You know what I like about your English, it makes sense and helps. You have a fantastic pronunciation which really impresses me every time I watched your video. You are straightforward in giving the examples and the ways to your audience, I love it. You are a mentor to many people, and I hope the majority will improve: prove me right.

You know the instructor always plays a great role to persuade her listeners to watch her videos from the starts to the ends, based on the tone or facial expression that she is applying.

8:07 "I can see that you're really angry" for some reason this would make me angrier, it's a mix of stating the obvious plus making the person own the anger like it's completely their issue. I'd rather have someone tell me: "I can understand [the situation] is upsetting and I'm sorry." I'd much rather someone own the responsibility if they failed me (or at least put it on the situation rather than pretending it's just me who is angry and not even mention what's going on.) Just my 2 cents while picturing myself in the position of the receiving party.

Hello. AnneMarie. I am so excited because through your videos I've been learning a large amount about English and how to be fluent, however, I've been having a hard time when I am assaying to comprehend some videos when the people are talking in casual environments such as streets, interviews etc. I mean, most of them are using a kind of unlike words? I am into the English language despite my level I am struggling with this matter anyway that's is happening to me right now. Thanks for teaching us the best way to be confident in English. You are awesome!

Hi Juan, thanks so much for the comment and for watching. It sounds like what you're struggling with is understanding connected speech. I often highlight examples of this in my videos. For example, when native speakers say, "I want to" it sounds like "I wanna." Or when we say, "I'm going to..." it sounds like "I'm gonna." This can be really difficult if you don't understand how native speakers blend sounds. But once you now about it, you'll hear it and understand it.

I work in an assisted living community for seniors with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Notify the family when one of them passes away is part of our job. There is no easy way to break this kind of news. I called the family (several times before and after) and since no one answered I had to left a message because we have to notify the family as soon as possible (the family new she was about to pass away when they left after visiting her)...so i said..."I am calling from "name of the assisted community" I am so sorry to tell you this by phone but you're mom passed away. I am very sorry for your loss. And don't worry, she didn't die alone, I was sitting next to her holding her hand (I was), again I am very sorry and hung up.

Nisey, that sounds like such a difficult job. But you clearly have a lot of sympathy and empathy. You shared that news by telephone perfectly well. Thank you for sharing your example. I know it will be helpful for others to read as an example. And thank you for doing the work that you do and for caring for others. ❤️

    1. Sophi, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it for your B'day party next month. I know we were planning this party for weeks. But, unfortunately something urgent came up at my work and I will be travelling. I'm sorry. I know this isn't what you wanted. I promise you, once I travel back we can go to any of your favorite place.
    2. Hi everyone! I'm afraid I've got some bad news. After consulting the management, I learnt and have to tell you all that, the company is facing some financial crisis and running out of budget for our bonuses this year. Hopefully we'll sail though this phase soon with all of your support.
