It was such a happy moment to meet you on the streets! I think I did tell you, but whilst walking around that day I did think about the possibility of running in to you. So I am delighted to have been able to take part in your project of connecting all our interests of music, books and films (since we did talk quite a bit about films afterwards ;) ). Keep up these great videos and maybe I will be able to share some other inspirational works of art with you again. For now I will probably start reading L’Usage Du Monde. And for context: I was the person that just read Dune.
That man who's read Dune and talked about how you just don't understand it at all the first time. I AM TOTALLY WITH YOU!! It's kinda hard to grasp at first, but you get by once you've gotten to know about every character.
love the book recommendations, but also, sometimes i have to rewind because i get lost just staring at Amsterdam architecture, it's so beautiful!!! :')
For anyone who hasn't watched Dune yet, you don't need to read the book first! It's pretty long and I know that can be intimidating, so don't feel like you need to read it before enjoying the movie. It's a great movie on its own, even if you don't understand the nuances. If you're intrigued by the story and the world, THEN go check out the books, there's more to explore!
It used to be much nicer! I grew up there in the 80's and saw the city change so fast in the last 20 years. It has become a very expensive city with no affordable housing anymore. Chasing away young families and a lot of middle class to cheaper areas nearby the city or even further
