this was awesome, you will need the gutters, and a spot for shade for the birds, it's the reason they all were in one side, maybe an umbrella for now to help them have a place to retreat to when it's hot.

Thank you! Half of the run is covered with corrugated metal. Since filming, we have covered the other half with shade cloth. Heat index has gotten up to 117° here. It's hot!!!

I just spent $550 on materials on a smaller coop and pen/run area. It ain't cheap to build one that's for sure.

looks awesome, just clearing the space to build a coop and run. I will have to follow the directions to a tee, my first build

What plywood and thickness did you go with on the walls and boxes. I just finished building the floor of my 8x6 and finding this video was perfect timing.

Hi, can you tell me what tool you were using to cut the siding to shape once you had it screwed in place on the coop?

The door to the nesting box should be in the front not on top Opening the lid like that scares the crap out of them because of flying predators

Yes, there is some low background music. At the end, I talk about it a little. I'm sorry some of you can't hear. I'm going to look into why that is.

Mine are even more spoiled. We turned a small attached shed that the previous owners of the house used for stray cat shelters (???) and now our chickens have ac, power and heat. It's saved our pullets during an abysmally hot and humid year (105 with 80% humidity).
