This song has no business being so spectacular!
Y’know, I thought about it and…this song actually fits perfectly with Diesel 10’s character in Magic Railroad. Especially with the lyrics. “I really hate you, stop getting in my way” reflects his thoughts on the steam engines, the name of the song (die in a fire) not only reflects his thoughts on everyone around him (human, Steam or diesel), but it’s also exactly what he tried to do to James and Junior when he cornered them in the smelting pit. The “I’ve lost my patience, when are you gonna decay” lyric fits his goals towards both worlds of Sodor and Shining Time and how D10 is easy to lose his temper, and the “if you come back once more, it shall be painful, you’ll see”, “don’t be afraid…it’s not the first time you’ll die…”, and “once I get my second chance, I won’t leave you alone” lyrics also reflect his plans regarding Lady and how he wants to find and destroy her a second time.
And the sugar on the cream (no pun intended) is that D10’s psychopathic and sadistic personality actually fits William Afton’s character.
Overall, this cover is just perfection for Diesel 10’s character.
