      There are some serious issues that come with Binary triggers that aren't discussed in videos advocating this concept. #1 is obviously hammer follow. Very easy to induce malfunctions with these triggers. The trick is to focus on consistent rate of fire rather than rapid fire rate per se.
      Second issue isn't with binary triggers per se but really just the concept in general. That is...very, very few people have enough ammo to sustain this type of rifle and train with it. Especially in a group setting. Especially because you really need to be well drilled with that binary trigger to run this setup effectively and its like the one type of trigger where you won't really encounter those issues in dry fire practice.
      I think the vast majority of people will just be better off building and running a normal carbine rather than sinking a ton of money into this setup. Its fun but lets be real nobody is advocating this type of build for fun even though it is. I'm not saying anything more than that.

    The Fostech Echo trigger doesn't have the best semi auto trigger, but it has a very consistent binary trigger. I have had mine for several years. Once I put an H3 buffer in the gun all trigger related malfunctions disappeared. I haven't had a hammer follow malfunction with that trigger since I put the H3 buffer in, with the exception of tuning my Suppressor. You can outrun the trigger but it doesn't allow the hammer to fall. You just get what feels like a dead trigger. Usually you feel it when you release the trigger and nothing happens, but you just have to pull the trigger again. I only wish they weren't so bloody expensive, and hard to put in. They are very complicated, and unnecessarily so in my opinion. My basically exploded when I was trying to put it in the first time. Parts went sailing all over the room. Note: the semi automatic trigger is not "bad" in my opinion. It's not excessively heavy or anything, it's just kinda mushy.

    I wonder if an IAR style build could benefit from a 12 o'clock style bipod like a Fortmeier on the front end of the top of the quad rail. I think could be akward having the weight above the bore, but I think if somebody were to set up their IAR build, I think it would look impressive!

    • @FitnFire
      @FitnFire  Месяц назад +1

      It would be and added bonus for stability and I could definitely seeing it on fixed/bug-in kind of scenarios. But, the added weight might decrease maneuverability for patrol ops. Ultimately, set up your rifle the way that suits your need.

      Think about how you plan to manage on uneven terrain.
      Sides of hills.
      Off debris.
      Off a car hood.
      Stuff that makes sense in a long range sporting situation don't make as much sense in highly dynamic environments.
