    Hi Rob 👋 huge fan just shy, so first time commenting. If you are looking for a good gel moisturizer Versed Dew Point is beautiful. So light weight, glides on the skin, great under spf and make up. I know you reviewed Versed awhile ago, but I recommend this for summer time.
    My break up product was Clean & Clear deep action exfoliating scrub. For years it helped so much with my acne and oiliness, but I’ve got broken blood vessels on my cheeks because of it. Toxic relationship for sure (also so bad for the environment!). Because of you I went to the Oat Cleansing balm and fell in love! Shocked this balm was on your list, but totally understand. I’ll be cheeky with Inkey Oat while you two are on a break lol ☺️

      @@dianaf6333 I have combo skin. Oily T zone and very dry cheeks. Dew Point works for both. Sometimes I put another layer on my cheeks in the morning if I need a little more hydration. It has squalane and jojoba seed oil so still very moisturizing for a gel.

    Thank gawd I broke up with the idea of roasting in the sun with (takes long, deep breath...) BABY OIL on my skin. Omg - having a tan was everything to me in my youth 😬. so you're in the vampire clan also? I'm even more pale than Casper 😹. I've only ever had a proper full body tan twice. once when I went to St. Tropez, Cannes and Monaco and once when i went to tenerife. but now I avoid the sun like the plague. i don't go anywhere without a parasol if the sun is out. it's a nightmare trying to find a foundation that's my shade. with pretty much *EVERY* foundation brand I have to buy the lightest shade and mix white into it 🙈

    Love this video! My skin care break up is more with a process than with a specific item. I’ve broken up with products/steps/etc. that take too much time or effort. It’s not that I’m lazy, but I would get things that took forever to soak into the skin or work in and then I just ended up not incorporating them into my routine regularly and letting lots of nice products go to waste. Now I am more realistic with myself about what I actually have time for, what I actually enjoy doing, and what I will stick with consistently. Xxx

      @@deebee9120 I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that korean skincare has *MASSIVELY* changed my skin. I've suffered severe acne since I was 12 (I'm 34 now) nothing ever worked for me and tried every product aimed at acne prone skin etc going. from the cheap stuff to the expensive alongside numerous prescription products and medications and non of it worked. I first switched over to LUSH which changed my skin just a little bit for the better. it made the biggest change was my approach to skincare. it made me realise that *gentle* was the way to go and that all those acne products were far too harsh and were making things massively worse. then in comes korean skincare to my love 2 years ago (thanks mostly to hyram and james welsh) and oh boy!!!! my skin has changed exponentially for the better in the past 18 months. I'm dumb struck at how much it has changed and never thought in a million years that being gentle and using gentle products would do anything for my skin never mind making a massive difference. I still get hormonal breakouts, usually around my period and that's pretty much it. i know a lot of people would look at me and think I'm delusional for thinking that i have good skin but i recognise that perfection doesn't exist! okay, I'll never get rid of my scarring (although they have improved in appearance) and once a month I look like I walked into a bee's nest but you can't tell me my skin doesn't look good! I just wish I had found korean skincare sooner as I know I wouldn't have those scars. Although korean skincare doesn't stop me picking which is also made worse by anxiety andnot just the urge most people have to squeeze spots. but cosrx pimple patches are amazing at reducing that picking. have to shout out the ordinary and inkeylist though as I do use a few of their products too.

    I just checked out Face Theory and took their quiz, I know you have talked about it so much. I'm still contemplating but I must admit I still love TO moisturizer. Mind you, I may say something quite different when the warmer weather arrives. I can't wait to finish my bottle of TO Glycolic Acid, my skin will only tolerate it once a week. I'm way too thrifty to toss it out. Then I have a bottle of TO Lactic Acid 10 % which needs to be finished up too . . . By the time that happens summer will be over. Hyaluronic acid makes my skin kinda dry too! I've always been a little confused by that since people would always say its soooo good for hydrating the skin! I broke up with the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence sunscreen after an 8 year relationship. I loved them and they were so trustworthy... but their alcohol dried me out. Nowadays, I keep hearing about how trustworthy and good their SPF level is, and I miss the good old days... but whenever I revisit them, their strong alcohol and fragrance immediately reminds me why we broke up.

    My little break up story was with nip and fab. I asked an esthetician for advise on my worsening skin. Long story short, I was vigorously scrubbing my face daily with the glycolic face scrub (as per advise I might add) and applying the extreme glycolic fix toner afterwards for months. Never again! I am now left with broken capillaries and am finally starting to fix all the irritation caused.

    • @LittleMissBettyPage
      @LittleMissBettyPage 3 года назад

      I bought the mario badescu one just to try and I can honestly say I've only reached for it once or twice and really wasn't impressed. it just left my spots dry and scabby and last even longer than if I hadn't used it. so i definitely won't be purchasing that again. nor will I be passing it on to anyone. when I have a product that is a good product but just doesn't work for me I'll pass it on to one of my cousins that I know it will probably work for. but I'm not passing on anything that's rubbish, so the mario badescu drying lotion will be collecting dust in my skincare drawer. one of the spot treatments I have been using that isn't a drying lotion is *"some by mi AHA BHA PHA 14 days super miracle spot all kill cream"* (gotta love the super long names on some korean skincare products 😹) obviously doesn't get rid of a spot super quickly but I find the cica that is contained really helps to take down the swelling and pain somewhat.

      Welcome, Aly! I swear I have pseudo-PTSD from my Clean & Clear days. There was a time that I swam in that astringent. I used it for *everything* -- to take off makeup, to "cleanse," to get rid of every single molecule of oil on my formerly greaseball face, to dry the absolute hell out of every single blemish. And every single day I wondered why my skin was so horrible. But thankfully, as we age, we grow, and we expand our knowledge and discover our self-worth. Many breakups are difficult or traumatizing, but cutting that toxic sludge out of my life is honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I have very dry skin not hydrating enough for me, comparable to Blithe. Price for a 1.69 oz / 48 g. in Canada is 14.95. So far none of the e.l.f. moisturizes have worked for me.

    Thanks for sharing. 💕 I was wondering which products you’re letting go. I finished the CeraVe Vit C serum. It’s has encapsulated ascorbic acid. I’m now using BeautyRx Triple Vit C serum which has tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, methylsilanol and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. I find the latter to be non-irritating and I can layer better wit other actives.

    Thanks, Rob, for making these kinds of videos. So many times, I will watch an influencer talk about a product, then never hear about it again. So I am left wondering, "Are they still using it? Or have they replaced it?" I know this will make your jaw drop, but I have had to stop using argireline. I know, I know... crazy huh? But, I kept developing texture on my forehead, which was the only place I have lines and needed the argireline. I only used a few drops, so I know I didn't overdo it. This is the second time I've tried it with the same results. I had the same reaction to the Buffet. The SubQ skin is on its way, so I am hoping that my skin will not react to this product!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!😊❤️

I still love it but it no longer works for me :) I now use the oat cleansing balm and the salicylic acid cleanser because it's non drying and prevents these pesky maskne spots :) I also used to love gel moisturizer but now I prefer something richer like the ordinary moisturising factors, the weleda skin food or the vitaskin vitamin c moisturizer in rich.
