This is seemingly out of character, but, there are a few things Mustand does that seem strange for a CEO -Saving Julia from being scrapped by Syuen -Turning ill fated girls into Nikke super-stars -For some reason, giving support to Anis -Go out of way so that his Nikkes succeed, even if it means calling you so often My own theory is that Mustang had a wife, who was a super star, but she was turned into a Nikke and died in the battlefield. So he made his life's mission to show that Nikkes could be more than tools of war. Mary being targeted by him likely implies his former wife was turned into a Nikke against her will.
That sounds like a very plausible theory. A very good one. I bet the face he hides underneath all that glitz and glamour is something only truly reserved for when you really anger him. Cause that flamboyant persona? That might be the mask he has had to wear for a long time.
I believe it already mentioned that Mustang is a former member of Central Government probably a Deputy Chief or higher, because he made that All Muscle Deputy Chief bend he mentioned about his former position. He probably step down to execute his own justice behind the scene.

He's the odd one among the CEOs: Leading TETRA for over a century, but not aiming to make the most powerful Nikkes, instead, he lets his Nikke work disguised as humans. And he will go the extra mile to ensure their mental health. He's way too caring for seemingly no reason, so, if we take the clues, he must know what is feels to see a super star denyed of her future.
Fallen angel is truly an apt description for Mary. A medic abandoning their principles ending with a literal fall. Remembering her wrongdoings for all eternity and being around pepper 24/7 is a very fitting punishment.
The switch between Mary being alone in an empty hospital room to her praying in a burning room is a nice touch I hope we see more transitions like that in more songs of yours to come. Great song as always bro!🤙🔥

I'm oblivious to a lot of things sometimes, so I'm always shocked when someone reminds me of the horrors in the world and the horrors about Nikke. I really need to pay attention to the advice scenes better. Great song, by the way.

Fun fact, every major injury the commander has ever received in the main campaign is to his stomach lol. On a more serious note I was expecting a dark theme for Mary but this was even darker than what I expected. I kinda wanna draw parallels btwn this and the Rapunzel theme u did. I like the echo effects with the music for the interlude. It gives a more melancholy feel which I love. The piano works best to draw in the sadness. Love it. Great song as usual. You know seeing now that line "my punishment to never forget" makes me remember how Cecil on Eden mentions on why the NYMPH sometimes makes people memories wonky or totally gone or unnafected and why should they trust it and I'm always like... It DOESNT? Mustang is VERY clear that he forces full memory on her and total memory loss on Pepper so she forgets what Mary did.
The entire lore around NYMPH is so inconsistent. You're right, ShiftUp has contradicted the "rules" around it multiple times, especially with Mary's story.

Mary was selling peoples brains for nikke donations and turning the dead or dying into nikke. pepper murders her by pushing her down the stairs, pepper gets mind wiped and Mary becomes a nikke, the ark central gov civil servants who were in cahoots' with Mary wanted revenge apparently and tried to blow her nad the evidence up, the commander saves her and mustang sends D after the civil servants. The commander and Mary keep the secret of what happened from pepper. For anything else. its on RUclips.

Eventually Pepper found out, and in a moment of anger pushed Mary down the stairs, killing her. Mustang then turned Mary into Nikke but had her keep her memories as punishment for the crimes she did. Pepper eventually died too and became a Nikke, but doesn't remember what Mary did. In Mary's bond story, someone is blackmailing her with the records she forged when she was alive. The Commander helps her cover it up, and she calls him "Mr. Accomplice".
