There are quite a few hard counters to Kenji. Yes his gadget is broken and 90% shield isn’t too bad but he is definitely A tier with some skill gap for S. It’s early so people don’t know how to play against him yet.
I'll bite -- the gadget should be reworked so it be linked with his swipe attack somehow, in a way that doesn't impair his mobility from dash attacks ➡

The thing is I’m fine with them making new brawlers OP but when they make mechanics like that it ruins the game. Just like Hank, Kenji has two outcomes in the future. It stays OP and annoys everyone or they nerf is to the ground and make it useless like Hank. The super mechanic is absolutely the worst, the star power and gadget are definitely just gonna get nerfed and turned to shit. I don’t know why Supercell is selling their souls to quick cash rather than keeping the game stable and making money for a long time. It’s inevitable that the game will turn into Clash Royale. It antagonizes me that they’re doing nothing different knowing the consequences of these choices.

Yes you can own VS noobs, but people just don’t know how to counter him yet. If you play vs better players you are countered easily. Gale/rico/chester/surge etc etc. Rat is way more op.
In his video, he pkayed against sandy and squeak, as mortis is similar enough to kenji, of course he can counter them. He's even saying his dash is broken, while it's not longer than the mortis one, at this point let's say mortes is also broken😒. I think as supercel until now only released op brawlers, people can't see that kenji is the most balanced brawler since the introduction of early access.For me despote his gadget being à bit too strong, he's not broken.
people complaining about good new brawlers are pretty braindead imo. if supercell want people to actually use brawlers they have to be good to increase usage/popularity. theyre choosing between releasing a more balanced brawler that has the off chance of being totally mediocre and unplayed, or increasing their stats enough to the point where they are guaranteed to be played, albeit likely broken. as a developer the latter is much more friendly of an outcome. and brawl stars has balance changes too so its not like they will completely destroy the game forever. of course it is a money grab but more money for the game is good and the functionality remains the same
If they will keep adding more broken brawlers i'll quit with more players Edit:not to mention that until they balance the brawler a new broken brawler legendery and asassin(or tank)
