When yall were SILENT I just knew it was going well lol. It's so interesting to be able to hear comments like this from people with yk knowledge on the matter as it allows me to appreciate songs I've been enjoying in a new manner. I have obviously watched many cactus reactions in my time and each fresh perspective is so cool, but I especially enjoy your detailed commentry that allows me to somewhat understand what you mean and where you're coming from. Usually you find people who do have knowledge dont really explain lol but just say technical terms or implied meanings and stuff and my dumbarse like haha cool...I mean not that I blame them when talking about subjects you expertise in sometimes you forget others dont hold the same level of knowledge. Anywayssss love going on tangents for no reason. Peyton you mentioned it was hella fast (even as someone who can barely walk straight, forget dance, I could tell) which is why I am sure you will be impressed with their 2x version of cactus and be able to appreciate it for what it is much more than I am able to. Also, on another note, at some point a.c.e slightly altered catus' choreography to put less strain on chan's knee (as he has issues with it) so dont be thrown off if you see it in performances. As for Anna, there are vocals coming your way soon with other title tracks so look forward to that. Although, I have to say I do think their vocals are better showcased in some of their b-sides and covers - I dont know if you guys have any plans to react to them but if not, in your spare time their someone you loved by Lewis capaldi cover will remain superior. I actually was so surprised when Peyton practically explained the meaning of the song from just reading the dance. You were super close to the lyric's meaning. On point even. 😆 So happy to know you both found it interesting though. 😊 Cactus is heavily dance centered and being a hardstyle edm song, not a lot of people are familiar with this genre. Haha, me included but from what I've heard over the years from those who have listened to it, "either you love it or don't." Fun fact, there's a song in one of their b-sides in their discogrophy that was supposed to be their debut song instead of Cactus. I forgot which one but I think it'd be interesting for you both to guess which one hahaha. A.C.E is one of the most unique groups i have ever encountered. Their music has a very wide variety from hardstyle to ballads. A song that shows their vocals is 5tar and I highly recommend watching some covers like 'how you like that' 'someone you loved' and 'Youngblood'. Most of those covers went viral but people still sleep on them sadly. I'm really excited for this series and maybe you could check out some of their covers or even other contents as they really display their full talent.

since you’re able to talk about their choreo it would be super fun to react to their proper dance practices and then afterwards the dance practice part change vers. it’s a fun way to see how good dancers they are and also seeing their personalities
I'll have to check out the part change versions, but I always watch the dance practice right after we film the MV reactions so that I can make more informed dance comments. We just don't react to them because I am (somehow) even more quiet while watching dance practices and Anna can't really comment on them -peyton

I recommend watching their dance practice on your own time, their 2x speed dance challenge for this song, and their relay dance. It's insane how in sync they are. Also, I think this was a great choice for their debut because it really set them apart from other groups. No one had done hardstyle EDM before so they were the first to introduce that genre to kpop and as a result, it's become a very unique "A.C.E" sound that everyone can identify. They have a song called Do It Like Me that was going to be their debut song, but I think Cactus was the better choice because, as I said, it uniquely set them apart from other groups.
ooh we definitely watch their dance practices after reacting~ Peyton actually always watches them before making any comments just to be sure she's saying the right thing since the MV usually doesn't show it all, but we're both super intrigued by the 2x video so we're definitely going to watch it after we finish comments because its hard to imagine something faster than this that's a great point! this song is a great debut song because it makes them stick out for having a different sound and if they stuck with it (which it sounds from comments like they did to an extent?) then that's even better because it becomes their sound! very smart!!
I must have been sleeping when this video came out as I missed it. One thing I find funny is how you're both constantly trying to reassure your audience that you know what you're talking about. Anybody who actually listens to what you have to say, should clearly be able to tell that you know your stuff. Your level of technical knowledge and analytical skills are really impressive. There have been many times when one of you has brought up a point that has been ignored, or gone unseen by the vast majority of other kpop reactors. Sorry for the rant 😅 Btw, don't worry about the silence, sometimes you just have to lose yourself in the music. Also, I don't know if anybody mentioned this already, but this type of EDM is called Hardstyle. It's one of my favourite genres of music and I really hope A.C.E will someday return back to this style of music, even just a bside. It's funny how I grew up in the UK, but my love for Hardstyle and Industrial Metal expose my Western European roots. I love your guys' comments! It's so thorough! Sure, I love reactors who just get hype and give a few honest first impression comments. But you two put thought and analysis in your comments, and I really appreciate that! I'm neither singer or dancer so it's educational. Their next comeback is Callin'. Warning: As much as I love them, this video in particular really should have a epilepsy warning, it's at the level of Into the Spider-verse in terms of bright and fast SFX. So keep that in mind. And you should probably watch the dance performance video version right after; the actual MV is more visual focused and the choreo parts are sparse in it. Director Kang was in an experimental phase lol (he edited all their older videos on his own). Callin' is one of my favourite choreos from them to date tho! To Anna: A.C.E has gained a lot of notoriety for some of their covers the past 2 yrs. I recommend checking out their Youngblood or Empty Space covers to get an idea of the vocal sound and style of all 5 of them. But Chan, Jun, and Donghun did an AMZING cover of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved! It has 7.5 million views rn, more views their early comeback MVs, that makes me a little sad but their vocals are definitely very beautiful!

