If you really want to save money, go after Christmas. That's when I buy trees and decorations at 50%-75% off. It's also fun when you take out the decorations the next x-mas because I forgot what I bought and it's like a Christmas present for me. 🙂

Yes, I do the same thing... And you are SO right about taking out the decorations the next year and getting surprised by what you forgot that you bought on after-Christmas sale. So fun!

Oh and the blanket for the tree skirt great idea, Ive also used round table cloths cut a hole in the center and slid it over no fuss.

I just love the way you style and decorate Kylie!! So my theme, which I do every year(got it from my Mama😆) is just a collection of all our favorite ornaments. Ever year we are gifted different ones. The trees look stunning Kylie!! It’s my fave time of year/activity too. I put Dolly Partons Holly Dolly Christmas album on and spend hours and hours on my trees! We have three trees - The living room main tree (real) will be Red, white, gold, and darker red this year. Not sure what balance of what colour until I come to it! The dining room tree is a slim flocked artificial, this one has a base of dark red and green jewel tones but with quirky little decorations mixed in too. It gives us something interesting to look at over dinner as there’s fun little things hidden all over (this year I’ve bought the worlds smallest Elf on a Shelf to tuck in for example!). My third is another slim flocked artificial and this goes in the conservatory. This is where our house bunnies lived, we just lost our last one in September at age 12. We call it The bunnies/Lola’s tree & is themed with little woodlandy animals and a berry garland. We will still do it even though they are no longer with us. I am looking forward to all your Christmas content coming up! x
I am doing mine with a lot of clear glass, icicles and glass charms with burgundy and gold.

Suggestion: use wooden dowels or stick created by cutting apart wire hangers instead of wooden spoons and attach for the star. You can keep it in permanently and you have the spoons for cooking.

To move the tree while your decorating, put those small furniture sliders in the bottom of the tree stand. You will be surprise how easy it is to move the tree around!
We fluff as we go as well. We also add the extra lights as we go. Just easier than having to go back afterwards and move the branches around. Looks absolutely beautiful ladies!

LOVE THEM !!! I am going with a woodland meets farmhouse look this year. I tried just the woodland last year and I didn't care for it at all lol This year I figured I would add a little farmhouse to it and remove the pieces I really didn't care for, fingers crossed I like it or it will be redone completely !!

I love your videos and how you and your mom work together so well. I love your relationship. One thing I wish both of you wouldn't do is get your lips filled in. Your both so beautiful with out it and its so obvious they are turned up when we see you sideways. Its not really flattering in my opinion. Your trees always look amazing. I tried the ribbon 🎀 on my tree last year and it was an epic fail. hopefully now this year I can get it right. My question is do you have to use ribbon with wire through it to get the best outcome?

LOL no theme for our tree, we have a 6ft? with colored stationary, we love blinkers so we add a strand of colored blinkers, then its any decoration we have kept thru the years, my MIL gave my son a kiddie Hallmark ornament from first to 5th yr of his life, we have garfield a christmas mouse just lots of fun bunch of different colorful ornaments.

I love it! I have 5 trees 2 are 3 foot small wall trees in my bathroom the theme is ice blue white and silver with polar bears 🐻 😀, my hallway tree as you walk in is a 8foot slim green snow tipped tree with a red gold and hinter green santa claus theme I have lots of berries and eucalyptus etc on there and have added a jute ribbon along with a Red,green and gold tartan ribbon! My bedroom tree is a 6ft flocked snowy tree with a blush pink and rose gold with white Swan lake theme lots of feathers and ballerinas , ballet shoes and swan ornaments and blush pink clip on roses very romantic and girly and finally my main 8foot full sized lapland style tree in my living room/ kitchen its a red , green and white candyland theme mixed with elf theme very very whooville and whimsy ! I love picks in my trees I would go without ribbon and just fill the whole tree with picks if I could they fill a tree best and take alot of empty spaces .
Very pretty, but how much ribbon did you use for this size tree? How many packages of ornaments? How many strands of beads, etc.? Would be good to see a shot of the inventory used to give me an idea of how much I need to buy at the store. I’ve never decorated a tree like this before and don’t want to under- or over buy.

I have a tiny tiny tree :) and I like silver and white. I use the same ornaments every year because my budget is tight. But I buy one new ornament every year and write the year on it. Its a little present for my self and its fun hunting for :) Here in Norway we don't use ribbon as much, but it looks nice so maybe I will try something new this year. Its always fun to watch your videos :) Happy Christmas from Norway :)

Kylie I love your theme trees and I always get a lot of inspo from your décor. But I'm so curious does your family have a Hodge podge tree? I mean we'll have one tree but we just have a bunch of ornaments that we've collected over the years so they're not all cohesive. But one of the fun parts of Christmas is getting out each ornament and remembering the memories that go behind it, do you guys have a tree like that?

I wish there wasn't Christmas because I lost my grandpa that passed away on December 29th 2014
I can’t even afford a Christmas tree much less to change the themes in the colors on my Christmas tree every year and have to buy new ornaments because I only have one tree so it’s not like I have them laying around from a different tree and I certainly can’t afford to store Them. So I guess my theme is boring because when I have a tree I can afford to add maybe some new things, but I can’t afford to completely change it or change the kind of items that I use or the colors or whatever this year I had to completely forget a tear tree as I did last year because my apartment people made me move and I no longer had any room to store my Christmas stuff nor did I have the money to store it other places so I had to throw it all out. it’s not what is about anyway. So thankful Jesus was born to save me from my sins. Kylies trees are always so beautiful. So much talent and such a good eye.
I can't wait to start decorating my apartment hopefully these maintenance people come early to clean so I can get my Christmas wonderland up and hopefully I can get more decor bc it's never enough Christmas decor let's be real

Love this video. For the star on top, I use that long piece at the top of the tree and wrap it around the spiral part of the star to help hold it up. Kinda like screwing it on!

My question is..with that many kids..there's no possible way they don't have ornaments the kids have made in the previous years. Where do those go? Do yall really not keep them? Also..I love the way you decorate the trees..don't get me wrong. But..a family tradition is everyone decorating a tree together. And using those ornaments the kids made in the past. Do yall not have that? Cuz it makes me sad if not. Since yall do so many trees..you should have one in like the family room with all that stuff and that everyone goes and does together.

My first tree video of 2023!!!! Glad I found you - I am a new subscriber! My Hint: YES! Do the blanket for a skirt, or you can mix and match throws that coordinate with your color and theme. One thing I ALWAYS do is to ball up wads of tissue paper (different sizes, of course) and arrange them UNDER the "skirt". This eliminates the "frozen pond" look by giving it gentle elevations - and when you start to add presents, the piles just flatten under the weight!
