I LOVE THEM A GMT400! I have had one my whole life I’m 37 now! Currently I own 3 PICK UPS OBN SUBURBAN... All perfect... And yes their is a 6.5TD in the mix...
There's 5 reasons for getting a truck in America. 1) *It's a work truck,* and you likely favour reliability and tow/hauling capacity. Mine is a crew cab, with an 8-foot bed, a canopy full of gear, and I tow a landscaping trailer every day. 2) *It's a family vehicle,* and you need something that can tow your camper for summer vacation trips, or to pick up a piece of furniture. Utilitarian, and not so big that you can't squeeze it into a parking stall at the grocery store. 3) *Toy hauler.* Splurge on the bells and whistles so you can haul your home away from home with all the comforts of home. 4) *Off-roading.* Jacked suspension and off-road tires, meant to climb, not tow. 5) *Status symbol.* Jacked suspension optional, bypassed computer likely, rolling coal, stacks and truck nuts to compensate for the fact that you have an over abundance of testosterone, the personality of a brick, and you don't care who has to breathe it. In Europe and Asia, pickup trucks are pretty rare, and if you have one, it's probably for work, and no bigger than you need it to be.
If you don’t mind me asking how is the truck still holding up I’ve built mine to haul and haven’t put it to the test yet but I’m assuming it will do great.
@@AndraeTaron I love how you put the truck to work and prove haters wrong a lot of ppl underestimate the 6.5 diesel but yours is living proof they work🔥🔥
@@TexasWashIA I tow a 20' landscaping trailer every day with mine. 98 Chevy 3500 dually, with the 6.5L Detroit diesel. The one thing I'd recommend with these duallies older then 2015 is to get a good set of towing mirrors, because you can't see past your own ass with those dinky little stock mirrors.
Well guys I ended up selling my 6.5 I put hella money into the build and it wouldn’t stay cool and it kept running funny I think the block was cracked.
I can not fathom why these duallies even come with stock mirrors. You can't see past your own ass with them. First thing I did with my 98 when I bought it was invest in a good set of 2015 style towing mirrors, 'cause the stock mirrors are absolutely useless on duallies.
Not even close buddy just literally watched with my own 2 eyes a 6.5 turbo diesel pull 26k pounds and 454 would not even come close I could link the video if you would like to see it
The 7.4L/454 was 230-290 HP/385-410 TQ but the 6.5L was 185-210 HP/350-450 TQ. It's obvious that the one with a bit more in torque will absolutely be proficient. It just amazes me about the reputation that these engines got and about them being "underpowered" which is just pure blasphemy, that would be the 6.2L in terms of power. The 6.5L's are more powerful towards their later years than the big blocks and literally are on the same tier as the Cummins 6BT.

He got so excited, forgot to film the truck.
You gonna show the truck or the ground
One Stall Garage Check out other my other videos.
All I mostly saw was grass growing in this video.. I was hoping to see more of the 6.5 since I recently bought a 94’ 3500 6.5L diesel.
This fucking sucks is useing the cam
I have the same exact truck my grandpa passed down to me
Now listen up boys and girls, That's what i call a man's truck!
Diesel duallies FTW. But if I see stacks or truck nuts, I'll think you're just compensating for something.
@@BlackEpyon same here, I think hanging nuts on a truck look stupid and tacky as hell

80% grass recorded

I still have it and the truck still pulls great . I owned it for about 13 years.

I dealt with the 6.5 in up armor hmmwvs and if you don't rev the bolts out of it they will last. I think it was keeping under 2900 or around there.

Beautiful

You are absolutely right !
Learn how to record
They say that same 6.5 is still sitting in that field today
Idk my 97 ram 2500 5.9 Gas pulled 15,000 lbs of dirt. Overloaded 7k trailer
That really 12k?
Yes indeed, each bale is over 1000lbs
That’s nothin have a ford transit 250 3.5 eco boost pull 22 k every day
That’s great but i’m not in competition with anybody I am just documenting some of the things my truck can do.
You do not lmao that would put that shit right in limp mode stop lying to yourself
Bro I have one of these that can pull up to 30k with eas not joking bro.
3.5 eco Bullshit😂. 22k my ass😂
Bruv. No transit van is towing 22k 😂😂😂😂
Imma say the 454 can do better than that.

@@Slim_Slid 6.5 and 6.2 are only on the same tier as a 6bt the day after hell freezes over and engines don’t matter anymore 😅
