I love these videos that “nerd out” . I like the Fogo brand. Perhaps a Fogo Vs Jealous Devil charcoal episode ? Also, that Fogo Blazaball looks sweet. My wife and I tailgate @ Milwaukee Brewers & Green Bay Packers games (tailgating is a ritual for us Wisconsinites 😂) as well as camping with an abundance of beautiful state parks and more natural lakes than you know what to do with. That Blazaball would pair great with our Smokey Joe. Anyway, enough of my rambling lol; I really enjoy your content, man. Thank you.
Thank you! It means a lot to me that you are enjoying the content. As you may already know, I too love the outdoors and frequently camp. That was the first thing I thought of too with the blazaball, “ this would be perfect as a travel starter!” 😂
What am I missing? I don’t understand why you need to use a charcoal starter a piece of newsprint with a couple of teaspoons of cooking oil on it under a charcoal starter has always worked for me. I can imagine burning cooking oil isn’t the healthiest option, but it can’t really be worse than burning wax? It seems to me that they’ve came up with a solution for a problem that didn’t exist.
Bud nice video I can tell you I buy it straight from fogo and it’s two days easy breezy I was a b&b diehard now switched to fogo briquettes!!! I got two bags for 49.00 to My house world for me
Great question. I found that they hold together well if used within about 5-7 days. Ofcourse, climate matters. I live in sunny California so your mileage may vary
@tomwadek I've tried lump and briquettes in jealous devil, b&b, cowboy, and blues hog, Rockwood lump, and Kingsford professional and original. Fogo is new territory for me.
Wow! We are so glad that you love our charcoals so much!! Thanks for a great and informative video!
I appreciate the feedback!
Comparison would probably be better by weight instead of total briquettes given how large the FOGO are in comparison. Thanks for the vid

Loved the comparison. I use Fogo. I live in Southern Cal. I get mine at Barbeques Galore. If you have one near you, check it out.
Thanks for the tip!
When I cook with Kingsford charcoal it takes 3 hr to go out I am able to cook chicken sausage, Hot links, burger patties hotdogs steaks
very cool!
Went to lump charcoal and never going back to briquettes
Fogo is good stuff, I'm in SoCal and Wild Fork carries Fogo black bag for about $19.

Burning newspaper creates a lot of unnecessary smoke and upsets my neighbors. If it works fine for you then great.
First! 😎🔥
Second!

That’s wonderful. I may just do that going forward. Cheers
How is the re light on the briquettes? Do they hold together more like Kingsford, or do they crumble like b&b/blues hog?

@@tomwadek pnw Washington here. I'm definitely interested in trying a bag of the briquettes and a black bag of lump.
@@BrokeGuyBBQ the black bag is amazing. Love that stuff. The briquets are my new daily drivers

@@BrokeGuyBBQkeep me posted. Let me know what you think
I order Fogo direct. You didn't tell us how the steak tasted compared to other fuels.
I believe I did. I didn’t have to use any wood yet the steak still had a great woody flavor. The steak came out great. Loved the char too
I’ll have to pick up some fogo briquettes. What I would say B&B is $10 a bag from Walmart online so that’d be a good comparison.
Very cool. How many pounds is the bag?
17.6 lbs@@tomwadek
I live in the bay area in CA, none of the local Ace carry it.
I feel you! Nag those store managers lol
Great video, I'll be checking the fogo out
Definitely check them out. Good to hear from you again Juan. Hope you’re doing well. Cheers!
Well, it IS Kalifornia. Surprised you are still allowed to grill!!
I love fogo charcoal can’t wait to try the briquettes!
Would the FOGO charcoals be better for lowkey apartment/condo BBQing if I'm trying to lower the smoke and smoke smell?
they do produce less odor and combustion smoke but it is still noticeable
