Early in the year I gave my sister a gentle retinol serum and she said that she broke out in hives and had an allergic reaction. A few weeks later in the Spring, I developed severe allergies and eczema on my face when I have never experienced it before. My aunt had the same problem. I have oily, not dry skin. It's extremely rare to develop eczema as an adult when you never had it as a child. I am still battling an eczema patch on one smile line and one eyelid. Millions of people have reported more severe allergies this year. Crops aren't growing like they used to. The government agencies are spraying the air like crazy (for a number of reasons) and you can see all the chem trails. It's a normal reaction to think it's the products but it's the air and allergens.
This is a good exercise for people! Focus on using what you love and fill the gaps with the items that you still enjoy and don't want to get rid of but wouldn't be sad about losing or not finishing in time. I'm panning my Tarte Make Believe in Yourself palette this year for this reason. I noticed some of the shades were drying out. I love this palette and bought it used years after it was discontinued because I couldn't stop thinking about it, and i felt like that wouod be a shame to waste so I've been focusing on it for about a year now and am aiming to finish as much as possible this year. I have a panning plan for next year because my collection is large and I want to move some things out, but it includes more of my favourite items! It makes me excited to do my makeup every day.
Totally agree! 💖 Oh that Tarte palette is so beautiful! I'm glad you are able to enjoy it now. Your next years panning plan sounds great! I feel my collection is at the point that right now panning doesn't make a lot of sense. But if I ever pan again, it will for sure be my favorite products!
I always struggled with pan that palette because I felt like I neglected my other eyeshadow. So I don't do pan that palette anymore and instead do usage goals during panning projects.
That really is a downside in Pan That Palette, so I understand why it doesn't for for a lot of people. I always love the project in the beginning, but after a while it starts to feel forced and I miss using other eyeshadows.
Oh I'm sorry that this happened, I'd also be really disappointed if my curated eyeshadows with colors that really worked for me turned bad, I kind of wished you shopped for comparable shades to your favourites from the magnetic palette, and got single eyeshadows but I understand in the heat of the moment buying Catrice eye palette
I have been thinking about single eyeshadows, but honestly right now it feels such a hassle to purchase them, especially since I don't really love eyeshadow anymore. I still decided to keep the magnetic palette if I change my mind later. Currently I feel more drawn to quads and small neutral palettes. Ideally I would want to have couple of those Charlotte Tilbury or other luxury quads as everyday palettes since they would also fit into my makeup bag. But they are so expensive I can't justify buying those right now.
@@KatariinasVanity For sure, I don't wear eyeshadow at all, so I was thinking minimal but few high quality eyeshadows, don't know how fast an eyeshadow could get to an empty pan.
I saw that the original Urban Decay Naked palette was re-released. I was curious about your thoughts on that palette and whether you think it would suit your current tastes 😀
I saw that too and I'm happy they broght it back! It's such a classic and I see the color story working for many people. That being said, I had the palette back in the days and I think it was leaning little bit too cool for me. While it has some stunning shades like Half Baked, I probably wouldn't get any use out of those gunmetals and purple leaning shades.
I needed this video. I have a fenty gloss that is 6 years old and I think it dries out my lips because it is expired. I still want to use it up, because it was expensive. But is it worth having chapped lips to do so?

Also - sometimes it is the products! But this year, its often the air that's the problem
idk what caused it but i developed eczema as an adult, it was quite a shock
I'm with you, I no longer save the special or expensive products. I use them and love them while they are still good enough to use.
That's a smart way to use makeup💖 Sad I had to learn it the hard way with eyeshadows

agreed, no point of panning those expired palettes. You've learned your lesson of mindful buying and that is the takeaway :)
Thanks! 💖

I would say since it already causes problems just declutter it. Instead use something newer that you love and enjoy wearing 💖
