i use this technique every time i buy a coconut - typical keralite style - learnt from my father (family secret!) So the thing for me is that I do it at my own level, I will not trust the shopkeeper's attendant who would do his 'job' but if the shopkeeper himself did a selection i will trust his decision.
But despite this, yes, I am unable to find a connect with people though I do care for people, I am unable to trust them.
