ITP and Symbolic are awesome albums, but you can not for get about the most aggressive Death album of all...HUMAN!!!! For me, that was Death's greatest album!!

This is the song, which turned me into a Death fanatic. That middle part with that solo and constant snare fill blew my mind and still blows it every time I listen to it.

So cool that Steve adds his flair and it's seamless. I've just done quick Googling and Steve did record on the Symbolic demos, and its pretty similar to what he plays here.
Fairly Secret Music the new reissues got remixed with more bass in the mix is why. I’ve read that Chuck always intended to have those remixes happen as he was never happy with the bass sound on Human or ITP. He of course never got around to that in life. He said Symbolic was the first album he thought was mixed perfectly and he didn’t think it needed to have anything done to it.
As a 41-year-old bay area musician, all i have to say is thank you. These are the nostalgic years-Chuck, Gene, Steve, Bobby, Andy, Paul, Sean -you all changed my life in the 90’s. Absolute unequivocal pioneers. What metal has become-even though it’s calculus to the ears, i still enjoy, to an extent-But the magic that you all encapsulated with what you did with Death-I’ll always be grateful. You all contributed to the story of my life. Thanks again!

Outstanding! Thank you to all you AMAZING musicians for keeping Chuck's music alive. I loved seeing DTA live and I look forward the next time I can see these great musicians live again.
I saw this same lineup live in Romagnano Sesia, Italy. Up to that point I didn't realize the power of Chuck's compositions in a live environment. Even pre-Human stuff had an energy and a vibe that I would have never anticipated. I entered the location a bit skeptical at first, and I left thinking I probably experienced one of the most memorable concerts of my life. I enjoyed the HELL out of that show, it grew on me by the minute. Thanks to these guys who brought those songs to life, masterfully. They were beyond great. I never saw Death live (unfortunately), but I have the feeling that Chuck would be proud of them.

Thank you for keeping the metal spirit alive. I saw Death tour without Chuck first time at Noorderligt NL 1990. From then on I never missed a show around here. In 1995 I talked with a tall guy in the public about the support act and metal in general. Happen to be Gene I found out later that night when Death played their show. I also went to both DTA tours more recent. I hope you guys will see the chance to tour again with DTA and play at a large metal show here in Europe. Graspop, Hellfest, Dynamo or sort like.

We lose the best way too early, RIP Chuck. Met Gene in Santa Clara at One Step Beyond when Death came through in 1992 IIRC. I was 16 and this metal god took 5 mins to say hi and shake my hand.

As great as those others players are, none of them composed those amazing solos in Symbolic, it was Bobby, whose playing style is so unique.
