We've seen Flinch + Poison before w/ base Plumeria, but I've always felt it was kinda counterintuitive b/c foes don't take any poison dot if you prevent them from moving.
I guess the slightly higher-than-average Atk stat is mainly for his Sync attack. Idk if it'll let him solo some LA stages or w/e, but I can see a few similarities w/ Kabu (buffing profiles, two kinds of dot, Impervious at 3/5, etc.), so that's kinda cool. I still kinda like Kabu more, though, but maybe that's just b/c I like Kabu's extra teamwide damage enhancements a bit more than Atticus's extra teamwide damage reductions, idk.

I'm so excited to pull for him! I've really wanted a good poison support to use with Geeta. And he is my favorite Team Star member after Penny. He sounds so fun!

Are status sync pairs worth investing in? I feel like every time the strong computer boosts has like lessen status 9 that makes things like poison/burn/confusion to not do much

It really depends. Status is mostly used to deactivate enemy gimmicks or activate multipliers, except for modes like LG or DC (Paralysis only basically) where it's actually helpful.
