Inner Fire Priest on 2021? LOL
He's just standing there, menacingly!
Now THIS is exactly the sort of pulse-pounding, edge-of-your-seat, high-octane gameplay I subscribe to this channel for.
"A strange game. The only winning move is not to play."
--WOPR, from WarGames
How about a game of chess?
Yes! Omg
THIS is what makes a legend player. Amazing knowledge, immediately knowing his outs to play properly the whole game.
Amazing!
that's because he is playing in high legend and he knows most of the players and what deck they usually play with. there is no chance anyone could do the same on lower ranks
@@ExtraDip613 It's rank 500 NA Wild early in the month. That's not high, that's close to the bottom.
@@ExtraDip613 You can totally do that even in dumpster legend. The vast majority of opponents netdeck.
@@Athanatov the game search an opponent for you based on your MMR, not on your rank.
@@thebigyes8482 thats the point. most of the players netdeck but what the opponent played i wouldnt call it a popular deck, at least in my pocket meta ive never seen a divine spirit priest in ages
I'm actually entertained by Dane doing absolutely nothing in a virtual card game for 10+ min straight, I love this guy

Hearthstone: Heroes of "My hand is full!"
This is the best match in the history of the game at this point.
Definitely up there with stuff like RDU bolting own scientist, Trump's "The Plan", and many of Dog's matches.

No sarcasm, I love games like this. It's really interesting to see Hearthstone games with calculated inaction.
I'm not sure if you're familiar, but there's a term in chess: zugzwang, wherein basically a position can be lost because of a player's obligation to make a move. I never thought id see a a person get zugzwanged in hearthstone
I'm looking forward to the extended Ridge Wallet lore.

