      I always speak a lot when I have emotions about whatever. My triggers are emotions. And when I drink coffee I get emotional about whatever too. Today I received a gift from my sister and I got emotional so I started to speak like a crazy and all my family got angry. I felt so bad and if I could I would scream in my head:" stop talking when you have emotions"

    Lucy! 👏🏽 I am an emotional person and I’ve managed to regulate my emotions better and the peace that comes?!?! For me I’ve found understanding my triggers and past experiences paved the way in being in tune with my thought patterns which heavily influenced my emotions. Once I changed my mindset and perspective, my emotions followed suit. Now I’m more in control of my emotions 💕

      @@pamelaramos1537 hey Pam. I have a similar experience as Lorri.
      You need to work through your current behaviour.. work backwards until you can find the 1st time you felt your emotions were out of check. Think about which action triggered it.. then think of every time you were triggered.. until your earliest memory...
      Youll need to feel the feelings your probably werent allowed to feel.. then release the person/people that triggered you... think of it as layers of an onion that you are unraveling... and slowly youll be able to release the anger.. and slowly be in control...its a long hard process.. but it works

    I feel you gal, I once was a people pleaser,worried about everyone but me. I attracted narsacissitic people who took advantage of my good will. After much sorrow, suffering and always having to take the blame for the sake of peace, am now learning to be myself regardless...

    I want to say, emotions are the key to your truth and your purpose. They “ruin” things when you’re off route or “out of alignment with source energy”. Meaning disconnected from love. (We don’t give emotions a bad rep when we know better) but, controlling them is so so key. Totally agree. Just know. They are not the enemy. Blessings to all.

    I feel like I am a very open-minded person, and I try to understand people before getting in my feelings, as you mentioned, but I HATE when I try to ask questions to get that understanding and that individual doesn't want to communicate 😮‍💨.

    I can recognize how dramatic I am, yet I’ve expected everyone to just deal with it. I can work on my silence. I can work through it on my own. It would help me to channel it elsewhere rather than express it the way I have.

    Recognise the emotion and show/act on the appropriate emotion...wow mind blown! I edit the actions my emotions can come out as. I feel like my emotional vocabulary is very very limited. It is scary to be emotionally authentic. I feel like maybe it's because my parents shut me down a lot

    Sound advice, Lucy. And thank you. My journey to happiness includes all of what you advised. I make it a habit to observe my emotions before reacting to anything I perceive as negative. I intend to respond with understanding in any uncomfortable situation I'm confronted with. I'm in the motions of monitoring and mastering my emotions.

    Silence always works for me, when it gets to bad, I politely excuse myself but on a later time I always trash out things so I don’t keep a grudge.
    If the person is physically confrontational I compose an explanatory message or VN because people tend to misinterpret the tone when reading and may pick further offense.

    You’re absolutely right! Silence is a powerful tool to control emotions. Thanks for reminding me again. Thanks for that “channel your emotions to something else”. I do that and writing/studying is the best ways I channel my emotions. I concur with you; self-care is my thing and it’s cool. Meditation is part of my life.     Heyy.....I considered myself emotionally unstable for YEARS! I always felt hurt, betrayed, like no matter how good I treated others. I always got the short end of the stick, I viewed life with the half full lens, smh. & because of that, I would always respond with lashing out, being full of rage, etc. I realize I was taking the actions of how others rolled too personal. But once I got into my 20's I started to get worst! (due to lack of self care I mean 100%) I was there for everybody else & self was a non factor. ☹once I entered my 30's, I realized that was exhausting me, taking all of my energy & time. I didn't want to operate like that anymore. I honestly couldn't! I did every last tip you listed. & although I am still in the beginning process of learning to be in FULL control of self & my emotions. I feel so free! I. love the freedom I have created for myself, from just controlling my emotions. I know that my life is about to open up, i'm about to become so aligned! I will never waste my time or energy allowing my emotions to control me. i am so grateful & blessed, thank you Universe 🙌🏿✨. if you're someone who struggles with your emotions & feels it's impossible to control them, TRUST ME IT IS NOT! is it work ? yes!     Channeling my anger has really helped me be very productive. Betrayal made me take my career plans seriously instead of procrastinating. I was mad but figured it wasn’t worth it acting out and the answer was no.

    All of these are valid points, but emotional intelligence is a blend of various skill sets, such as empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, and social skills. People can develop different levels of emotional intelligence, but achieving higher levels requires a structured therapeutic approach, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Most people have only a basic level of emotional intelligence, which is why many of us struggle internally.

    You are such am inspiring and admirable woman! I don't have much luck with having female friends...they all allow their jealousy to come between years of friendship, even when they can't provide me with one scenario where I betrayed our friendship. So, having a woman I can look to for advice and not worry they will betray my vulnerability is game changing! I'm ready to leave my painful childhood and past behind and level up my womanhood. Good job on working on yourself in your youth. I'm 2 years older, and wish to not ruin my life with self-sabotage and loss of trust due to a lack of recieving reciprocation for my efforts in other friend and family relationships. I love your life-giving mantra in this video! Is there any personal advice you may able to offer to me?

    An absolute YES!!! on every point made especially on the self care. Sometimes selfcare means saying No to what doesn't work for you at some point in time.
    I've been on a journey this year and these points mentioned have helped tremendously.
    I'll add journaling to the list thou. Writing your thoughts down can be very therapeutic and helps with controlling your emotions. For privacy sake you might want to tear up or burn your writing down after but by all means get writing

    I love the tip and kinda of advice however, one thing I have to disagree with you is on meditation and trying to manifest thing especially if you a are a believe you should allow God to take that problem and then go into your prayer room. If you are worried or if you are scared, put it in God hands because meditation is clearing out your mind, and we as believers or follower of Christ should not be trying to clear out on my mind but to full up our mind with his words. I forgot the verse but it said meditate night and day on my words.

    Always channeling to a funny series works for me! Or learning a new concept via a video really works. I’m easily triggered and I really need to learn the art/act of silence ❤

      Also sometimes crying does it. We sometimes try too hard to be strong and lengthen the time we feel what we feel when we can just cry for the moment and talk to ourselves and feel better quickly 😂

    That is your Painbody/ID and it truly is its own entity and drives you from a place of fear. Its your emotions way to protect you so show appreciation to them and release. It takes practice and it will develop over time. Treat yourself the same way you want to treat others and recognize that if you are not being emotionally intelligent you will need to let yourself understand that you will protect yourself consciously now.
