    Pretty! I like to combine the two techniques. Sometimes, I'll braid half-way down & then start twisting, & finish the tips with a finger coil. That way I get the stretch & also the curl at the end. Btw, I'm loving the natural vids, but I'm still here for the crochet as well.

    Found a video that said oatmeal/honey/lemon reduces unwanted hair. Been doing it for a week. I'm very optimistic. I notice it is growing slower.

    First of all, I love your hair color! Second, to me, the braid side gives you more volume and length. The twist out side looks more like a corkscrew curl but not much volume. Both look beautiful on you! It would be great if you could do a perm rod tutorial. Thanks for your videos! 😊 ❤️

  • @aishaliane

    Come through different content! My go to is a braid out, which gives great definition and looks like a twist out by the end of the day. My twist outs have poor definition and look like a cotton ball by the end of the day.

    • @LiaLavon
      @LiaLavon  4 года назад +1

      In hindsight I think I really did like the definition of that braid out side. I think I was just harder on it cause it took a letter longer. 😩But I definitely want to try it again without doing the LOC method.

    I like the braid out side better. Do you wear your natural hair twisted? If so can you do a week in the life of twisted hair. I twist mine but if I'm wearing it a week I don't know how to care for it while it's twisted. Thanks. Also my front patch of hair does the same thing..lol

    I don’t use the LOC method. I use NYC Curls products so I leave in some of the conditioner and use either AG Cloud mousse or NYC Gel before I twist. I do want to try a braid out based on your video. My hair in front has less curl pattern than the rest so I need to scrunch with AG Cloud to get more control and definition.

    Twist out I love the definition it get. You know you don't have to wear a cap under the steamer you're not getting the full benefit of it

    • @LiaLavon
      @LiaLavon  4 года назад

      I do like a slight migration with the cap. I start with the fully on, then move it back, and then fully take it off for like the tail end. I think I show how I do it in a prior natural styles video ❤️

    How do you know the porosity? Cold or hot water when I wet my hair I can't tell.

    • @LiaLavon
      @LiaLavon  Год назад

      I saw a good video on Tik Tok that explained it very well but it’s truly how does water penetrate your hair. Doesn’t matter the water. Is your type the hair that gets wet quickly or does it take a lot of time for the water to get in. Same thing with products. Do conditioners soak into your hair or does it feel like products just sit on top of your hair.

  • @LovingKatina
    @LovingKatina 4 года назад

    Why do you use a plastic cap under the steamer?

    • @LiaLavon
      @LiaLavon  4 года назад +1

      Kinda the same rationale as plastic caps under dryers when deep conditioning. The only difference is I start with it on, move it back after about 3 minutes, then take it fully off after 5. Don’t know why that’s been my process. It just sorta works for me.
