curious as to why I haven't seen a spotlight video for Kijyo Koyo (AKA everyone's favorite Dino) yet. Will her video be out yet?

I’ll be ready to take my best shot. Have a good number of arts servants to pair up with her. So will have to see what happens. Be fun having my NP5 Summer Melt rolling over enemies or just letting my max level Kuro loop like crazy over individual enemies.
But will have to see if I’ve got some luck. Will have quartz saved, but we don’t have any pity yet.

As a JP and NA veteran player I say this to all younger masters: roll for her if you can. If you can't get her, aim for Muramasa on New year's eve and use her as support. They're a match made in Heaven

I’ve been saving my Bride of White Roses Command Code for her. While she has one of the greatest forms of team defense in the game, adding even a small heal that she can provide truly makes your team broken. Unless your full on going the unkillable Castoria, Merlin, and (Himiko, Morgan, Reines) route.
Just wait until Morgan then you can remove both Reines and Himiko. Morgan's NP Overcharge on both Merlin and Castoria plus Morgan's NP dmg. Heal everything, take no dmg, deal dmg instead.
Victory by endurance… even Anakin skywalk we get tossed by that one
Love her so much just for not only enabling me to go nuts on almost all the arts servants I have, but a year later when LB6 arrives for EN, you'll really love her as a character too!
She also has nice hats (crown for 3rd) in all her ascensions. I'm really fond of the floopy one in her 1st one. :>
I haven't played FGO for a long while, but I am hoping to return with Castoria's release. Hoping that the SQ and tickets I've saved/gather during hiatus will be enough.
There she is. Our King of Arts is soon to grace us with her presence! Castoria is the one Servant of 2022 that I will pay actual money for to try getting her if I have to. I literally saved up all the Ascension, Skill, and QP materials I'll need to Lvl 90 10/10/10 her immediately if luck is on my side.

I didn’t really have a reason to roll for her other than meta but ever since reading LB6 and loving her character It’s just a give to roll especially since I don’t need her beyond NP1
I’m no longer maidenless and was blessed with an NP2 Castoria despite depleting a total of 567 SQ.

I feel bad got her on 90 sq and for free at that I just signed in and got sq and said fuck it why not. I think I used all my luck tho cause I also got 3 other Sr servants in just 2 of those rolls. Smh

then the last 10 tickets arrived, i waited until davinki was out, rolled for her and got her. i think it was the 8th or 9th ticket that did the trick.

We know she is good. And somehow gets better with append charge giving her basically 80 charge turn one and 100 turn two on arts chain which adds to the flexibility of her np being used.
Cq wise an overcharge ce like Kiara or amakusa ce will grant you a lot of shields for battle.
Only negatives is no healing or def up which isn't a problem with Merlin Tamamo or Jeanne which is why arts is the most flexible type in the game.
But mostly will be used to make my space Ishtar goddess of Farming.

Everyone pretty much already knows how broken she is but it's still amusing to watch about why.
I find her a waifu roll as well because I just really like Seiba
I think the actual anniversary campaign gives us about 140 more SQ in the form of fragments, plus a bunch of tickets
Castoria does NOT invalidate Tamamo. If anything, pairing them together just makes them even stronger. Tamamo really enables longer battles, especially with the Cooldown Reduction and spammable NP Charge on her NP, plus the Drain with NP Buff to stack. To say nothing of Double Castoria + Plugsuit shenanigans
It's kind of like how Skadi and Merlin benefit a lot in longer fights by having Osakabehime around to cover what they lack and improve team defense and damage sustainability
The people who say Tamamo gets invalidates forgot that Jeanne exist
Tamamo Castoria are my staple for one on one battle… Normally folks got one shot not that surviving for long help them out. I am aiming for Vald to complete my brain dead team.
Art looper… I believe Summer Kiara left too much to be desired. Original Kiara would do a much better job
10/10 as a newer play you're servant spotlights help me grasp well servants. One of the biggest issues I've found is information that can be digested by new players even beginner guides seem to lack this detail normally I have to watch quite a few videos to grab tidbits of information or read like 5 guides to get same effect, however so far with you're videos I've watched I'd gotten more useful information then anything else sorry for sounding redundant but Thank you for making Digestible Videos for new players its really helps. 👍

