I was just thinking of your family today. I am in Pittsburgh and was reading our local paper and saw an article about a mother and father who didn't want their son and daughter, both born with Down's Syndrome to be part of the statistic but rather part of the future. In 2016 they opened a coffee shop called Bitty and Beau's in NC and since then have opened 20 additional locations since....they will be opening their 21st location this weekend in a place called the Strip District which is still part of the downtown area that has all sorts of specialty stores, restaurants, etc. When you visited the one establishment that hired people with intellectual disabilities I always wondered if the area I live in had such an establishment and as of this weekend we do.
What a cool event and that cherry blossom tree is soooo pretty. I have to say it again, the intro and the outro....fabulous.

This was WONDERFUL! We had a spring drum session at my care home last week too! Ours was all African drums and the leader asked me to play the double bell which was seriously cool and REALLY heavy lol. What a beautiful way to welcome spring!
Nick that was an awesome sweet thing to witness in New York city. A cool and valuable learning resource opportunity to literally make your own kind of music. To quote the mamas and the papas folk band in the 1960s USA. Gabe clearly enjoyed himself as indeed did all those who took part. Even your mom enjoyed it too.

It was so lovely to see Gabe and your Mom enjoying this musical event.
My late brother Stephen was intellectually disabled and he loved music and dancing to it. His favourite band was Bon Jovi. He loved to make the actions of the drummer drumming. He even bought himself an Irish drum at a music festival.
It was so lovely of this couple to do this. ❤❤

Stephen's best friend Peter had Down syndrome. He also passed away not long after my brother. I miss them both very much, so being able to see Gabe in his daily life and interacting with you and your beautiful family brings me great joy. 🥰

Hi Gabe and Nick and mom and dad you all are just a great family together I know there’s been ups and downs I had a granddaughter with downs but unlike Gabe she couldn’t be potty trained but her smiles and hugs made everyone smile. She died at the age of 23after doctors she wouldn’t live a year. Love to watch your family together. God bless you all

I know that you had to delete on some that I commented on. I am feel hurt when you ingore what i posted. Reather what you understand or not, Your brother got used and not understanding much how he feels. Just like you treat me of what i commet, you believe on diagnosices to be the truth. That hurt rather if you understand it or not. It like i said. If you're seeing how some of them don't have Rhythm to follow, I have behaved exactly the same way when I was high on medication. You may not know how my sex behavior your brother goes through on medication. That's a scary situation. How I used to live before i was off my medication. Yes, it is scary to be in this Situation when some people are addicted to drugs or high on medication. The truth of drungs
Please allow to me clear things out. But if you don't believe I telling the truth,that not my problem. And not my responsibility. This what I been living for 41 years. And it not easy trying to understand responsibility waiting so long to live it. Ever since I been off my medication, I very comfortable being around people. Enjoying conversations. I thankful of kerp learning more everyday. Just to make it clear. I don't have any criminal record. And praying to keep it that way. As long as I being aware not take too much drungs. Too much drinking, Illegal drugs. Etc. Etc. I be fine. I still got lots of catching up to do. If i the best Agavate for disabilities,it.a honer. And lots to explain a hole new defferent ways to understand what it like putting yourself in my shoe in a whole defferent ways.
Whether if people take medication or not, It's about learning from your mistakes. If you can't do it with medication, If you can't do it without medication, You're a fucking screw. Yes I mean lily. There's a lot of poor leadership since covidt. We could do better than this america. Let show the cumminity how important to teach people to try and let people know that it OK to make mistakes and try try again
P.s. breathing meditation help me find peace in my journey. It's a lot of train to learn from
It also help with my anger issues. And I thankful of learning how to live as robert vandyk. Not just someone that have disabilities. My life have much more valuable of life now
