I think they should take everyone’s feed back and come out with a Pistachio Gelato elixir that’s actually gourmand and long lasting with good projection
Thanks for your review. I was considering getting this, but think I’m going to pass for now. I have the DUA pistachio gelato perfume, and that one is quite strong and smells very much like pistachio. I’ll stick to that one for now. FYI, DUA has a lot of original gourmand perfumes along with their dupes. I have amassed quite the collection and really love their scents. They have sales pretty much every weekend for anyone who is interested.

Kayali is not a brand I like to blind buy with so I was ok with waiting for reviews. So glad I did because as per usual they seem to be very mixed. Some saying gourmand some saying fresh. But the consensus is it’s not very long lasting. So I will prob just do what I normally do and just buy a travel spray and if I like it buy a full bottle. IMO Laura Mercier Creme de Pistache was the BEST pistachio perfume EVER!!! She also had the body cream in the jar among other forms. Mine is LONG gone & keep hoping she will bring it back!

I love Kayali thank you for your review. I actually am expecting an ooey gooey vanilla pistachio scent too. I probably will get the medium size bottle and layer it with my Dior Vanilla Diorama.
Thanks for the review! I was able to purchase the travel size, and I agree, it's not what I was expecting. On first spray, I get a fresh/clean kinda scent, and then when it dries down, I do get a little pistachio and sweetness (I'm guessing from the marshmallow and Cotton candy notes). The longevity is not great on my skin. After about 30 mins, I have to put my nose very close to my skin to smell it. I don't dislike it because, to me, it dries down to just a sweet scent with a light pistachio note, but it is different. Maybe it will grow on me the more I wear it. Right now, I'm satisfied with the travel spray.
I love the SDJ Cheirosa perfume! So delicious! I haven’t tried Yum Pistachio Gelato yet, but so far the reviews have been not that great and I already feel let down by Kayali. Why call it Yum Pistachio Gelato and how gourmand it is when there’s a prominent fresher note to it? Why call it intense when it barely projects and lasts? I feel like that’s quite deceiving. 😢

Thank you for comparing your pistachio perfumes. I ended up ordering the dua brand pistachio gelato. Going to wait to smell kayali in store and see how long it lasts on my skin, all the reviews say the longevity is poor. Great review ❤
I hope you've tried the billie eilish perfume if you love vanilla! I sprayed that one on one wrist and vanilla 28 on the other,and it totally lasted longer then the vanilla 28 and was half the price😊
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup I was going to use powdery coconut from dossier (a dupe for Tom ford’s Soli Blanc) because it has a a fresh powdery smell! Also, it has a note of pistachio so I think they’d pair really well

I ordered the mucho size early too and I was super excited to get it! While I do like it I feel it wears off super fast and doesn't smell very gourmand to me. Smells like a fresh out of the shower smell with a hint of sugar. I do love the bottle though and I will continue to use because it does smell good-just not what I expected.
OMG I got soooo excited when I saw this video pop up! I've been stuck recently on looking for pistachio perfumes. I keep hearing that the Kayali smells "fresh and soapy" which is NOT my vibe or what I am hoping for so now I am hesitating until I smell it. I've been eyeing the le gourmande one for months though

I had the Kayali one and I recently bought a dupe - Lattafa Affection. It smells incredibly close to the Kayali perfume and it's for a fraction of the price. Best part is that it last much longer!
Have you tried Elie Saab Girl of Now? It is a pistachio and almond scent. Edit I just saw your comment about this below. Could you spray vanilla 28 to add more gourmand scent?
Hi Leah. You need to experience Pistache Skincare body cream and pistachio elixir body mist! OMG its the most delicious Pistachio I have ever smelled and lasts a looong time especially when layered with the cream. The cream is also sometimes referred to as “the boyfriend cream” as you will get a boyfriend wearing this! Dont tell your hubby!!! I think you have to irder from their website although at one time Sephora carried it. Would love to see your review on them. Thanks!
UPDATE: it's grown on me 😁. It's definitely not intense, very soft. Might repurchase. I get a baby powder vibe at first, my husband even asked me if I had baby powder on which is not what I was hoping to hear :) But I do feel like the dry down is really where it's at, the sweetness really comes through. I am going to keep it but it wont be a repurchase for me. I love Kayali perfumes!
I was so excited about all these notes When I saw that it was out and then sold out ! It was sold out everywhere Sephora Huda etc. iI love pistachio brûlée and Cheirosa . I think I will get a travel size of the Yum and if I love it I’ll get the big one. Thanks for the review.

