This show is really a treat and I did not know that it existed?...Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you.
@@PizzaFLIX can you please upload "The Next Step Beyond"? & Rod Serling "Sixth Sense"?
Thx🤗
@@PizzaFLIX 8am and and great
@@msbrowngault Rod Sterling’s Night Gallery is one I wish they would do . Night Gallery is one of the rarest of the Anthology shows to find and of course , it was an underrated show . I even thought it was better than Twilight Zone
Awesome show 👍
I am grateful to RUclips for such great TV series.
I love black and white movies. What a relief to see they're still available.
I would have eaten this show with a spoon if I had seen it as a kid, it is right up my alley. Thanks a million for posting it here. It is really good, and seeing peerless Boris Karloff in something new to me is an added bonus.
This has Got to be my new Favorite version of a Jack The Ripper story.
That is quite the fireplace! 🔥
Mr. Karloff, what a wonderful. sophisticated. intelligent, gentle man and a great actor.
Indeed he was.
Like the fireplace entrance over the office entry.
What an amazing horror anthology this show was. Too bad it wasn't aired at it's time. It was well written, acted and filmed. Dont understand why its the greatest hirror series never aired 😢😢😢. We really missed out on a masterpiece back in the day. Thankyou so much 🍕
Its raining may 9 2023 and enjoying this series whilst the sound of rain ☔🌧️ hits the windiws
I love these classics !
Love the Two 'old Dearies' (ladies), under the clock at 4:00; that is great characterization in being a Character Actor....
So glad to have found these videos on youtube! They're beautifully filmed and it's always great to see Boris Karloff. Sci fi and the paranormal have been favorites of mine since I was 8 yrs old. I'm 63 now and youtube has been like a gift to me.
Well, you deserve a gift, just for being the only person on the internet to express thanks for accessibility of older media without feeling the need to add a snide dismissal of everything currently being produced!
Ken Lieck What a nice surprise to read your comment. Thanks!
Well, I'm 45, and I'd like to make a snide dismissal of everything being currently produced! Crap!
Seriously, TV of the late 1950s to the early 1960s hit a high in quality, and I love watching all of it. It's a gift to me, too.
Regardless, you've had a tough life. From you I will accept it!
HOLLISTERPATRICIA YOU'RE MY KIND OF PEOPLE, YOUR COMMENT BRINGS JOY TO MY HEART, KNOWING THAT I'M NOT ALONE IN HAVING GREAT TASTE IN GREAT SHOW'S 😊
BORIS KARLOFF IS THE MASTER OF HORROR
Love Boris Karloff
i love the old scary movies
Thanks a lot, always enjoy Boris Karloff.
William Henry Prate ... a fuck fake just like all the rest of the Holly weirdos.
@@tonytafoya6217 I feel sorry for you. I hope you get some help .
The setting is like those Edgar Allan Poe stories from Roger Corman particularly the House Of Usher
Thanks Pizza Fix, love all these shows. Always enjoyed watching Karloff back in my day, so great to be able to see all these now. You always have the best movies, & anthologogies, such a variety of great things to watch.
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you.
🌍 Excellent program 👍👍👍
I love the room in the beginning
This reminds me of "One Step Beyond".
Yes indeed ANGELIA alot like *One Step Beyond" 👌🏻
Yes.
New series to me!... Very surprised how really good most of the episodes are. Thanks
Jack the Rippers success in killing and never be known was all thanks to the community people who had ideas and versions of their own. It was confusing and misleading most of the time. He knew the nature of people. He relied his safety on their fancy stories.
Pretty spooky, enjoyed this one .....a lot.........
produced by Hal Roach Studios. Never shown. Mr. Karloff was never paid for his work. Chances are no one else got paid either. Law suits galore. Most unfortunate as this superior series definitely deserved better.
I most definitely agree
I love the room that Mr. Karloff sits in as he introduces us to the show. Wait! He wasn't in this episode, was he? Or was he the tall slender man walking away into the park?
😊 ... 👌🏻
He wasn't in this one because this episode doesn't belong to the series. It was added later, but it was a foreign production.
