I grew up in Maryhill not lived there in about 15 years now but occasionally drive through it to remember the good and bad times. That area you walked about is fairly nice I grew up in a scheme area so I definitely got the bad end of the stick growing up but wouldn't change it for the world. Thanks for sharing the video all the best mate.
great vlog mate welcome to maryhill :) . that is my brothers lassie my wee lovely neice cheryl that you were talking to in the pub. shes is a busy lassie shes a mother of 2 a full time nurse and works in the pub i wish i had her energy.
I stay in maryhill never had any issues there is some characters but it’s just like any other areas it depends what your looking for and how you act but it’s a decent place to live
I don't know the area, but drove out after a gig to see 'Osprey Heights' at Collina Street -- just looked on Google Maps and you were so close! If you'd just carried on along the main road from the Nag's Head, pass William Hill and keep going past the red stone buildings, you come to the canal locks from Still Game and the one remaining tower is there!
theres more going on further down the road Eddy... the main shopping area etc and the wyndford estste wher i lived for many years in the high flats way at the back. i spend my childhood in ruchill and stayed just a few mins walk from the Gimlet pub where they used to use it as the clansman in stil game !!
Celtic Street 📍 Top class Eddy Rams head looks like a good Celtic bar 🍺🍀👌🏽😉 Your a wee bit along the road from the main /busiest bit of Maryhill mate 🧐
Love your energy Eddie. My granny used to live in Maryhill. I've been there many times as a child visiting my gran. There used to be a lovely ice cream parlour in Maryhill where she used to take me.
@Eddy Cheese , OMG Eddy you are in Craiglang , I live around the corner from where you parked your car . Osprey Heights , The cafe , the housing department etc was just a 5 minute walk away . The street you went down the side of the nursery school has a still game location at the end of the street , There's a community centre/cafe called Ledgowan hall this is where jack & victor were dancing after taking american drugs . Maybe the next time your in the area i'll show you around . i'll maybe send you an email .
That part of Maryhill isn't too bad. It's more the areas to the north that have the bad reputation. Most places in Glasgow are no where near as bad as they used to be though. Most of the slum areas got knocked down in the 1990s and 2000s. If you'd walked down the main road you'd have got to the canal and locks which is quite nice for a wee walk.
You need to come up to Inverness Eddie the scenery on the way up is breathtaking and it’s a lot less populated than Glasgow maybe only 70,000 people live here I’m originally from Glasgow moved up here 30 years ago and love it up here you should visit sometime. Keep the videos coming love your content and energy as well. Ps did you get a haggis supper from a chippy yet ???
I was born in Anderson Crief Court moved to the Gorbals Nicholson Street then to Sringburn Keppochill Road then to Doncater Street Maryill then to tho 705 Maryill Road not far from the old HLI pub then to Maryhill Burnbank Teracce then to Maryhill Kilmun Street got married moved about Maryhill then left 15 years ago to ive in a rural part of Scotland. and I wont be going back any time soon. Large city's are not family friendly.
cmon eddy dont leave us hanging like that 8:15 u look over at glasgow tyres ryt behind those buildings in the distance is the famous still game flat surely ur gona walk 10 mins more doon the road in the next video hahah 😝
do you realise how close you were to the area they used to film graiglang from still game, if you had walked another 300 yds you would have seen the block of flats they lived in in the series
I think most Scots for decades voted Labour or Tory or the SNP all my family did that's why I left Glasgow its a socialist cesspit the city is great most cities are its the people that live in them that ruin them as for Glasgow city council don't start me on that the west end was great but now its being ruined like the rest of Glasgow.
Same script as the posso and Springburn videos, sound guy but he's clearly done his homework and parked his car miles away fae the barracks or the gilschy etc. But again, fair play, if you're sound here people will be sound with you. But although he was technically in maryhill, he was miles away fae the schemes as there's fk aw up the tap end. But even if he did go down the wyndford etc folk would lap him up because he seems as cool as. Gaun yersel eddy mo charra
@@Eddycheeee I'm there too. Anniesland Cross used to be pretty lively but they keep closing things. Not even a pub any more. You might like Partick and they have some great wall murals.
You will never experience what a bad area is Eddy as your "aura" of niceness is an infectious shield. Your Ned proof mate
i'm not even a minute Eddy, just love your energy mate, welcome back to your adopted country boss!
Thank you 🤩🤩
I think you keep bringing the sun to Scotland

Maryhill voted overwhelmingly to be ruled by Sir Keir Starmer and the Westminster based Labour Party.
A sad day for Glasgow.

I’ll sort it out 🥳

Next time, step into the main part at McDonald's. An absolute shitehole of an area.
Moan the maryhill
These videos are unrepresentative because we only see the ones where you lived to tell the tale.
I agree he should be careful but no need for comments framed like that. Glasgow is as friendly as most cities, perhaps even one of the friendliest.
Poverty tourism 😅😂
Eddy 8..17 if you look in distance you will see still game flats