Every single upload you put out is so cozy man. It seriously makes me feel like a little kid browsing RUclips (I’m 27, browsing it since 2008!) - your account is nostalgic because of how much fun you have, and the amount of creativity put into it.
Thank you for these frequent uploads, these are awesome. Been going through some real hard shit lately, and it just makes me feel so much more warm on the inside.
Bless you man. Hope you and your loved ones are healthy and happy.
You’ve put my feelings into words about Dane
Life may be hard for many of us, however let us keep ourselves cozy around Dane's content whilst sharing those moments here .
Wish you all well, friends, for you're not alone. Cheers!
I do so love when ranked Hearthstone deviates from the same boring slog that is meta-deck #1 vs meta-deck #2 rotating endlessly.
So you dislike people wanting to win in ranked? I don’t understand what you’re complaining about. lol isn’t the point of ranked to win?
@@brockveltri6974 I dislike having to play against the same 2-4 decks for 98% of my games. It's boring, repetitive, and unenjoyable.
Yeah the fucking audacity my opponents have to play meta decks instead of meme decks. What an unhealthy game and meta where my opponents can win against me using good decks am I right?
@@Fr0zenEagle don’t play then if you don’t want to win? Play Minecraft or something where there isn’t any competition involved :)
@@brockveltri6974 people wanting to win ≠ repetition
5:14 aaah yes, the good old afk strategy to get your opponent off guard, Dane ain't having none of that tho ;)
Except they actually ended their turn so they indicated with it that they were not afk
This is amazing, Dane's ability to instantly figure out what the opponent is playing and screw him over.
Dane is the king of disruption and that’s what we all love him for. It takes not only knowing your own, but also the opponents deck, game plan, and current outs - simultaneously. Absolutely brilliant.
One of these days, you should include just 1 extra scene frame for the Ridge wallet series where, right after the boss crushes the can, it cuts to the sandy floor beneath him, littered with crushed purple soda cans, the next one being tossed in, and every couple of weeks or so, just make a slight edit so that it appears the pile of cans is ACTUALLY continuing to grow, implying that even though the boss knows about it, rather than step in and say or do anything, he much prefers to continue crushing purple soda cans as his coping mechanism for the situation.
I haven't played hs for two years yet I still watch Dane, I just love the content. Can someone explain what is this priest combo with Dane's minions?
Probably Topsy turvy shenanigans where you potion of madness or whatever and super buff a minion and it basically has charge
The point was to take over one of danes minions with potion of rage (or wave of apathy + PoR), buff up its health with spells like power word shield or power word fortitude, increase it even further with divine spirit, then flip its health and attack around with topsy turvy and attack danes face for like 50 damage
Remember inner fire priest? Well, nowadays a priest can take literally any enemy minion, buff it to bonkers proportions, and then transfer the health to attack to OHKO you. In other words... playing any minion without killing it will instead kill you.
Priest has a one mana spell called potion of madness ( you can see a copy was milled during the game) which steals and opponents minions that’s 2 or less attack, but the card also gives the minion they stole, free range to attack face that turn. So to otk opens up when priest is able to buff the minion’s health with multiple copies of divine spirit( double the health of your minion) and then either use inner fire ( change a minions attack equal to the minions health) or topsy turvey (switch the health and attack of a minion) to quickly get a very large minion with charge, to hit your opponent for usually at-least 60 plus damage. They will always be able to have a target when they have various ways to lower an opponents minion to one with cards like wave of apathy (reduce your opponents minions to one attack) so the best counter to the deck is clear any minions on board or don’t play any minions for them to steal, warriors have an edge in the matchup, because they can stack armor above 30 health snd cards like bulwark and deadman’s hand for fatigue snd blocking damage.
I actually read all these comments to see who explains the combo better lol
Can we appreciate Danes insane reading if his opponents?
Watching Dane play DMH is a drug. I've been on it since he started doing this back in KFT
Reminds me of the Tetris neural network that came to the conclusion the best way to play was to just pause
Still more fun and interactieve than Quest Warlock.
It's amazing your dedication to these thumbnails, I mean the amount of weight you are putting on then losing is such short periods of time it quite impressive!
Ok maybe I’m missing something but when did inner fire priest come back into the meta AND become so prevalent that Dane somehow knew that’s what the priest was playing in the first game? And why does their strategy rely so much on the opponent having minions? Like wouldn’t you just play your own minions to make sure you have something to pull off the combo with? Maybe I don’t play enough hearthstone right now to know the meta (all I ever see is questline hunter and warlock tbh) but either way I feel like that priest deck needs some tweaks if someone can just make sure they have no minions on the board and you lose
They use the opponent's minions because when they steal it with potion of madness it gets charge, so they can go face on the combo turn. They could play their own charge minion, but that's one less good spell in the deck when they can always play wave of apathy + potion and always steal an opponent's minion. Using wave + potion they can also bypass a taunt by stealing the taunt minion. It also has the advantage that it disincentives the opponent to even play a minion, knowing it will be used against them. Of course in this particular matchup, it was to Dane's advantage instead of the priest's.
In this case the priest couldn't go all in on their own minion, because it wouldn't have charge and they knew, playing against a warrior, it's almost certainly going to get removed as a warrior has a lot of ways to remove a single, big minion.
@@zarblitz ok that’s what I figured but I wasn’t sure. Seems like it was better to at least try to play their own minions then to wait for the opponent to play some but maybe I’m wrong
Big priest is completely dead, ot obviously wasnt aggropriest and combo priest is on skme ranks more popular. So the gamble of counting on it isnt combo but reno for a small advantage of having a small minion on board is not worth it
@@zarblitz wait what? they actually don't play boar? I thought the 1 health bulwark was keeping the boar in check (since it nullified one istance of damage) and he wasn't playing minions to prevent them from breaking it, there is no way this is an optimal list, i truly don't see adding boar + vivid nightmare being worse than relying entirely on your opponent to win, but what do i know
@@rajkanishu I run a single Vivid Nightmare in my deck, it usually acts as a third copy of Divine Spirit with a bit of flexibility (copying Radiant Elemental or Flamewaker is possible), and just one copy of Gnomeregan Infantry.
Your videos are so good start to finish, ads and all.
Glad Dane still sprinkles in some DMH warrior even during these trashmeta times.
One of the last entertaining wild players!
Stay alive!
Priest: Go ahead play your pathetic cards.

Dead Man's Hand? More like Dane's Meme Hand
I had a similar game a few years ago. I was a priest against a mechathun druid. They used an auctioneer to empty their deck. So I hit them in the face then destroyed my own minions. They only had the combo in their hand and ended up having to tempo play the mechathun.
Another Master Class by the man! I salute you sir 👍🏽
I click a Dane video I see a Dane video. And my order is never wrong.
Can someone explain what the combo was from the first match? Stopped playing constructed a while back, no clue what decks are out there. Still watch Dane's vids because well he's Dane and you gotta love him.
I havent played for months but i assume its where u change all your enemies minions to 1 damage, steal them then buff them up with the 8 mana +3 +5 spell and then double hp and inner fire yada yada, and because the minion is stolen it has charge too.
Excellent read. Big brain plays
fun and interactive
Oponent: bro are you going to play or what?
Dane: I am playing
Opponent: aite imma head out
looking forward to the ridge sequel
Fun and interactive game play kek.
now this is peak hearthstone gameplay
All i learn from this video was:
MY HAND IS FULL
That looked better than Stormwind solitare. Hero power and skip turn warriors is sooo nostalgic
this is why you should run the 1/4 taunt charge minion
lmao, a great card
I remember beating ETC Warrior when it came out with some garbage Freeze OTK Reno Shaman by doing absolutely nothing. They had their combo and less cards in their deck. Funny when it happens.

