President Clinton Playing the Saxophone

Enjoy a compilation of clips containing President William Jefferson Clinton playing the saxophone. The clips are primarily from events in 1993 and 1994, including the President's impromptu performance at the Reduta Jazz Club in Prague.
Some inquiries the archival staff have received over the years regarding the President's love for music includes:
Q - Do you have any video selections of the President in the music room of the White House?
A - For those that do not know during the Clinton administration the President has a small music studio in the White House to practice the saxophone. The room is known as the Music Room, located on the third floor of the White House on the East side of Center Hall, and overlooks the Promenade. The room was previously a bedroom for Jack Ford, President Ford's son, and was also used as a sit & play room previously. The room had additional sound proofing added while being converted to the music room.
Unfortunately the White House television unit did not film any video of the President practicing, however photographers of the White House photograph Office did document the President in the Music Room periodically.
Q - Do you have any of the President's saxophones?
A - Yes. The museum archives at the Clinton Presidential Library has a collection of saxophones that were donated by various individuals to the President. Many are on display in the museum's permanent exhibits on the third floor of the Clinton Presidential Library.
Q - Do you have the Arsenio Hall performance?
A - Then-Governor Clinton's performance on the Arsenio Hall show is often cited as a pivotal moment in Clinton's campaign, which resonated with youth voters. The Arsenio Hall Show performance occurred prior to Clinton becoming President, meaning that material does not fall under the scope of Presidential records and was originally produced by Paramount Domestic Television. Paramount retains all rights for that particular program's use.
