Am inspired with Owen's story! Lynn, when I was a 13yrs old, I was married with a man who was beating me like a donkey 💔 good neighbors rescued me from his hand. letter my brother in-law introduce me to his friend when I was 16yrs that man ruined my mental health so much! He was sleeping with another woman Infront of me💔 Am thanking God for giving me a man who accepted my damaged heart and body we have 10yrs in marriage 🙏! The doctor damaged my womb, am not able to have a child unless I get surgery but we don't have money for my treatment. My husband helped me to adopt a child, now am a mother and am so grateful adoption process was tough but by God's grace we managed to finish the process 🙏! If marriage is not working plz don't die God is a God of many chances! Dear Lynn I really wish and paying to God that one day you will host my family I really miss to thank my husband in your show 🙏 may God continue to bless you and protect your life from all dangers 🙏Owen you are a strong man may God protect you too❤️

My ex-husband bashed my name and character after our divorce. He never took responsibility for his part. His family hates me and he doesn’t get it. His one sister who I love dearly never stopped talking to me. She understands that every marriage has it’s problems. He even slandered me on his job and to any one that we knew. I would never consider being with him again. I would never bashed his name.
God knows my heart and what happened to us.
You are a true man of wisdom and respect.🇺🇸

Same happened to me and i used to care but not anymore, our friends and family judged me for what they heard from him,i was never in a position to speak my mind to anyone,i went far away from him,it doesn't hurt anymore,i moved on,we have kids together but if he ever wants to see them it is his responsibility not mine and of course he knows where to find them even without reaching me because i ending the relationship both physically, emotionally and spiritually,i know nothing about him.,am at peace with my heart i forgave myself and i forgave him too,but i don't want to ever see him again,we can be good and not talk to eachother and not see eachother and i speak blessings in his marriage if he has one or will ever marry.i have no hard feelings towards him ,God restored all that i lost those years and doubled them🙏

Work on your happiness and the kids if any. 3 years ago on this date, l was in floods of tears because of someone who should have been my rock. Today, l accomplished a milestone in my new journey. Won’t God do it. Light at the end of the tunnel is now here for me. All my hope and trust is in God.

Should we talk about how African men want women to remain down and it took other men from other nations dominating our men for our women to have a chance? We got so oppressed by white people then now African men knew how it felt. But lets not pretend that African men haven’t used their power to force women into: FGM, marriages, and deprived them of education. Are the men in Samburu not men? Ama they don’t count? Daddy Owen....there is life after divorce. My reverend once told me, " Never let the things in this world make you miss out on heavenly things". At one time you are married, next thing you are single, either by default or design. I do not advocate for divorce BUT if God knows for sure you were innocent and you wanted your marriage to work, or you made a mistake in the marriage BUT repented genuinely, then wait for God to do wonders in your life. Let God have his way in your life, fix you eyes unto Jesus. Keep praising and singing, do not pity yourself let God pity you

Another part is when a woman is liberated and earns more money then a man, it makes a man feel like he not worth anything. As a man he feels like he should be on top. As it's said a man is the head of the household...

Divorce has been glamorized. It has been made to look so "easy" but Myles Munroe said it the best "Divorce is worse than death..." Reason being that it has no closure. I am not trying to throw shade to individuals who have gone divorce, every one has their story...but kindly understand the emotional import and turmoil that it has on the 2 people and their kids if any. And for those who read things that are not there, I am not asking anyone to stay in marriage for children! Please reread my comment.

The fact that most people don't end up with the people they dated first shows that relationships ending is normal. The ring does not change that fact. Another great, far ranging, insightful interview. Just to note that abuse is not just physical - psychological abuse might not leave physical scars but it can have serious and even tragic consequences. This is a necessary conversation and I look forward to a time when Kenyan men don’t feel the need to ‘handle’ women but take advantage of the benefits that accrue from intentional collaboration and partnership between two like minded people who share a dream. Especially when that person is a woman who is your friend and confidant.

Wao! Big up daddy Owen, these are the kind of talks we want to sit & listen to. Your stand as a gospel artist & the choice of remaining positive in the "storms".....& yes, marriage needs prior planning, all the same, life must go on regardless!! Women are a powerful force, men aught to be wise, they can fall for it or can be build up by the same force!
