He grew up in a strict household. His father, Kotaro Shimura, forbade his sister, Hana, and him from talking about heroes, especially their grandmother, Nana Shimura, who was the current wielder of One For All at the time. Tomura Shigaraki's journey in My Hero Academia shows how neglect and abuse can leave a child vulnerable enough to be molded into a true villain. His trauma filled past tells a story of deep, unhealed family wounds. Resigned to his fate, Touya decided to embrace his "death", allowing himself to be reborn with a new purpose, rechristening himself as Dabi. ------------------------------------------------ *DABI'S REVENGE.* - Dabi became a villain to enact revenge on his father, and his main goal is to make Endeavor suffer and take away his pride and joy, Shoto. ------------------------------------------------- *DABI'S QUIRK* - Fire abilities Dabi has fire-based abilities, similar to his father's Quirk, Hellflame, but his fire is blue in color because it burns much ------------------------------------------------- *TOGA'S BACKSTORY* Himiko Toga was born as the eldest daughter of the Toga family. When she was a child, likely due to her Quirk, Transform, Himiko showcased a rather disturbing and morbid interest in blood. She once brought a dead, bloodied bird to her parents and cheerfully asked them if it was "pretty", which in turn scarred and disturbed them. They accused her of killing the bird, drinking its blood, and smiling about it, but Himiko cries saying she found it on the ground in the yard. Disgusted with her erratic behavior, her parents tried to suppress it from a young age by putting immense pressure on her to be "normal", sending her to Quirk counselling for her to be reformed and attempt to resolve her "deviant behavior". ------------------------------------------------- *SHOTO'S BACKSTORY* When Shoto was a child, he was subjugated to harsh physical training by Endeavor, who would beat Shoto up brutally to make him stronger. His mother was also abused by her husband, which resulted of her poured boiling hot water on the left side of his face after she snapped, causing a scar on the left of his face. -------------------------------------------------- *URARAKA'S BACKSTORY* Ochaco's parents are her main drive to becoming a hero, and she desires, above all else, to earn money to give them a comfortable life. She is brazenly honest about her priorities and doesn't hide her pursuit of heroism being in large part due to money, despite her embarrassment over admitting so. Ochaco's father told her that the way to make him and her mother happy would be for her to achieve her own dreams. She decided to become a Pro Hero to help people and make enough money to give her parents a comfortable life. -------------------------------------------------- *IZUKU'S BACKSTORY* Izuku was born without any unique superpower, or "Quirk", to call his own unlike his parents and 80% of the world's population. Despite this setback, he grew up with aspirations to be a hero in his own right and began to idolize the superhero All Might. Izuku was bullied by his classmates, including Katsuki Bakugo, Also known as "Kacchan" who gave him the nickname "Deku". "Deku" is a homophone of the Japanese word 木偶, which means "useless person" or "good for nothing. ------------------------------------------------- *HAWKS BACKSTORY.* Hawks, Also known as Keigo Takami experienced a traumatic and abusive childhood, being forced to stay home at all times in order to ensure he didn't rat his father out. At some point in the past, his mother decided to take him outside after he kept insisting and purchased an Endeavor doll for him. He wasn't born because his parents loved each other. Instead, his mother was just helping to cover his father's tracks since he was a wanted murderer. Hawks was forced to stay inside for most of his childhood and couldn't talk to others, lest he accidentally expose his father. ------------------------------------------------ *KATSUKI'S BACKSTORY.* Katsuki and Izuku Midoriya were childhood friends who grew up in the same neighborhood. Katsuki was confident, energetic, and had natural talents, which led his friends to look up to him. However, he also bullied Izuku, giving him the nickname "Deku" which means "useless" Once Katsuki developed his Quirk, his aggressive tendencies transformed into heinous bullying. He was constantly praised for his powerful Quirk and other talents. As a result of this, he developed a twisted superiority complex as a young child.