1/10 not enough shorts Jk, jk, this song is an absolute bop. I agree with Anna that the music is pretty distracting from the vocals, but it also feels structured so that the best is the focal point, which is interesting, especially for a debut song. I don't know A.C.E. well enough yet to know if this is the case, but based on this song they seem to be a very performance-heavy group so maybe their debut was just meant to highlight their dancing abilities without having to worry as much about vocals on stage. But yeah, it's weird but I don't really mind it. This is one of my favorite workout songs because the beat makes me feel so energized. This was one of the two A.C.E. songs I was in any way familiar with going in so I'm excited to see what else they have in store!

since you’re able to talk about their choreo it would be super fun to react to their proper dance practices and then afterwards the dance practice part change vers. it’s a fun way to see how good dancers they are and also seeing their personalities
I'll have to check out the part change versions, but I always watch the dance practice right after we film the MV reactions so that I can make more informed dance comments. We just don't react to them because I am (somehow) even more quiet while watching dance practices and Anna can't really comment on them -peyton

I recommend watching their dance practice on your own time, their 2x speed dance challenge for this song, and their relay dance. It's insane how in sync they are.
Also, I think this was a great choice for their debut because it really set them apart from other groups. No one had done hardstyle EDM before so they were the first to introduce that genre to kpop and as a result, it's become a very unique "A.C.E" sound that everyone can identify. They have a song called Do It Like Me that was going to be their debut song, but I think Cactus was the better choice because, as I said, it uniquely set them apart from other groups.

that's a great point! this song is a great debut song because it makes them stick out for having a different sound and if they stuck with it (which it sounds from comments like they did to an extent?) then that's even better because it becomes their sound! very smart!!
I must have been sleeping when this video came out as I missed it. One thing I find funny is how you're both constantly trying to reassure your audience that you know what you're talking about. Anybody who actually listens to what you have to say, should clearly be able to tell that you know your stuff. Your level of technical knowledge and analytical skills are really impressive. There have been many times when one of you has brought up a point that has been ignored, or gone unseen by the vast majority of other kpop reactors. Sorry for the rant 😅
Btw, don't worry about the silence, sometimes you just have to lose yourself in the music.
Also, I don't know if anybody mentioned this already, but this type of EDM is called Hardstyle. It's one of my favourite genres of music and I really hope A.C.E will someday return back to this style of music, even just a bside. It's funny how I grew up in the UK, but my love for Hardstyle and Industrial Metal expose my Western European roots.

I love your guys' comments! It's so thorough! Sure, I love reactors who just get hype and give a few honest first impression comments. But you two put thought and analysis in your comments, and I really appreciate that! I'm neither singer or dancer so it's educational.
Their next comeback is Callin'. Warning: As much as I love them, this video in particular really should have a epilepsy warning, it's at the level of Into the Spider-verse in terms of bright and fast SFX. So keep that in mind.
And you should probably watch the dance performance video version right after; the actual MV is more visual focused and the choreo parts are sparse in it. Director Kang was in an experimental phase lol (he edited all their older videos on his own). Callin' is one of my favourite choreos from them to date tho!
To Anna: A.C.E has gained a lot of notoriety for some of their covers the past 2 yrs. I recommend checking out their Youngblood or Empty Space covers to get an idea of the vocal sound and style of all 5 of them. But Chan, Jun, and Donghun did an AMZING cover of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved! It has 7.5 million views rn, more views their early comeback MVs, that makes me a little sad but their vocals are definitely very beautiful!

Jk, jk, this song is an absolute bop. I agree with Anna that the music is pretty distracting from the vocals, but it also feels structured so that the best is the focal point, which is interesting, especially for a debut song. I don't know A.C.E. well enough yet to know if this is the case, but based on this song they seem to be a very performance-heavy group so maybe their debut was just meant to highlight their dancing abilities without having to worry as much about vocals on stage. But yeah, it's weird but I don't really mind it. This is one of my favorite workout songs because the beat makes me feel so energized.
This was one of the two A.C.E. songs I was in any way familiar with going in so I'm excited to see what else they have in store!
