Can’t stand to see your Dad struggle. Been a fan since ‘88, so I was 5. 😂 I remember sitting between 1 and 2 at the Square as he kicked ass in the 76 Barker Bus machine. Best of luck for the rest of 2020!

Massive amount of work.....I agree those who have not raced have no idea. Coming from asphalt late model years ago what strikes me with you dirt guys is the CONSTANT car cleaning....typically in mud holes and I frankly cannot believe these tracks cannot offer some better wash facilities...it is dirt for goodness sakes!! Billy, you are an inspiration and keep on racing it is keeping you young even though it may not feel like it!! Mandee great work this week!!! ❤️

Not sure of the family line but I believe it'd be your Daddy that used to race at my home track, Big Diamond Speedway, in the 80/90's. The hometown guys hated it because when Billy the Kid showed up they had to be on their A game. Thank you for bringing the world of racing to my living room.
It was really great to watch your dad race despite the fact that he struggled. I really enjoyed getting to talk to you mandee,love the videos and looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings. When I lived in Delaware, 2/3 mile south of the Georgetown Speedway, the first sign of spring was/were not the robins or tulips...it was the sound of rac'n engines warming up and doing hot laps at the track. Thanks for the video Mandi...just the thought warms me up like a warm summer breeze off Rehoboth Bay. Spent most of winter here in Maryland (rather than Maine) ...a stone's throw from the N/S Mason-Dixon Line. Georgetown is opening up soon (thanks to Brett Deyo).
However just a few weeks ago attended the AARN Indoor Car Race weekend at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City NJ. . .Jersey Shore great in the winter ! Andy Jankowiak drove a perfect race....Erick Rudolph got caught up in a wreck early on but it was fun watching him thread his way through the pack...I mean amazing!! Indoor Dirt race in Trenton NJ this coming weekend...can't wait.
OK, I need HELP! I have a 4-cyl race car (full roll cage) that won features at Unity Speedway (asphalt, where Ricky Craven cut his rac'n teeth)...run by Lance Chapman years ago. I want to set it up for dirt. I would like to run at Georgetown. During recent race weekends at Georgetown they have a class of 4-cyl's. Can someone provide me a contact in order to run this car there? I need someone to set it up, teach me about tires...give driving pointers...maybe rent time on the track....

Thanks for all the updates (good or bad) this week. When I was there on Thursday, wanted to say hello, but you were busier than a 1 arm wallpaper hanger at the time. Your Dad is such a class-act. His determination is amazing!! Was interested when he mentioned that the track had put down some new clay. heard several people mention that they had changed the surface. Thought it was my imagination, but the track surface looked different. It was really more bumpy than usual. When you can see it that visually from the stands, must have been violent in the car. Anyway, safe voyage back to Jersey. Take care!

Good news no wrecks no blown engines your dad is sore and tired but will feel better in about three days every one is leaving the track tired but healthy get home safe and sound and go again .

I crewed for Gil Bruss in the late 80s. Gary Iulg was driver.....before him was Stevie Paine.....was frienda with the Johnson brothers Bob McCready......was about the time Hearn was becoming a big name......good times.

David Gravel has done a semi-regular WoO Sprint Car vlog in the past. It appears that he may not be chasing WoO points this season though. Anyway, I find that he tries to provide his viewers with insight into the back story of running the WoO schedule.

I would have gladly brought my extra bag of protein, over to the track. If I would have known you didn’t have any.

In 1991 first week exploded transmission 2 ND week exploded rearend gear 3 Rd week blown engine. 4 the week running 2nd in consey boy right in front of me hit the wall turned over on top of my car twisted it so bad had to scrap it so don't be too discouraged it could have been much worse hang in there it will get back to normal running around home .
The 2019 Bridgeport Champion will be fine. Lots of wins coming!
Track definitely suited late model suspension, they raced 2 and 3 wide all week.

I've been around racing/race cars all my life, and here's my thoughts as to what's wrong. First of all, exclude the driver, there are no issues there, and that also indicates to me that it is car related. Get that pig in the shop, and pull the motor. Send it back to the builder for another dyno run. Early on in the week, there was a heating issue, to me....that's possibly cam timing. Motor Ok, then check the trans. , make sure it is smooth in all gears chosen, like butter, so that's fine? Driveshaft, u-joints with no binds....doubt if it's there, they heat and break and expose issues quickly. Pinion angle to rear end? Good thing to check, as well as any resistance in the rear (gearsets/bearings). Check brakes for slight drag, (master cylinder or a line collapse
?) remote but possible. Now the fun part. Take the unloaded suspension for the full travel, and look for binds/misalignments anywhere/everywhere. None? Take every component off the chassis, and measure the chassis suspension mounting points for factory tolerance. Every now and then, even the best builders have a jig slip and weld something in imperfectly. Look and measure EVERYTHING. Lengths/mounting point angles, remember this is a tough thing to find, and it is hiding. The last solution? Roll out last year's car and prep it. Put a For Sale sign on the new car. While people may disagree with me, I've found some new cars/chassis are simply nails and last year's car is a solution.
Try a spring changes heavier left front lighter right rear spring may help

A lot of familiar names...#XR7 was or is Mike Maheny. Did I miss his heat race? Erick Rudolph #12, Alex Bright #20, Brian Monteith #21, Dominick Buffalino #53, Tim Buckwalter #71, Larry Wight #97, and Billy Pauch Jr #91(5). The track ran in nice. It seemed to me going into turn 2 could use some contouring for tomorrow. Steve Post is absolutely excellent as an announcer...as he was in A/C NJ.
Can't wait until tomorrow...
