From a guy who follows mario kart since the beginning, I can tell you that this mario kart is a masterpiece. It has everything what we dreamed about 20 years ago. If you can't see that I guess it's because either you are too young and you discover mario kart like that or you just don't like arcade course game which you can play with your friends at home, not online.
I asked myself the same thing. It's why I came to watch a video, I just can't see the appeal of driving around in circles with no storyline. It's definitely no GTA, or Assassins Creed.
