I remember clearly hearing this the first time..was about 15 when i first listened to this beautiful song…that was 50 yrs ago and their music still stands strong as ever.
It only proves you have not found out where the great music comes from these days. This is especially a problem for people who live isolated on the big lost island and think thats the whole world, since in fact you have to look to countrys like Netherlands, Finnland and Japan maybe 😉
Love to see someone discover and appreciate Led Zeppelin. Any one of their songs that you chose to react to is bound to knock your socks off. Looking forward to seeing you go down the rabbit hole.
The live version is decent, but the studio version is in credible!!! Jimmy Overdubbed something like 9 guitars on that song. It makes you want to be a musician!!! The guitar work is phenomenal! Jimmy Page is a genius!!!
It's cool to see an hear them rock a different arrangement. Nothing wrong with the band wanting to change things up, as musicians, it probably got boring playing every studio version song note for note, so it's fun for them and shows the fans versatility... but, for me, the Studio Version of Stairway really kicks it.
Has been since early 70’s when I last saw somebody listening to Led Zeppelin for the first time. I saw them Live the first time on 24 Jan 1975 at the Ritchfield Coliseum. I had tears in my eyes when they played “Stairway To Heaven”. Then, I saw them again on 30 April 1977 at the Pontiac Silverdome and I again had tears for Stairway. What can I say. Had em again here. Often imitated, never duplicated. The one and only! Like Queen, they are 4 extraordinary talents who are each very highly skilled and together they are simply magic. They struck gold so many times that gold took out a restraining order!
Is it only who thinks that the live versions of this track get a level of focus that they’ve been up until then sorely needing when John Bonham comes in with the drums? To me it’s pedestrian, plodding and lacking in direction before the drums (and the overall change in focus and fixing of timing that they bring to the other instruments) come in.
Stairway has been very favorite song and this my favorite version for the very reason of that solo. Just pure brilliance from the greatest band of all time.

Good reaction girl, I loved watching your face as you were listening to it. You were really in to it!
They were the best band ever especially live. And Jimmy never played any solos the same way twice. He literally did whatever he felt like and improvised on the spot. Incredible player!! Ps watch it again and look how often he's ripping a solo out with his eyes shut!!!
Ya I dont think she actually watched the video.. just listened... ruined it for me.. missing the esthetic which is a big no no to LZ. shoulda just done studio If she wasn't gonna watch
To be fair Jimmy absolutely did retain clear motifs from studio versions of solos in his live work. You can clearly hear it here... the opening measures of this solo are a direct replication of the way the album solo comes in and progresses. What he absolutely did do live was expand significantly upon the album solos, both in duration and content, with improvised sections. To be honest, even listening as a guitarists I think that met with mixed results. Sometimes those added sections were inspirational, exciting and added real interest to a track. Other times I find myself thinking that I understand why studio recordings had shorter and more focused solos because the live solos are sometimes repetitive, or meandering (in a bad way) or lacking in focus and detract from the song as a whole rather than adding.
There are Zeppelin staples with Stairway being a good introduction. Add to your playlist, 'Since l've been loving you' 'When the levee breaks' 'Achilles last stand' 'Kashmir' 'You shook me' 'Good times, bad times' 'Moby dick' & 'Fool in the rain' Understand, you could choose virtually any song from their repertoire and still end up having an eargasm.
One of the greatest rock songs ever by one of the best, if not the best rock bands ever. I was fortunate enough to see them live twice in one week way back in 1977 (yes, I am that old).

