The good thing about living abroad in a peaceful low populated village is that you can scream & play drums like a total maniac & no one is gonna complain.
The downside might be that the local villagers probably made up some tale they will tell future generations, how a ancient troll could be heard screeching on cold & heavy autumn days after the church bell tower chimed 69 times or something.

I was following along fine until 8:50 and that’s where you lost me💀 seems like a very sudden progression to go from that whispery falsetto to a full blown scream, I just can’t grasp that part

That is the part that takes lots and lots of PRACTICE! It is the hardest part! You are not gonna get it in one day unless you are very talented/intuitive. It will take weeks or even months because you have to TRAIN yourself to feel that spot, lock it in, and push. One fry screaming tutorial is not going to magically make you a pro screamer. You have to PRACTICE the stuff I talk about at 14:30. It is like drumming or guitar or drawing or literally any type of skill! It requires practice, effort, and time!

@@HungryLights yo thanks for the reply man I wasn’t expecting one😅 I’ll stick with it and see how it goes. I think I’ve been guilty of the false fry you touched on. Just curious, you’ve said there’s some bad advice out there but is there any other vocalists on yt with solid advice/approaches you’d approve of? Curious what you’d think of Chris Liepe’s videos for example, it’s hard to learn when everyone teaches their own ways

As a fellow professional rock vocalist who sang opera in college and currently learning how to scream from a bandmate/friend who is also a scream vocalist, I found this video extremely helpful and very descriptive because although this was my first time trying to scream, the technique helped and I feel I have a good base to start off of now! Thank you for this!!! Please do more of these! Do you by chance have a tut on how to do a growl?

This is the greatest tutorial/instructional video on metal vocals on RUclips. Thorough processes and how to do each step, concise recap on what to do so you don’t feel overwhelmed by all the information. And kept it even more entertaining with editing and humor. Subscribed and I am definitely buying the $20 course on Patreon. More than deserved. Thanks for everything you are doing for the metal community and aspiring vocalists, brother. 🤘🏼
