Just a small update - this particular TVR W995 AFR appears to have also been used in promo shots for magazines of the era. But it's ultimate fate is still a bit of a mystery.
Yeah, it was definitley a press car as it was used in some other promo shoots. And my best guess is that it was shipped overseas not long after. Edit to say: thanks for your comment mate, and great work with your channel. And never forget the bus stop baguette. May it rest in pieces 😂
Yes that's pretty much what happens. You can buy private plates but as far as i know it's only like a 'redirect' on a website. So people sometimes keep a private plate and just move it to a new vehicle when they sell a car and it reverts back to the original reg number. I guess the logical explanation is that this TVR was registered in the UK and probably eventually shipped overseas before it was due a first MOT.
@TPL-Motorsport hey, thanks for your comment. I would love for it to return but my wingman Mike has retired somewhat from content creation. If I could find a substitute co-host with the same passion for gaming and rally, then sure it could return like a phoenix!

This is the sort of hyper obscure Dreamcast related content i live for. You're doing gods work Tom, keep it up!
Haha thanks man - this comment confirms I am not simply wasting my life/time on this nonsense 😂
Interesting video Tom.
Cheers mate
My guess is it was probably only ever used as a showroom car

In the UK does a number plate get issued when a car is first sold and stay with the car through all owners the whole life of the car?

Hi Tom. Will the Power Drifting podcast ever return?
