- Starting in Pulborough, the River Arun in West Sussex is a great place to go kayaking or paddle-boarding. In this video we take a paddle a couple miles up river and find a place to wild camp for the night.

Greetings from Kazakhstan! Got my Explorer k2 delivered today. Can't wait to try it. Meanwhile just watching you guys enjoying the trip.
Hope you enjoy getting out on it! Thanks for watching
This was a cracking little trip on the river. Although if someone were to just listen to audio at around 11.45, they might be forgiven for thinking that they were watching something else entirely 😂
Haha! You rumbled our crafty 'technique' for getting more subscribers. Or perhaps we are scaring them off!?
Great video mate. I like how you say someone was using a chainsaw all night as if that’s normal ha ha I’d be terrified
Thanks! Ha and yes, tbh it was a little concerning with the Texas Chainsaw having a late night.
What a nice trip! Do you you neeed a licence to paddle on that river? Also, have you ever had trouble with wild camping eg someone asking you to leave? That's my fear 😩
Don't think you need a license? Ha... and I've never been asked to move wildcamping and I've done it a lot! 😊
Great video guys :)) added to our to do list...!
Cheers Mat. Defo recommended. So easy to park right (free on a Sunday) and right next to the slope into the water. Lots of nice scenery too!
Amazing what you can do with an Intex K2: carrying 2 people, a dog and camping gear for an overnight trip.
True that. Could carry a decent amount!
A lovely adventure and beautiful environments 😊 I am happy you didn't capsize 😂 It looked a tad wobbly with all the luggage. But you are obviously skilled canooe paddlers so it went well - mostly 😁 And Emma's clothes dried probably during the night 😊
It was a bit wobbly but the kayak held up well. Less can be said for Emma's clothes drying during the night. It was very dewy and cold!
@@WestGoesEast An adventure nevertheless, I guess 😄 But poor Emma 😳 I reckon both of you plus the dog are home and warm now 😀
Nice boat!
Ta
Canadian open canoe is the way to go! I want to do a 2 or 3 day trip on the River Wye.
I know. You got one? Ha.
I've done a day on the wye but not 3
@@WestGoesEast I wish! I would have to hire one. I got to Training Instructor level years ago so it would be good to do it.
11.53 is my favorite part. Thats your teaser clip
and crashing into the bridge at the end was good.
Haha! pure filth
why she got her paddle wrong way round
Because she was getting to grips with it and is not a professional kayaker perhaps?
first rule of wild camping LEAVE NO TRACE NOT A PILE OF CHARRED FIRE WOOD
If you're referring to the logs next to when Woody was licking the mess tin, they were cleared and you wont find no trace. If you are referring to the few bits of wood for the boat launch then my bad but they were found by the bank anyway.
Poor Emma 😂😂😂
A bit of wild swimming as well as wild camping.
No life vests ?
Correct
Why is she paddling with the back of the paddles at the start of the video? 😂
Because she was getting to grips with it and is not a professional kayaker perhaps?