My normal farm team is 2 Merlins and Saber Artoria. So I'm looking forward to fitting in Castoria into my team. I got lucky rolling for her though, because I'd been saving up the single summon tickets and saint quarts as well. I had 50 tickets and almost 500 free sq saved up and I managed to roll 2 copies of Castoria.
It’s interesting to see the meta of FGO change over the years, Buster with Merlin, Quick with Skadi, now with Castoria and Arts.
Then, Tamamo Vitch comes along to help out Buster.
I’ll try to get Castoria when she shows up, but Summer 4 and 5 are around the corner, so I’m gonna prioritize them first.
Summer 5 should be after anniv, I believe
Please gacha gods, give us the strength to save our sq until Castoria is released…keep us safe from the spooks and make the salt go away.. Bless our rolls…

Also you missed the most important part of her skill, the aoe 30% battery which is the highest aoe battery in the game and what makes her a better waver
Previously we used to stagger waver's targeted+aoe charges but he falls short at 20% aoe charge which gives some annoying restrictions for the average f2p player's farming team
But castoria blows him totally out of the water (to say nothing of 2x castoria team comps)
According to my simple calculations, I should have ~1000 SQ for Castoria. Hopefully I'll get her. Probably gonna run her on Devilish Boddhistva with NPcharge, HP, strip/cleanse CCs. Probably gonna go for NP append over lvls. Looking forward to trying her out with Sieg, Kiara, and Tamamo (and Merlin if I'm able to get him this time).
A very exciting time, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Update: I tried to summon for Merlin. It was a disaster. 110 summons (150SQ and 60 tickets), I got NP6 Siegfried, Beowulf, Heracles, 1 MLB 5* and 2 MLB 4* artifacts, plus a few more non rate up 5 and 4 star artifacts. No Merlin.
After this incident it looks like I'll still be able to get around 300 summons for castoria if I finish all available story/free/interlude quests I have, but it's not looking so great.
I will continue using any tickets I get until the end of the banner on Merlin. This is two years in a row now. Please send help.
Update to the update: I ended up doing three more multis and got Merlin on the last summon.
Think I can finally set my Bond 13 Skadi down and tell her 'good job, you did good, now back into your pokeball!' and go hunt for my Castoria.
She's a make or break servant for me, really. Efficiency is what I value over everything. I've sworn to myself that I either get her, or I walk away from the game forever. I've got some money set aside and I do have a decent stash of quartz, so this isn't a hail marry shot by any means. But she's so game defining that I refuse to keep playing without her.

@@Min0waman 273 sq =1 SSR based on the info the game gives. Also I think 1 out of 5 SSRs will be a non rate-up SSR, statistically.
Anyone NOT saving & rolling for a Castoria is out of their mind! Arts will stomp out Quick the day she is released. Skadi better enjoy her last month or two on top. Won't be for much longer. xD
Quick servants and art servants are different ,not sure how Castoria beats Skadi when supporting quick servants.

Now saving for Morgan since I do have bad luck with 5-star zerks that were only broken recently during the summer re-run when Summer Musashi showed up. All those Raikou pulls whenever she's on a rate-up man....

Castoria is like a better Waver in my opinion where she doesn't have the same problem with Skadi who is solely a Quick Support and her NP is useless before the buff. Additionally, Castoria might be Arts buffer but her 3rd Skill can be use for other purposes but she is generally OP in art comps. The fact that you can put Castoria in any team like Waver is what makes her very OP even without being Arts Meta buffer and her NP is really good.

Congrats to everyone who got castoria! I also got her but it wasn't without heavy losses, 300+ sq and 40 tix, to me she is well worth the resources spent! Both gameplay and waifu collection wise