What a great episode.
Pizza Fix thanks for the awesome uploads. always a pleasure
very nice. I own the series Thriller which Karloff introduced which also had a Jack the Ripper episode. so nice to compare/contrast.
Those are the best , just like "One Step Beyond" , "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" , "Alfred Hitchcock Hour" and "Lights Out" 😊 👍
@@rafaelramirez1507 I own all of AHP too!
These are great episodes very clear to 👍👍💥💥
Nice to see. Instead of cowering in fear, his wife has moxie!
Great show!!
Came here because its mentioned in Jack the Ripper, a New Investigation, by Alex Duggan.
I've never heard of this show and I'm old.
Cuz it never aired on television J Reyas
This is a brilliant drama set amid the Whitechapel murders of 1888. Surprisingly for a TV drama from the 50s it uses some real names and locations. The ending is really good and plausible and seems to suggest, with a name change, that the ripper was - ???
(It’s easy for anyone who has studied the murders to work out who the finger of suspicion is being pointed at!). It also suggests the rippers last murder was the one at Mitre Square, leaving Mary Kelly’s up for debate.
Thank you
Hard to believe that The Whitechapel killer may have actually been alive when this aired
Wow, an episode where Karloff doesn't star in.
For those who don't know--Boris Karloff is the narrator who introduces the program....
Steven Torrey AKA William Henry Pratt.
The same of Hitchcock, in that he wrote and directed every different TV series, Which is false, but he was the main decision-maker along with his mainstay producer Joan Harrison! But he was the mastermind of all of his films! Sir Alfred!
Who doesn’t know Boris Karloff?...
Excellent ☺
Love Boris, great story, in the cast the fat womans was played by mai Bacon😮
Niall Maginnis, famed Irish actor.
What that woman said about torturing animals sounded very evil and sadistic.
No matter where when or how , the torture of animals is evil ... bottomline
She was basically saying what she saw her husband doing Evelyn
@@rafaelramirez1507 But human torture is fine...
@@alphaomega8373 nope , let me put it this way , the torture of any living species is wrong
One scene in this episode there was a white brick building with a cast iron black fence. In Granada TV's 1984-1994 Sherlock Holmes Series featuring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, 221B Baker Street was housed in a building which resembled the building I had previously mentioned. When I watched the credits from The Veil this episode was filmed in a studio in England; otherwise this is a Hal Roach (Little Rascals, Laurel & Hardy, etc.) Production.
were these after thriller? the quality is great .
immrnoidall 1958 so 3 yrs before Thriller.
Isn't this the plot of "From Hell?"
Yes it is.
The woman in these old movies are so beautiful 😍
I agree
I most definitely agree 👍
So--did Durst get the reward? 100 pounds was a lot of money in those days.
Why was this series never broadcast in the U. S ? Was it broadcast overseas? It predated "Thriller" by at least two years . Did "The Veil" have anything to do with "Thriller" ?
Got burned in a deal today.
Burned ...

when and where did this show premier???i love finding it HERE THANK YOU
It never aired on television but here is where you'll find most or all of the episodes 👌🏻
I am watching it on a channel called “best tv ever” you get it through prime
OMG! Dr Julian Karswell, well I never. Don't accept any gifts from him.
A lot of the names are changed but that might be due to legal reasons.
What's up with the East End of London???
The Durst guy looks alot like Paul Sovrino to me :)
That's what I thought also
Good one Ella , I agree 👍
@@rafaelramirez1507 I had forgotten, as it was over 4 yrs ago I watched this. Strange also you commented as Paul Sovrino died just a week or so ago. What timing eh? 😮
@@ellamone9998 yes ... what a coincidence 👌🏻
So Jack the Ripper was a pile of Books, well i've never heard that one before.
Interesting but factually inaccurate. I enjoy this programme, though. Weird and creepy. Thanks.
George Durst - any relation to Robert Durst?
Why aren't they suspicious that he maybe in cahoots with Jack the Ripper & that he's an accomplice?
Aaron Kosminski was jack the ripper
