I played this version in my car every day to & from work for 2-1/2 weeks and I was in tears the whole time Vander sang it better this show in '05 than he did when he was 30 years younger. The "triple solos" (because Vander and Bussonnet were ripping the whole time behind the keyboard/guitar leads) were also the best
Magma should be included in the hall of modern classical composers. They are unique in the whole galaxy. I d´n~t know if one day we´ll have the translation. Until there I´ll keep imagining they are saying exactly what I want to hear

I met magma when I was in my 16th, and today I am am closer to 62, but Magma decided to be creative in music from the beginning whatever is the $/€ revenue outcome. While most of business musicians decided to get the other way. Like mainy painters, Magma will not be recognized among the best while they are alive, but only after they die !
That voice has an infinite depth, the Kobaians are giving to Vander the key of a unknow language coming from the other part of the univers: the power of vibrations that can cure everything !

And if I were to create a language with a phonological system significally different from my native language's phonology, it would take a long time for me to fully adopt it, just like learning a natural language (f.e., trilling "r", as in Kobaïan, Spanish or Russian, usually is a problem for English speakers, and probably for Francophones too)

My first ever gig was Magma Glasgow 1973 as a 15yrs old.
Saw them on their 50th anniversary 2019 for my 60th😊