I'm Very Late in commenting on this Video, but better late than never, lol. Anyway, Castoria is without a doubt the Servant I wanted the Most this year in NA (Outside of any Grail Targets that I'm looking for this year of course.), and I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY that I have her, but not only do I have her, but I actually got blessed to have her at NP 3!!! O.O I honestly Rolled as hard for her as I did for 1 Important Reason: Arts is my Favorite Card Type in FGO so getting FGO's Best Arts Support Servant and getting as many copies as possible is A MUST for me!!!! ^_^ And honestly, she Literally is able to help ANY ARTS Farming Servant, as long as they have 3 or more Hits on their NP; I tested most of the Arts AOE Servants in the game and almost all of them can Farm Very Well with her, and 1 that caught my eye at how good they COULD of been as a Farming Servant is Summer Nitocris Assassin!!! I tried her out again during Summer 5 in NA, and I was Shocked at how Great Summer Nitocris' NP Gain was with Double Castoria, considering she could Loop Effortlessly!!!! HOWEVER, I did say COULD of been a Great Farming Servant.... All because of the fact that Summer Nitocris has Insta-Kill on her NP that TRIGGERS BEFORE DAMAGE, she is effectively a Gamble when it comes to Farming with Castoria, which is so sad cause I saw how Amazing her Looping Potential really is and I would Love to use Summer Nitocris more often... So yeah, FGO JP, I have 1 thing to say to you: Buff Summer Nitocris' NP to make the Insta-Kill Trigger AFTER DAMAGE; do this 1 thing and Summer Nitocris can join the Ranks of 1 of the Best Arts Farming Servants to use with Double Castoria!!! This Needs to happen, and I'll be hoping that it does. So, Extremely Long Story short (Sorry for the long Comment btw, Sober Oni): Castoria is AMAZING!!!! ^_^

I'm gonna roll for her, but I'll keep my Merlin as support, because I feel like they are gonna be over a million of Castoria in support (and also I'd like to keep her lvl 90 and save up some grail for levels 120 while still keeping my full lvl 100 support list)

I can vouch for Castoria being able to fit in any team. Prior to getting Skadi in JP, I used Castoria and support Skadi for my Douman. He still wrecked stuff, even if he was a bit underleveled skill wise.
I am prepared to whale for her. I wasn't a huge fan when she released, but now I have seen the light. coincidentally, she's my favorite version of a certain king.

Been saving for this since she dropped in JP. Fortunately, I managed to save an overly healthy amount of summons while also being able to get most of everything I wanted save for King Protein (refuse to call her anything else)

Got my Castoria in one of my most insane rolls ever. I've gotten spooked by Astraea and Xiang Yu (!) just to be pleased with Castoria's card. She's already doing her work together with my Tamamo NP2 ❤

I might seriously fail at pulling her. SQs are ludicrously expensive over here and I think I'll have just around 120 at most when her banner comes up.
Weird team setup to recommend is Edison where after his new buff in JP makes him an incredible support and his Overcharge buff is useful when used on Castoria's NP so she can make her have her super invincibility have more hits being it's only weakness being buff removal unless you already have one in your account.

So the biggest question now is WHEN the 5th Anniversary will come out. Excluding Requiem Collab we only have 3 more events until Anni, but if it is released early then we might not get Ooku Rerun before Castoria, and it's gonna hurt because the event provides 48SQ
Our anniversary is always during Anime Expo which is from July 1st to the 4th so it’ll happen during those days

OH GOD IS IT TIME?
I want to share a pretty fun team that I saw once before on JP when Guda 5 came out and we get Himiko. Pair her with Castoria and Merlin and you create a team that is incredibly hard to kill outside of buff purging. Himiko over charges every NP by 2 on her own NP, follow up with Merlin for 400% and Castoria for 500% to get 5 hits of solemn defense for 3 turns. And before those turns are up you can charge everyone’s NP again and repeat the process. Even if some damage sticks, spamming merlin will keep you healthy while you maintain your defenses. I hope I can manage to get Castoria and Himiko because I want to try that team for myself to see exactly how powerful it is.
I'm rolling on CCC tonight for Melt, Lip, and KP. Anything left/gotten from Anni will be for Castoria. Hopefully I'll get her cheaply, because I need to roll for Kama and Kiara on Ooku and Summer Illya, Kiara, and Abby.
I've already planned ahead and have budgeted 80$ quartz packs all the up to her release once per paycheck I'm gonna be extra ready for her.

I think two CEs you should have mentioned for CQs are "One Who Wishes for Salvation" and "Devilish Bodhisttva". Both of these increase the over charge of her NP, with grants more invul from her NP. One just increases the over charge more while the other gives starting NP. I think these two are excellent CEs for Castoria
