I grew up in one of those little Southern Shoutin' Baptist Churches, we all called each other Brother and Sister, and those Quarterly Singings with Dinner on the Ground were somethin' else !!!
I will never forget "Homecoming" in the Southern Baptist Church. I was Pianist by age 12, and for many years, at 2 different Churches. On Homecoming, some Soloists had their own accompaniment, and others didn't. Some of those songs, I had never heard nor played, and had to site-read
Don't stop singing these old songs at your church. Too many churches have left these songs behind and its very sad.
I grew up in the Church of God, we used to have singing like this choir. Unfortunately, not now.

i grew up in the church of the nazarene, this is that that great singing we used to have. in muncie ind sad the church has changed so much that it is not a church i could go to any more. very sad.

Notice when they come back in after the acapella section. Dead on pitch. That is solid. I grew up on this music, there is none better.
Looking forward to next spring, when I can come to your next Red Book singing. I love these old wonderful parts singing hymns. I remember being around churches years ago and hearing this kind of singing and it thrilled me then like I am hope yall do this next spring. Halllelujah!!!
I have been watching your old videos for the past hour. WHAT AN ANOINTED CHOIR AND MUSICIANS. Reminds me of the way the Church of God USED TO SING, but sadly not now. PLEASE DON'T EVER STOP YOUR WONDERFUL ANOINTED SINGING
I used to be a member of the Church of God. Cleveland Tennessee organization. You are absolutely correct. No more choir singing like this. This is the singing I always will love.

I remember when the Church of God used to sing these songs. God bless Holy Ghost singing.
I really enjoy this style of music. Nothing in today's time compares to these Old Gospel Classics. This music has power in them and still to this day out you hear these songs it will minister to you. These songs have power that brings encouragement, Joy, Uplifting you and brightens up the day boosting your faith in the Almighty one!

YESSS!! The HOLY GHOST is all over y'alls choir. Took me back to New Hope Baptist Church in Salisbury NC back in the late 80s, early 90s... Thank you for still singing the old-time way!!

Yes, praise the Lord! These old songs touch the heart, and clearly represent God's Word! We need to discard about 99% of the new ones, where the words OR the music does NOT touch the heart!
@@EKKADIDDLEHOPPER And I STILL dislike it as much as I ever did. There is nothing like songs like these. When they are singing most of the contemporary ones they are just wasting their breath. It does not touch my heart. I hope I have not hardened my heart, but when I hear the old songs and the messages they convey, I am touched, blessed, convicted, etc.

Oh me ...Oh me...I had a breathing issue and had to stay home and I missed the April 6 singing. My heart is broken. I wanted to go so much. Maybe I can get a video of the singing. Does anybody know if they made one?
