Last weekend I took my two nephews on a fishing trip as a reward for doing well at end of term tests!
We usually book a charter with Captain Raamiz on The Reel Nutz (480-1357) to do some river mouth fishing for Snook & Tarpon as they really enjoy that type of fishing! However, on this day, the river was completely brown as rain from the days leading up to the trip made fishing conditions terrible.
We decided to head out to the old faithful spot..."The Wreck"...As soon as we started fishing, the small men started catching fish after fish. Not very big ones, but a lot! Unfortunately, I was having some issues with my GoPro and missed a lot of the action...
Eventually the GoPro kicked into action and I was able to capture the best part of the action as we ended up getting on a really nice salmon (weakfish) bite. After pulling in the first one, I left it up to the small men on board to catch the rest...
Although they really wanted to catch some snook & tarpon, the water conditions just did not allow it. We still had a great day out and the small men enjoyed themselves!
