- The last stage of the four-day Golden Jubilee weekend in London saw a large, vibrant parade on The Mall that represented various aspects of British and Commonwealth culture and history. It was watched by the royal family, seated on a dais by the Victoria Memorial. After the unveiling of a specially designed, Commonwealth-themed balcony hanging, The Queen and her relatives appeared on the famous Buckingham Palace balcony. They were serenaded by the choir and the crowd with songs including 'We'll Keep A Welcome' and 'Land of Hope and Glory', while Concorde, the Red Arrows and other aircraft honoured Her Majesty with a fly-past.
(The audio is a bit out of sync in one or two places.)
By the way ... Look at all these people living in the moment ... using their hands to clap and dance and wave, not to hold chunks of plastic and silicon in front of their faces ...
