Oh boy. Was this a tough video to do. One, because it was so long, and two, because of what this song's about. I felt so bad for doing this to Rarity and making certain characters evil. It wasn't easy.
People have had Rarity and Pinkie in opposite roles and I almost did the same thing, but then considered the nature of this song and the number of suitors Rarity has. It made finding clips easy. Seriously though, I think it's safe to say, of all of Henry VIII's wives, Katherine Howard had it the worst.

Francis Dereham - Fancy Pants (he had more interest in business and was probably the more serious/casual of Rarity's relationships)

Every scene with Discord and Rarity's "romance" makes me cringe, and that's the perfect mood for how the relationship IRL was.
Damn... It’s especially sad how all of this happened to Katherine so young. I completely understand why this took so long, it’s the most intense song on the soundtrack. I’d say you did a fantastic job portraying everything DF. Bravo! *applauds*

In all seriousness I really think the show did her justice when I first listened to these songs and you did a great job with the PMV. Rest In Peace Katherine Howard. 💕

Yeah. Only ones I didn't stick to were Boleyn's green and Cleves' red, cuz they didn't mix well with Pinkie's and Rainbow's colors. And Applejack was more an orange than a yellow.
Also I legit got chills when you used the "filly rarity being pulled towards the rock" scene to represent her being groomed... man this had some dark but effective editing
gosh you nailed Katherine's breakdown in the end so well, I was almost starting to get a lil misty eyed the same way when I watched this one really good fan animatic of the song. You did an amazing job on handling a heavy song like this, it was worth the wait
This was so well done, I don't even know what to say. Almost hard to watch in places, but that's exactly how it should be. I never thought a PMV would make me so emotional. As much as I hate to see poor Spike cast as the faux 'nice guy' who thinks he's entitled to a relationship, using him made the betrayal sting even more. That poor woman...I'm glad this musical was able to tackle a topic as difficult as this in such a respectful way, and that you were able to translate it into a PMV so well. Great work all around.
This was honestly completely disturbing to watch, but your editing here is stellar! This might be the best lip-syncing you’ve ever done! Love the kiss at the end too! It’s so sad what people did to this poor woman, but I’m glad this musical brings more awareness to it.
Wow. That was heavy. Phenomenal job displaying the dark topics of this song. I feel so bad for Rarity now. I felt so bad seeing young innocent Rarity with Trenderhoof. It really showed the age gap well. I love how you made the video darker and how Rarity looked more haggard by the end of it. It really showed her panic and her realization that this is not normal. Spectacular job.
Truthfully I think Thomas might of actually had feelings for Katherine since we didn't get an estimated time for them hanging out. But through friendship realized he liked her and was just confessing his feelings for her when they said he had a connection. Like I don't think he ment to use Katherine. But the right words just sent her into a spiral.

Wow. I guess the up side is that if Katherine Howard is Rarity, that would mean she’d get to grow up and be fabulous and have her own amazing career. I think I will add that to my personal headcanon: instead of dying, K Howard wakes up on the train to Ponyville and takes over the Carousel Boutique as the ten among these threes.

Girl, this was amazing! I got kinda uncomfortable watching it (not gonna stop me from putting it on repeat though). The scenes with Henry were so creepy and you even found a perfect use for that King Discord shot. All in all this was brutal but really well edited!
It´s so so messed up that they teach her in history as a promiscuous woman when in reality she was a victim of sexual assault nobody helped. Poor poor Katherine, I hope someday they show what really happened in school .
Well we may never know the full details, but that first time when she was 13 was DEFINITELY not consensual.
@@DisneyFanatic2364 Considering Katherine was 20 at the oldest when she died (an adolescent technically) and all these men seemed to have been far older than her, that possibly none of these relationships were really consensual.

Yo, you've done it again, DF! So well put together. I was late for the premiere, but I'm so glad I get to finally see this. And I predicted right about which guy was playing who! Plus, I laughed when Discord came out with his Henry outfit; I totally forgot that was in the show! I know was probably a hard vid to do, given the subject matter, but I once again commend for pulling this video off. Lovely job. Can't wait to see the next one. :)

Please keep in mind that Katherine was in her late adolescence (somewhere around 18-20) when she died. This girl didn’t even get the chance to grow up and she was taken advantage by adult men her whole life.
casting spike as thomas kind of unintentionally adds a new layer of drama to this story, since now rarity/katherine is being pursued by someone much younger than herself and has to prove she's better than her childhood abusers...