You're my boy Dane
What type of combo priest was that?
Your opponent take an extra turn on your turn 🤣
Yalright la!
He prob put the 1/4 charge in his deck after that game
question for native english speakers - what is first words of Dane in this video 0:00 ?
i cant understand, is this something french?
Ridge Noir hype
If by winning you mean grinding XP, then it’s always correct to do nothing!
Stellar
That first game was genuinely more interesting than the current Warlock, Mage boring combo bollocks.
If you fill your hand with target minion spells, but your opponent refuses to play a minion, do you just get locked out of playing.
I'm pretty sure that priest didn't even have a minion in his hand.
All spells that target minions. Couldn't even empty his hand.
thank you ridge
yorai laah
this game, is truly a test of skill, minimal rng, big brain plays
wait how the hell did you know it was inner fire priest as opposed to big priest?
What about putting a couple of dirty rats in his deck, so even in this situation where he is blocked because you don't play a single card, he can still do it ? 👀
when you said sponsored by ridge, i thought for a sec you're gonna say raid...shadowlegends 😆
Ridge: Shadow Wallet.
Holy shit
That's why you play a copy of the 3 mana 1/4 with taunt and charge
Yeah very surprised he wasn’t running that
That won't work against bulwark. That's probably why Dane saves 1 charge.
@@ratpongkraiwiwat5988 saving 1 charge didn’t really look like it was up to him
This is a riveting match up and to let anyone ever say otherwise this was an outstanding move

Well actually there's like 87 but let's just focus on the third.
can someone please explain to me what i am witnessing because i dont understand

Hi Dane
I once again asking for potatoes video
actually what the priest playing?
Win by not losing
HAHAHAHA
@snowblind o7
The first match is the kind of match that people will hate on the wrong side.

How did you ban the warlock class??
I'm a bastard, and I know about it
Riveting
i was surprised he didnt bother copying the bulwark at all
What is the wincon of the priest in the first game? Im out of loop in wild since this expansion
Inner fire priest. Basically they buff a minion to make it have a ton of health, then flip it's stats and hit face for lethal in one turn. Dane couldn't play minions because the priest has spells that take control of a minion for that turn.
In the end, the priest only had cards to target minions, if Dane played one he'd be dead. Since he didn't, their hand was literally unplayable.
wave of apathy on enemy minion to reduce attack to 1, steal it and commence inner fire shenanigans for an otk
They also could vivid nightmare a stolen minion that’s been buffed to increase the otk potential even more.
So it basically lost to any afk deck lol
@@thenoobtroll8885 No, because they play some of their own minions, but Dane was able to remove them along with his own.
Wait what was the priest decklist ?
Topsey Turvy, Inner Fire, Divine Spiritx2, Power Word: Shieldx2, Vivid Nightmares, Insight, Novice Engineerx2, Loot Hoarderx2, Devout Dungeoneerx2, Palm Readingx2, Wave of Apathyx2, Potion of Madnessx2, Thrive in Shadowsx2, Shadow Visionsx2, Shard of Naaru. Maybe Renews + Clerics of Anshe. Maybe Power Word: Fortitudes.
Wait what? My user name is snowblind and I haven't played you?!??
I'm not very familiar with the archetypes of wild. Someone can explain me what was playing the priest? and why was so important not leave any cards on the board?
Inner Fire Priest can steal an opponent’s minion, buff it with various health buffs, then double the health 1 or 2 times with Divine something (blanking on name), then Inner Fire the minion to make attack equal to health for the OTK.
The fact that you didn't get any Tavern pass points because you only played like 5 cards, is kinda hilarious
Suffering from success
why didnt the priest just concede earlier if he didnt plan on playing anything? Like after 4 turns of straight passing just let this one slide or atleast try?
I assume he was seeing what warrior burned, maybe he would burn a crucial removal tool and the priest would have a chance
what deck was the priest playing?
A. His name was Snowblind
(I understood that reference.)
((Bring forth a new age of darkness, so that only you may see the light… Q_Q))
B. What if his hand was only cards with ‘Cast on a minion’, so he literally couldn’t do anything besides pass.
Couldnt you have played Coldlight Oracle, and then Shield Slam into it? Looks funnier to just not do anything though
I've go' a question fo' ya. What's heaviah?