I was waiting to hear your thoughts in this one. I received a mini and it’s not what I expected it to smell. For me it smells very soapy, I can smell some whipped cream and boozy notes, but no pistachios for me. I kinda like the scent after wearing it for 7 hours or so, but the rest of the time is was not my scent…
When I first heard about this perfume I was intrigued but it hasn’t got the best reviews so far. I’m going to have to smell this in person because I have been burned too many times by blind buy Kayali perfumes. Most I’ve hated from this brand.

@@LeahJanae If you have a bottle and the juice is very light it needs to age. I blind bought a bottle about a year ago and absolutely hated it. Dug it back out a month or so ago and it's completely different- the liquid is dark brown and the scent richer and more complex. One of my favorites now.

I got a travel size of Pistachio Gelato by Kayali, the opening is sooo sharp citrus! Its juicy, bright, and remains that way forever, the deep dry down is nice, but its too sharp and citrusy and I'm getting bathroom soap from it like others have said ...it was a disappointment for me 😔

Sephora is sold out of them and Huda doesn’t even have it on her website. I’m sad now. I really wanted this and you got me so excited, not your fault. I always know if someone has to overspray themselves with it it will not give me a headache and I will probably love it.
I like that perfume house I have their vanilla 28 and burnt cherry which I love only complaint I have about them is they don’t last on me for more then two hours so I have to keep reapplying which is annoying wish they lasted at least 4 hours Will definitely check this one out in April during the vib sale at Sephora tfs

Have you tired any Demeter fragrances? They have a lot of fun/weird scents on their website! They even have one called Pistachio Ice Cream, but I haven't smelled it yet.
I like it, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. I will be done with my travel spray in no time! It’s light and airy and I don’t think it feels like a true gourmand.
Give me pistachio anything and I love it. I’m allergic to bananas and pistachios and I swear I love the smell of both of them and I have a deep dark thing with them that I know I would love both of them very much so I wear them and buy the scent in candles.

During the last year or so I have become allergic to perfume . I get these circular rashes on my neck even on my wrist with some 😩 . Wich totally suck cuz who dosen't like to smell good.
I was really excited for this then someone told me not to bother it didn't smell like yummy desert it smelled like watered down soap and flowers. Ahhh that's a no for me I want the yummy desert sweet smell. I may try it for myself in a small size but idk yet . * The Dua brand I think is what the women recommend for me to try in a comment I'm gonna have to go look but she gave me a recommendation and say it was amazing if it's different I'll leave u a comment

Dua! Is a niche company they make some dupes, but they make a lot of their owns. The longer you let it set the strong it gets great company.🙁😍❤️

I have some BBW Handsoap in Pistachio Cream Puff and I wish they would expand on that scent! I love it so much will definitely try the Cheirosa 62.

Have you tried Chocolate Queen? It's hazelnut and nutty in addition to the other notes. It's complex imo though

If you don't mind me asking, how does the Dua one compare to the Sol de Janeiro one? 👀
The Dua is a true Pistachio while Sol de janeiro has a lot more extra gourmand notes such as the almond, Caramel that make it warm & sweeter to me

I get more of a bright, clean, soapy vibe from the new Kayali. I don't really get any gourmand vibes from it :(

I hardly remember what that one smells like anymore but I do remember I used to love it!

During the last year or so I have become allergic to perfume . I get these circular rashes on my neck even on my wrist with some 😩 . Wich totally suck cuz who dosen't like to smell good.
I've been noticing certain perfumes do that to my sensitive skin too. Have you tried just spraying your clothes/hair?

I was really excited for this then someone told me not to bother it didn't smell like yummy desert it smelled like watered down soap and flowers. Ahhh that's a no for me I want the yummy desert sweet smell.
I may try it for myself in a small size but idk yet .

I love the idea of all most of the Kayali fragrances but haven't liked a single one except Eden Juicy Apple because they all have patchouli in them and it's a note I just can't get down with.