Wether you like LZ or not, this track is magic. Musicians don't do music like that anymore, in the sense that the track tells a story and puts you into multiple waves of different emotions. I am glad you listened to the long version :)
LZ is performing here at Madison Square Garden in New York City. "The Garden" , as New Yorkers call it, hosted some of the most famous people in show business history, as well as many sporting events, and also political conventions. A TV program was on a few years ago called "The Top 50 moments at Madison Square Garden." The performance you're seeing here was voted the No. 1 "moment" at the Garden. Zeppelin beat out presidents like Jimmy Carter and George Bush, as well as performers like Frank Sinatra (I saw Sinatra at the Garden in the `1970's)
There's a reason this somg was ranked #31 in Rolling Stone's top 500 rock songs. I suggest Since I've Been Loving You should be next. I really enjoyed your reaction.
You should listen to the Heart cover at the Kennedy center honors show. It brought tears to Robert Plant. They were the only band that got a standing ovation not only from the crowd but also from the Wilson sisters idols the 3 remaining members of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant said was the best cover ever.
Hello, I have a serious question, why is literally no one reacting to "Raign, knocking on heavens door" So powerful, beautiful, complex and emotional. Such a unique voice. Have a nice day.
can I suggest if you haven't seen it -- watching Heart doing "Stairway" at the Kennedy Center when Zeppelin got a career award during the Obama Administration, and the surviving 3 are filmed watching the performance -- and Jason Bonham, the late John's son is playing with Heart ...... VERY emotional
You're beautiful and I love your clips. I think someone as young as you listening to my 60's music is the best things I have seen in these reaction videos. When you talked about Stairway to Heaven you referred to Jimmy Page as the guitar guy and Robert Plant as the singer. That almost killed me. You don't know the legend of this group and these guys. If I could only tell you so much about the music you react to like Hey Jude. It was the song of the year when it came out, the song of decade and the song of the century. Of all the songs in the twentieth century, that song was deemed the greatest ever. Wish I could tell you more. I have subscribed to your channel.
I sub'd today cause a friend of Zep is a friend of mine 💖That guy is Jimmy Page n that solo well let's just say it's PERFECTION. I agree "Since I've been loving you" same concert MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 73 you will not regret. Zep is a rabbit hole you need to explore✌️
Back a few years ago, well many years, there was a poster with an iconic photo of Page and Plant from this concert at Madison Square Garden 1973, I had it on my bedroom wall along side the 2 posters from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album that came out in '73 too. I was in high school when Led Zeppelin IV came out, just another great album by them. You need to react to "Dazed and Confused" from this same concert. Also Heart's version of this song at the Kennedy center honors.
it's a bit of a marathon but you just gotta get a copy of the Zeppelin movie ''The Song Remains The Same'' and watch the whole thing... you won't regret it and once it's in y'brain ...... well you'll see ..., and hear.
This is the last reaction I am listening to the second time. The pink Floyd reactions brought me to your channel. I liked them so I watched the Zepplin and Maiden ones and I was hooked. I am going through all your videos backward so I still have a way to go. By the way, you look great with or without makeup you look gorgeous. With the nicest eyes, I just wish I could figure out what color they are(it changes).
If I’m not mistaken that’s a Welsh accent so you may be interested to know that the initial chord sequence to this song was written by Jimmy Page & Robert Plant in a small 18th Century cottage called Bron Yr Aur located in the hills just outside Machynlleth in mid Wales. The song was then completed and recorded at a country house in Hampshire called Headly Grange. It’s considered by many to be the greatest rock song of all time. Cymru am byth
Led Zeppelin burst into the rock world - The Beatles revolution, which was beyond great - in the late '60s and hard rock had it's Master. (Many disagree, but that's too bad.) The songs, the instruments, and the VOICE provided by Led Zep set a stage in music that is on the level of the Greats. We know them all: Elvis, Sinatra, and all true fans know the rest.
I remember clearly hearing this the first time..was about 15 when i first listened to this beautiful song…that was 50 yrs ago and their music still stands strong as ever.

Even in 2020 it´s unbelievable for me that someone on planet earth doesn´t know this song :D
There's a reason this somg was ranked #31 in Rolling Stone's top 500 rock songs. I suggest Since
I've Been Loving You should be next. I really enjoyed your reaction.
Oh damn cool you got the live version even better
You should listen to the Heart cover at the Kennedy center honors show. It brought tears to Robert Plant. They were the only band that got a standing ovation not only from the crowd but also from the Wilson sisters idols the 3 remaining members of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant said was the best cover ever.
Great music is timeless. New generations embrace it!
You have tears in your eyes? You are not allone! I`m 70, and i`ve tears everytime when i hear this song
Hello, I have a serious question, why is literally no one reacting to "Raign, knocking on heavens door" So powerful, beautiful, complex and emotional. Such a unique voice. Have a nice day.
You will love The Lemon Song and Kashmir
First off you look great, I saw them in 73 and 75, so much for you to discover
can I suggest if you haven't seen it -- watching Heart doing "Stairway" at the Kennedy Center when Zeppelin got a career award during the Obama Administration, and the surviving 3 are filmed watching the performance -- and Jason Bonham, the late John's son is playing with Heart ...... VERY emotional
I wish I could hear this for the first time again
Number one song of all time...period.
They used to play this at our school dances, the whole of it. Started as a slow dance....
❤❤❤! So Beautiful...
After hearing this you must listen to the Kennedy Center Tribute to Zeppelin headlined by Heart. Fantastic.
a top song and your life will never be the same as the song remains the same....
Great reaction video!
YOU GET IT ❤
I sub'd today cause a friend of Zep is a friend of mine 💖That guy is Jimmy Page n that solo well let's just say it's PERFECTION.
Great reaction, cant wait to see more :)
One word...Legendary!
You can also react to Heart singing stairway to heaven at Kennedy center!!
You picked the BEST version, the one I as a guitarist consider the benchmark of all things Stairway
Nice work reminds me of the 1st time I heard this. I was like OK music just took another step. Whats next. Enjoy it
If you like the guitar solo, you should hear Heartbreaker and Dazed and confused
