Little Bray hasn't changed too much. We never see crowds anymore coming out of the Holy Redeemer church like that nowadays. The river Dargle and the Peoples park have changed. But oh my the rest of our town has changed dramatically. Thank you for this great memory.
I love it when this kind of video pop up out of nowhere! I was on a VEC media course in Stillorgan that same year and it reminds me of borrowing the course video camera and taking similar shots of Stillorgan. You kept your footage and mine is long lost. Well done and thanks! :¬)
Looking at the speed of the DART heading into Dublin. Now the DART only travels approx 12/15mph. Its great seeing old vid coverage of Bray 33 years ago. Post up more. Was looking to see if I recognised anyone coming out of the Holy Redeemer. The Priest on the top of the steps outside the Church may have been Fr. John OConnell (RIP 2022) Parish Priest of the Holy Redeemer.
I think all the original Dart trains and carriages are still in use (except a few that were destroyed in a train depot fire). They have been refurbished though, which is why they look a bit different nowadays.

I used to come to Bray for 4 weeks every summer to spend time with my family. Loved it!

They move quickly back then too. Today it's like being pulled by a donkey 🙄
