Yeah i cant lie, im lost in the lyrics too lmao. Mark seems to be very introspective and plays a lot with words and meaning so it probably makes sense once you have all the context but i feel like only Mark has context for some of this. Thanks for your honesty as usual, its refreshing! As to Mark's musical style, every single he's released is extremely different from the last, i genuinely dont know what to expect from his album but im so excited. His first solo was called Child and it's probably my favorite from him so far. It was so Mark i feel like thats gonna be the vibe
I feel like even in the hardest, deepest rappers there’s not really lines that you can’t understand unless you’re the person writing them. I think my best comparison is GD but that's Korean lines, so for Mark it feels a bit different to me. I think it’s dope to make music for yourself in that way, it's your art at the EOD. Lines can be broken down and deciphered and of course they can have double, triple, and onward meanings and wordplay and whatnot some of these lyrics just didn’t give that to me first listen since that's generally my main focus. There was a comment that broke down their interpretation and it makes sense but they really extrapolated something from nothing. Kudos to them cause even Kendrick Lamar’s lines make sense as he says em you may just not know exactly what he’s referring to haha. This is his prerelease before his debut, his full length album was supposed to come out in February 2025 but they postponed it till april.
